Trust me, I've crawled whole youtube, searching for a good playlist to learn react native animations from scratch. But everybody just starts directly without giving a reason to learn it. I'm thankful that I finally found the one where I can learn it with fun. Thankyou for the amazing videos
Thank you so much, it means a lot. I really tried to make this as simple and enjoyable as possible to watch. I’m very glad you found my channel, hope you’ll like the next videos!
This is great, I love how you cropped the code to just fit in a square in the middle of the screen, how easy your example was, and how thorough your explanation was. I definitely learned something because I was previously using a useEffect with setTimeout to previously make an animation, and did not understand why the animation was not smooth. Now I know it was running on the JS thread. Thank you. Keep it up!
please keep it up bro don't get demotivated about your content growth this will finally grow because it is a new style of content in programming era on youtube. and I hope it will grow.
man this is amazing explanation ever , youtube need an algorithm to categorize best teachers and other teachers, because iv been looking for a good explanation on animation for a while now
You just earned a new subscriber! I love how you approached teaching the concept of animation in React Native in this video. From how it's done in Vanilla JS, why that approach is bad and how it's properly done. Thank you! More RN videos please.
Thank you so much Brayden! I’m sure you’ll like what’s coming on the channel. It has everything React, including React Native. Hope to see you around :)

Yo really cool resource for react animation training. A+ content. great explanations, short punchy videos that cover each topic with great detail explaining the why, and he how. This is how I am now spending my time on UA-cam. Big up Evening Kid.
Thank you so much Derrick, it truly means a lot to me! Many people don’t take the time to say it when they like something I feel. Very happy this found you well :)

This is an excellent tutorial. It needs an update though due to changes in the Animated.event code base. Though it works, it gives this warning: "Animated.event now requires a second argument for options".
Hey evening kid, love what you did. However, in the video, you said that Animated in React Native is running on the UI Thread. And Reanimated 2 said that their advantage over Animated is they run in UI thread. So I was a little bit confused, what's the difference about them then?
