I am a fan for 4 years and i am 73 years old because I believed the lies. I watche aRlvis singing "How Great Thou Art" which I always wsnted to buy his religious record but just never did and I thank the comments about how giving this man was and i started checking him out. I was blown away that Elvis was this beautiful person. I then started telling my daughter and sh said, mom I have been listening to Elvis for years. 😂 We went to Graceland 2 years ago and I am a Elvis fan for the rest of my life. Nothing I hear negative about Elvis I will not listen too. Bless you for standing up for this man that only did good for people. He was not a saint as we all have sinned and fall short. And one evening while we were driving the 8 hour trek to my Dad's family's house (one whole state away) my Mom groaned as soon as that song came on (it was on a Christmas cassette tape; that's how long ago this was- haha) and said, "John, do I HAVE to listen to this? I can't stand the way she sings this song." My Dad being my Dad didn't say anything. Instead he turned the volume ALL the way up. Then when the song was done he rewound it. Now the rule when it came to music in the car was: Whoever is driving has control of the Cassette/ CD player, the radio, and the volume decibels at which it is played. My Dad- no brainer here- always insisted on being the driver. So if he wanted to listen to a Giants game on the radio he damn well was going to listen to a Giants game on the radio in his car. Then he went on this tangent explaining all of the reasons why he thought Tiger Woods was an overrated golf player . None of the reasons he listed had to do with golf itself. He could memorize anything having to do with numbers easily. When it came to facts and stats my Dad was hard to win a debate with. I know. I used to debate with him. Over lots of stuff. My Dad taught me something valuable: A cooler head armed with facts will always prevail. Once you just start sputtering because you feel a way you will lose the debate. Or argument. My Dad was more right than he was wrong. He actually called a lot of stuff that is happening now 20 years ago. No, he was not psychic. I wish people would read the book Destined to Die Young by Sally Hoedel. It s an in-depth look at his family's history and family illnesses, of which he inherited many. It is greatly researched and not sensationalism. He gained some weight but he is so puffy due to steriod medication at the end. He needed prescription meds just to get by daily.

I wish people would read the book Destined to Die Young by Sally Hoedel. It s an in-depth look at his family's history and family illnesses, of which he inherited many. It is greatly researched and not sensationalism. He gained some weight but he is so puffy due to steriod medication at the end. He needed prescription meds just to get by daily.
