Im from Argentina Im happy we have an Argentinian character in broadway But I ddI find the song not Argentinian feeling at all. Like she said it felt Puerto Rican. Not Argentinian
Their hair looks the same color and almost style just Argentina's is longer I think? Idk I've never seen it live but from photos and watching her quick-change I noticed it too.
I would be panicking if I had 3 minutes to do all this. I thought me changing from a hoodie and leggings to a leotard and skirt was hard to do in 3 minutes 😬😬
Leslie Kritzer has some information about the makeup on her instagram account! If you find her posts where she's dressed as Miss Argentina, and poke around the tagged people's accounts, you can find out more about it
Not even kidding, this video played and then an ad for Dramamine came up, like, "I work out! I dance green! Jesus, pass the Dramamine"😂 love you, Leslie!💜
Heh, they changed Delia's character from wife/step mother to secret girlfriend/life coach. I wonder why. But then again, they changed the whole story, the whole stage play is different from the movie and only borrows some of the more iconic stuff from it.
I think they wanted to keep up with the times more? Like when Adam and Barbara say "Let's hide their phones!". Delia was a fan and creator of strange art pieces so I'm guessing that the creators of the musical wanted to take that "Free spirited artist" vibe that is popular now a days and roll with it even more and work it into her personality? As for the girlfriend vs wife thing I think that showing them get engaged was to make us see what Lydia had probably gone through in the original before they moved into the new home. Hope this made sense, this was just what I got from it!
I think having delia be charles' new fiancé was a good choice to add considering the path they were taking by focussing on lydia's grief over losing her mom. Getting a 'new mom' so fast lays empathises on how charles is just moving forward while ignoring Lydia's feelings entirely and it makes Lydia feel even more alone.
It keeps the movies tone and style basically what made Beetlejuice beetlejuice but told a different story with the characters and putting them into different situations but still staying true to the characters. This goes for almost everyone then there's ohto who's basically a new character with all the changes.
Ok but how long does it take to get it all off? Cause she's not green when we see Delia again, but I imagine wiping it off completely takes off the rest of her stage makeup too. How much time does she have to completely put on all her foundation again?
They actually did a video on this! Delia and Miss Argentina actually have the same eye makeup, so it's just reapplying contour and blush when she switches back!
The United States always disrespecting Latin American culture. How does tango relate to salsa? The culture of Central America has nothing to do with the South American culture, both are beautiful but it is not all the same, neither the topics it addresses nor the compositions and others. Hollywood and Broadway marking absurd stereotypes; at least they no longer represent Latin Americans in their entirety as dancers with fruit on their heads. Pathetic his ignorance in everything that happens outside the limits of his country. Greetings.

Im from Argentina
Im happy we have an Argentinian character in broadway
But I ddI find the song not Argentinian feeling at all. Like she said it felt Puerto Rican.
Not Argentinian
I feel like Evita is a better representation of Argentina lol
Es verdad!!! Deberia nose usar che en algunas partes y tomar mate ajaja
Animation Geek it’s because the actress is Puerto Rican :)
Leslie Kritzer is Puerto Rican so I guess thats why
Evita?
This gives me hope there’s a whole professionally recorded thing of the show floating around
There you are perry
It's just b-roll they film for promotional use, not the entire show.
We just gonna ignore the shelf alcohol in the background lol!!!
Hey gotta get that stress relief when they do so many shows at times
Gotta get that quick shot of liquid courage
when i saw the show over the summer i swear she still had the delia wig on with her miss argentina look
Their hair looks the same color and almost style just Argentina's is longer I think? Idk I've never seen it live but from photos and watching her quick-change I noticed it too.
@@savannahgoniteli2685 its a different style so I think having a different wig is easier than messing up the delia wig

Green?? I’m pretty sure the color she’s wearing looks blue in the musical
i reckon the lights make her green
I'm surprised that this musical doesn't get extreme hate from other Broadway shows for being so good that it makes the others inferior
Nah. Broadway shows like to poke at each other but it’s all in good fun.
Not even kidding, this video played and then an ad for Dramamine came up, like, "I work out! I dance green! Jesus, pass the Dramamine"😂 love you, Leslie!💜
“It’s showtime!” I really named after the movie, back in late 80s.
Me loves Lin Manuel Miranda and Leslie kritzer
Les: My mother is puerto-rican
Me: we,p that explains it
I can't be the only one who was singing along right? Right???

Legend_of_Zelia they probably changed it because it provided more comedy

That's fun to watch.
Omg, Serena from legally blonde is in this?! Yay!!
Ahhh! I'd love to know what makeup she uses for the base!

@@Felarchy Ooohhh ok!
So fun
Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Oop nevermind I thought I was the movie, I'm so dumb and legit got mad when they calling to the show.
Why doesn’t she play miss Argentina any more (before they closed)? She’s still Delia but not miss Argentina
