R1 sound is comparatively different due to crossplane crankshaft mechanism where most of the inline 4 engine comes with flatplane crankshaft mechanism, crossplane and v4 engine sounds similar
2 cylinder Benelli 300,302s,302r far better in 300 cc segment with 2 cylinders which produces sports bike sound feels like nothing can compare to it. The sound of these bikes is awesome

I own a GSR 750, which is a 4 cylinder. I love the sound, it sounds like a flatplane V8. I'm definitely looking for a new bike, the GSX-8R, which is a 270° inline 2. I love the crossplane V8-ish sound it makes.
The k1600 uses an I-6 putting down 160hp at 5.5k. I have a touring model and it’s no joke. Honda 6 are nice but are much more expensive. Hence I can find a 16’ k1600 for the price of a 06’ gl1800

I think it’s not a good comparison, especially regarding the single and the 2 cylinder categories. Those small engines shown here sound like nothing because of their sizes. For the 1 cylinder you could show a 400cc bike at least and a 600cc+ engine would have been inevitable! The 2 cylinder category also misses a serious choice.. a screaming 500cc in-line twin engine would have been nice, followed by a similar engine with 750cc+ You also could have shown a 1000cc+ boxer and V-twin engine in addition to that.. This missed is a big missed opportunity and what bothers me the most about it is those people in the comment section, declaring 4 cylinders as the best sounding bikes. There is nothing wrong about having this specific opinion IF it’s not based on this video and only if you’ve ever heard all the different engines with their optimal sizes! ALL ENGINES, 1-4 cylinders can sound beautiful with specific configurations and I don’t mean exhaust systems, they are nonsense
Also didnt even differentiate between inline 4 (z1000) and crossplane i4 (yzfr1) so newbies will hear the r1 and think all i4's will have the same growl

Next time please specify the configuration. I believe the inline two was a 180 deg. , the 3 cylinder was a 120 deg. And the first inline 4 was a flat plane configuration while the last inline 4 was a cross plane configuration. All of that is based on the sound I do not know the engine model.

R3 should have been captured with a Yoshimura than an Akra. Could have used a Conti in Dual cylinders instead of CF Moto. Or a Ninja 300 atleast !

I know no modern 6 cylinders exist beyond the goldwing, but the honda CBX sounds amazing! Even if its comparatively slow to a modern 1000 or even 600.
