Ironically, the Bible that people like Sid Roth claim to follow warns about deception, false teachers, false prophets, and even false messiahs who will even try to use signs and wonders to fool even the "elect" born-again believers
Ironically, the Bible that many of these people believe in or claim to follow actually warns of false teachers, deceivers, false prophets, and even false messiahs whom will perform signs and wonders that will fool even the "elect" born-again believers (Matthew 24:23-26)
There are lots of people, with ideas & actions against the teachings of Jesus, who are awfully sure that they will be going to Heaven. I'm not sure they will. However, I am sure that they will make things a Hell on Earth for the rest of us.
*Why Jesus?* Jesus has been held in high regard by Christians and non-Christians alike. Regardless of whether he existed in history, or whether he was divine, many have asserted that the New Testament Christ character was the highest example of moral living. Many believe that his teachings, if truly understood and followed, would make this a better world. Is this true? Does Jesus merit the widespread adoration he has received? Let’s look at what he said and did. *Was Jesus Peaceable And Compassionate?* The birth of Jesus was heralded with “Peace on Earth,” yet Jesus said, “Think not that I am come to send peace: I came not to send peace but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34) “He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.” (Luke 22:36) “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” (Luke 19:27. In a parable, but spoken of favorably.) The burning of unbelievers during the Inquisition was based on the words of Jesus: “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” (John 15:6) Jesus looked at his critics “with anger” (Mark 3:5), and attacked merchants with a whip (John 2:15). He showed his respect for life by drowning innocent animals (Matthew 8:32). He refused to heal a sick child until he was pressured by the mother (Matthew 15:22-28). The most revealing aspect of his character was his promotion of eternal torment. “The Son of man [Jesus himself] shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:41-42) “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched.” (Mark 9:43) Is this nice? Is it exemplary to make your point with threats of violence? Is hell a kind, peaceful idea? *Did Jesus Promote “Family Values”?* “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:26) “I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” (Matthew 10:35-36) When one of his disciples requested time off for his father’s funeral, Jesus rebuked him: “Let the dead bury their dead.” (Matthew 8:22) Jesus never used the word “family.” He never married or fathered children. To his own mother, he said, “Woman, what have I to do with thee?” (John 2:4) *What Were His Views On Equality And Social Justice?* Jesus encouraged the beating of slaves: “And that servant [slave], which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.” (Luke 12:47) He never denounced servitude, incorporating the master-slave relationship into many of his parables. He did nothing to alleviate poverty. Rather than sell some expensive ointment to help the poor, Jesus wasted it on himself, saying, “Ye have the poor with you always.” (Mark 14:3-7) No women were chosen as disciples or invited to the Last Supper. *What Moral Advice Did Jesus Give?* “There be eunuchs which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.” (Matthew 19:12) Some believers, including church father Origen, took this verse literally and castrated themselves. Even metaphorically, this advice is in poor taste. If you do something wrong with your eye or hand, cut/pluck it off (Matthew 5:29-30, in a sexual context). Marrying a divorced woman is adultery. (Matthew 5:32) Don’t plan for the future. (Matthew 6:34) Don’t save money. (Matthew 6:19-20) Don’t become wealthy. (Mark 10:21-25) Sell everything and give it to the poor. (Luke 12:33) Don’t work to obtain food. (John 6:27) Don’t have sexual urges. (Matthew 5:28) Make people want to persecute you. (Matthew 5:11) Let everyone know you are better than the rest. (Matthew 5:13-16) Take money from those who have no savings and give it to rich investors. (Luke 19:23-26) If someone steals from you, don’t try to get it back. (Luke 6:30) If someone hits you, invite them to do it again. (Matthew 5:39) If you lose a lawsuit, give more than the judgment. (Matthew 5:40) If someone forces you to walk a mile, walk two miles. (Matthew 5:41) If anyone asks you for anything, give it to them without question. (Matthew 5:42) Is this wise? Is this what you would teach your children? *Was Jesus Reliable?* Jesus told his disciples that they would not die before his second coming: “There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom” (Matthew 16:28). “Behold, I come quickly.” (Revelation 3:11) It’s been 2,000 years, and believers are still waiting for his “quick” return. He mistakenly claimed that the mustard seed is “the least of all seeds” (Matt. 13:32), and that salt could “lose its savour” (Matthew 5:13). Jesus said that whoever calls somebody a “fool” shall be in danger of hell fire (Matthew 5:22), yet he called people “fools” himself (Matthew 23:17). Regarding his own truthfulness, Jesus gave two conflicting opinions: “If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true” (John 5:31), and “Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true” (John 8:14). *Was Jesus A Good Example?* He irrationally cursed a fig tree for being fruitless out of season (Matthew 21:18-19, and Mark 11:13-14). He broke the law by stealing corn on the Sabbath (Mark 2:23), and he encouraged his disciples to take a horse without asking permission (Matthew 21). The “humble” Jesus said that he was “greater than the temple” (Matt 12:6), “greater than Jonah” (Matthew 12:41), and “greater than Solomon” (Matthew 12:42). He appeared to suffer from a dictator’s “paranoia” when he said, “He that is not with me is against me” (Matthew 12:30). Why Jesus? Although other verses can be cited that portray Jesus in a different light, they do not erase the disturbing side of his character. The conflicting passages, however, prove that the New Testament is contradictory. The “Golden Rule” had been said many times by earlier religious leaders. (Confucius: “Do not unto others that you would not have them do unto you.”) “Turn the other cheek” encourages victims to invite further violence. “Love thy neighbor” applied only to fellow believers. (Neither the Jews nor Jesus showed much love to foreign religions). A few of the Beatitudes (“Blessed are the peacemakers”) are acceptable, but they are all conditions of future reward, not based on respect for human life or values. On the whole, Jesus said little that was worthwhile. He introduced nothing new to ethics (except hell). He instituted no social programs. Being “omniscient,” he could have shared some useful science or medicine, but he appeared ignorant of such things (as if his character were merely the invention of writers stuck in the first century).
It's so strange that there even are people who have the job title of "Prophet". Really? That's what you do for a living? "Yes, I see your resume that you were a 'Prophet of God' from July of 2019 to September of of 2023. Can you give me a description of what that entails?" "I hear messages from God, and deliver it to people that they may know his will and act accordingly." "Yes, and how will that help you manage a Wendy's?"
So many "prophets" say so many things and say them over and over. Eventually one of them is bound to get something right. Then the believers take that one success as fulfilled prophecy and evidence for their god while forgetting the 100s or 1000s of failed prophecies, often by the same "prophet". It is so obvious to someone not invested in propping up a false belief system. But trying to get a believer to see the flawed logic is futile at best.
This seems more like prophecy gambling and prophecy guessing to me. To make matters even worse, they not only make a fool of themselves but also make a fool of God, which God clearly stated to his prophets in the Bible that whatever he says and plans will come true definitely.
Donald Trump sounds sane when compared to the utterly bizarre world of Kenneth Copeland. Can't believe there's a lot of people who willingly send money to Copeland.

@@elliot20201 ... I'm dreading it as well. How many of those quacks were saying that Trump was POTUS "behind the scenes - that he never really left office"? Between the "prophets" and Qanon ... And that's the point: THIS time. The Christian god isn't supposed to make mistakes (apart from the tree of knowledge and flood). So if they really had a connection with their god they couldn't make mistakes like this.
Ohhh boy... I clicked on this video with such lighting speed when I saw my girl, Julie Green! There's so much going on there, yet I don't even know where to start because watching Julie Green's prophesies is like tuning into a soap opera where the plot twists are as unpredictable as they are improbable. At this point, she’s got a CVS receipt worth of predictions, yet not one has landed remotely close to reality! The way she talks about Trump, though, is next level- you’d swear she’s reading straight from the universe's most cringey cosmic love letter. I do my best to avoid ad hominem type arguments, but her Sid the Sloth eyebrows really top off her whole insufferable aesthetic.

In 1980, a shrink named F. Scott Peck wrote a book called "People of The Lie". It was about how his work trying to counsel/fix sociopaths only seemed to work when he segued into spirituality. His discipline took on a spiritual tack. And, at one point in the book, he described a perfect example of the Anti-Christ. And it was/is Trump. A perfect description of Trump written 24 years ago.

The only miracles are when my computer manages to do what I expected it to do rather than what I accidentally told it to do. One easy way to see when the prophet is true or false, is to see on whose behalf they speak or are prophesying. Many will often begin with “thus says the Lord” but quickly revert to “I think”, “I’m pretty sure”. The truth quickly comes out that they are speaking for themselves, because every true prophet never spoke from himself. If the vision or dream was given to them by God, they’d always tell it from that perspective.

@ No, I’m right because the evidence supports my claim. When I was in U.S. SOF, we ran security for POTUS on occasion. When briefed you would given instructions on the VIP which included religions affiliation.
It's a badge of honor among believers the stupidity they accept in the name of faith. The crazier the logic, as long as it's in the name of justifying the religion wants to believe, the better.
Folks who go to church are looking for something meaningful. Church leaders smile with outreached hands waiting for the donations. No boring corporate jobs for them.
Leopards never change their spots - Same goes for the Religion Grifters - Sheep live their lives in fear of the Wolf - only to be led to slaughter by their Shepard
This is not how prophesy works. True prophets are always proven correct undeniably. What we have now is liars and wishful thinkers. The Bible teaches that a prophet is proven to have spoken from the Lord when their prophecies come true. There are many true prophecies that have come to pass, but these tele evangelists have nothing to do with Christ. They are FALSE prophets and if they do not repent and acknowledge God did not send them, they will face Christ at the final judgement and be told “Depart from me, I never knew you.” I’m not prophesying. I am only speaking from the scripture.
It's understandable those doubling down are more successful than those who backed down. They are lying to people who want to be lied to. Telling people who want to be lied to the truth makes them feel stupid.
The deception is not even in full strength. Now imagine all who Satan will deceive by using great signs and wonders, when he is easily deceiving them with just prophetic lies! No wonder the word says, "If possible they shall deceive even the elite ones." It will take clear spiritual discerment not to be swept in Satan's deceptions. Scary stuff. For there shall arise false christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect....Mathew 24:24
Lol.. if "god" controls everything, he's also responsible for all the deaths, suffering and insufferable people like people saying that "god" controls everything while trying to control what "god" is already alledgedly controlling. This "god" would most certainly not provide any love, let alone unconditional.
What the heck r u saying! : 1- we are fully free in this life and the catastrophes are a natural result of sequence of events that happen with us, god can certainly prevent them but he ain’t going to do that as these catastrophes themselves could be awaking calls or mild shaking for people to turn back to truth 2-who said that deaths are horrible things always! It could be beneficial if some people stop sinning with it , or if people go to heaven right after it, come on man do some reading of John chrysostom and you will understand more, don’t just pop up some random sentences please
@@HS-ku1jp "these catastrophes themselves could be awaking calls or mild shaking for people to turn back to truth" BS. Pure nonsense. A poor excuse. People who die in a flood are not "awakened", they died because of the flood. How can you be sure there is a greater plan behind that? People who get eaten by wild animals, our bodies do not get burried, no religious ceremony, but digested through the intestines of a wild animal. "who said that deaths are horrible things always!" You're missing the point. Nature is by default trying to kill us. Don't even think about saying it's because of Adam and Eve. If "god" made plans the way he did, he's not very good at it. Even more, "he" stinks at it! "God" basically set a trap and blamed humanity for eternity for it, unless people turn to Jesus.. who allegedly paid for all the sins that can ever exist... His sacrifice was not greater than other people who got tortured or crucified. He was not the only one. "some people stop sinning with it " The word "sin" is imho total BS. A lot is said to be sinful in the Bible and even outside due to certain people's interpretations of the Bible. Abortion f.e. is actually more encouraged by the Bible than banned. Is it sinful to have a tattoo? Or pierced ears? Or a clothing made out of more than two fabrics? WHY is it sinful? What makes "sin", bad? And it has to be a solid reason, which there is not. So I think "sin" is BS. " if people go to heaven right after it" Not this lame excuse again... It makes no sense to create everything that exists, alledgedly for us to rule over... but we can not have a nice place.. we have to abide by dumb rules that only make sense within the religion (sort of), while nature is pretty hostile in itself. Wars only has losers, yet they happen. Why does "god" not intervene and get those at the top to have a little talk or removing them from the world so thousands upon thousands do not need to die or suffer for it? I mean... And then there is this one important detail. There is no guarantee that there is a heaven or a gehenna or a life after this. None have come back to tell us, and "testimonies" do not count as evidence. Anyone can make up or experience things that do not align with reality. Oooh.. but Jesus came back and 500 people saw him.. No. Someone said that 500 people saw him, that is very different. And again... that does not help us now to gather evidence for a life after death. And then... we have to prove something that can not be proven or disproven, which is the existence of a higher power, let alone a specific god. One thing is for sure... if this god would exist and he would be good and fair... then the decisions I make and the faith that once was that has vanished, is something this god will respect and understand. Either way.. I'll be good. I can not follow something that does not make sense to me and that makes sense.
These Christians make God in their own image. They drone on about their First Amendment when they should be looking closely at their First Commandment.

*Why Jesus?*
Jesus has been held in high regard by Christians and non-Christians alike.
*Was Jesus Peaceable And Compassionate?*
The birth of Jesus was heralded with “Peace on Earth,” yet Jesus said, “Think not that I am come to send peace: I came not to send peace but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34) “He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.” (Luke 22:36) “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” (Luke 19:27. In a parable, but spoken of favorably.)
The burning of unbelievers during the Inquisition was based on the words of Jesus: “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” (John 15:6)
Jesus looked at his critics “with anger” (Mark 3:5), and attacked merchants with a whip (John 2:15). He showed his respect for life by drowning innocent animals (Matthew 8:32). He refused to heal a sick child until he was pressured by the mother (Matthew 15:22-28).
The most revealing aspect of his character was his promotion of eternal torment. “The Son of man [Jesus himself] shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:41-42) “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched.” (Mark 9:43)
Is this nice? Is it exemplary to make your point with threats of violence? Is hell a kind, peaceful idea?
*Did Jesus Promote “Family Values”?*
“If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:26)
“I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” (Matthew 10:35-36)
When one of his disciples requested time off for his father’s funeral, Jesus rebuked him: “Let the dead bury their dead.” (Matthew 8:22)
Jesus never used the word “family.” He never married or fathered children. To his own mother, he said, “Woman, what have I to do with thee?” (John 2:4)
*What Were His Views On Equality And Social Justice?*
Jesus encouraged the beating of slaves: “And that servant [slave], which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.” (Luke 12:47) He never denounced servitude, incorporating the master-slave relationship into many of his parables.
He did nothing to alleviate poverty. Rather than sell some expensive ointment to help the poor, Jesus wasted it on himself, saying, “Ye have the poor with you always.” (Mark 14:3-7)
No women were chosen as disciples or invited to the Last Supper.
*What Moral Advice Did Jesus Give?*
“There be eunuchs which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake.
(Matthew 5:32)
Don’t plan for the future. (Matthew 6:34)
Don’t save money. (Matthew 6:19-20)
Don’t become wealthy. (Mark 10:21-25)
Sell everything and give it to the poor. (Luke 12:33)
Don’t work to obtain food. (John 6:27)
Don’t have sexual urges. (Matthew 5:28)
Make people want to persecute you. (Matthew 5:11)
Let everyone know you are better than the rest. (Matthew 5:13-16)
Take money from those who have no savings and give it to rich investors. (Luke 19:23-26)
If someone steals from you, don’t try to get it back. (Luke 6:30)
If someone hits you, invite them to do it again. (Matthew 5:39)
If you lose a lawsuit, give more than the judgment. (Matthew 5:40)
If someone forces you to walk a mile, walk two miles. (Matthew 5:41)
If anyone asks you for anything, give it to them without question. (Matthew 5:42)
Is this wise? Is this what you would teach your children?
*Was Jesus Reliable?*
Jesus told his disciples that they would not die before his second coming: “There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom” (Matthew 16:28).
*Was Jesus A Good Example?*
He irrationally cursed a fig tree for being fruitless out of season (Matthew 21:18-19, and Mark 11:13-14).
Can you give me a description of what that entails?"

So, why do these _so-called_ christians so much want a person in the White House who did _(and does)_ all things God forbids?
Because they are hypocrites who only want someone who will do what they want regardless of their character.
Because, in my opinion, it has nothing to do with God or religion, or even political policy. Trump gives them the permission they so badly want to be the hateful, spiteful people they really are. Worse, these false prophets have the ear of Donald Trump and they routinely visit him at the White House and in the Oval Office. Which means when Christianity becomes the established religion in this country it will be THEIR religion! 😮😦😧😨😰
I never understood why would people pay someone to tell them what they can read in the Bible. Besides, all religions are human made, and it’s beyond any reason why would people in the West consider random dudes to be prophets.

Let's hope they're just as correct as last time.

From a certain point of view, they're heretics. Heretics gonna heresy.

@@HS-ku1jp "these catastrophes themselves could be awaking calls or mild shaking for people to turn back to truth"
BS.
"who said that deaths are horrible things always!"
You're missing the point.
"some people stop sinning with it "
The word "sin" is imho total BS.
" if people go to heaven right after it"
Not this lame excuse again...
They were all certain the last time and they were still wrong last time. Getting it "right" today does not erase or excuse their actions.
