It is tough to control on the same time. No one anticipated that 15L people will be coming. So stop blaming the government. Show was really good and we enjoyed with our family. Its govt responsibility to take care of such simple things and they had got only one work to do and so much of time too. The way ladies and old people were falling due to dehydration in front of my eyes was pathetic. 2 kms radius la drinking water facility illana just imagine their care on us
21 years back it took place in Chennai marina only. Those days no media. So very less people. Also timing was good. Between 3 to 5.30 in the evening. Not so hot also. But today it was not only Air Show. It was Traffic Show. Terrible. Inside the car in A/C we became tired. Just for 5 mins distance we took 1 hour. Saw the show in the you tube in the car only. All of us were stuck. 😢😮 People returning were gate crashing into hospitals. So sick they were.. Babies in their hands were fainting. Old people were struggling to walk and breathe too. So sad. Very badly organised by govt and police. Traffic was absolutely out of gear. But sad police were suffering too in hot sun. Thank God. We had some juice with us. We gave it to them to refresh.

The air show had already conducted on 2003 in Chennai Marina Beach by IAF when Jayalalitha was CM.This is the 2nd time Marina Beach Witness the same. Kindly check brother ❤

My son studying 7th, but telling he become a fighter jet pilot. From 5 standard. And also I guide him for that. And also we visited the arishow with full production. We carried water, umbrella, Cap flag. We came back later from the marina. After the crowd cleared. We are safe. So we have to plan with safety precautions while visiting like this program.

We went to Airshow but we parked bike 2.5km back to Beach...by walk we went 2hrs it's taken beach in road many vehicles parked no way to walk... Need proper planning in crowd control... Finally we retched Merina Beach 12:45pm we enjoyed 15mins show finished...But we not Happy we missed 1:45mins shows... Because of traffic...Still many people came & went back to home because of huge traffic.
We too went there....Really enjoyed the show very much. But while returning back we suffered a lot 😢. Heavy crowd, suffocation, no proper plan for the pedestrians to follow up a path after the air show.. But we people ourselves maintained some discipline and helped each other to overcome the crowd bcoz we were aware of a lot of past experiences like this via newspapers, magazines and social media. In future we should plan accordingly if some 15 lakh crowd or some greater number of audiences are there for an event we should avoid going in person and with old aged people, children and infants. Saw many infants in the crowd. Better to watch in live rely of these shows in television if these type of horrible things are happening.

MTC பல மினி பேருந்துகளை இயக்கினாலும் பலருக்கு இது தெரியாது. MTC கடற்கரை சாலைக்கு வழக்கமான பேருந்து சேவைகளை நிறுத்தியதால், ரயிலில் வருபவர்கள் கோட்டை நிலையம் மற்றும் பூங்கா நிலையங்களில் இருந்து குடும்பத்துடன் நடக்கத் தொடங்கினர். பார்ப்பதற்கு பாவமாய் இருந்தது.இதற்கெல்லாம் மேலாக, உச்ச மதியம் விமானக் கண்காட்சி நடத்தப்பட்டது பெரிய தவறு.ஏர் ஷோ 1.30 மணிக்கு முடிவடைந்தது, ஆனால் ஆட்டோக்கள் மற்றும் MTC பேருந்துகள் மாலை 4 மணிக்கு மட்டுமே மீண்டும் தொடங்கப்பட்டன. விவிப் மற்றும் விவிப்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட முக்கியத்துவம் சாதாரண மக்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படவில்லை.
I was just escaped , generally I am not interested in these kind of shows. But my kid is special kid and he needs to socialize and to get practice with crowd and similar social events . For that reason, I had plan and last min due to urgent visit to other place , I cancelled it . But it took around 3 hours for me to reach from OMR to Vanagaram. Complete Velachery was fully jammed . Then hearing news, that ppl got affected by vomitting and fainting, I feel god saved us. My point of view about the incidents: If govt had pre planned and opened online ticket booking, govt should have estimate of ppl visiting the show and may have planned better . Recently Hathras some devotional meet also , same thing happened , but that was stamping due to over crowd . Not sure about the reason for fainting and vomitting , may be the sound of air crafts or keeping head up for long time or over heat . And also I had been in Bangalore for 10 years, there it was well organised .
There is no proper exit guidance which made people suffocate a lot. People watched 2hour show under the sun and they walked 3 hours to reach transportation facility zone under the sun again. While watching the show people were happy on visiting in person but while existing they regret and decided not to come again.
True... People who are exiting cannot go through walllajah road. I think people who came during the end wanted to take quick glimpse and blocked the way of exiting people. This idiot police didn't have the brain to block them 1km away.

We went today with family members while entering the beach police guided as all the directions properly. People sit for 3 hours continuously under massive sun heat. Here disaster started by 1 PM when show ended all the people almost 10 + lakhs routed in same direction this created chaos and many small children and elderly people who are already in dehydrate stage started to faint rapidly. Government didn’t arranged any basic needs like water , food , proper public transport while leaving . Every arrangement has been failed except the performance of Pilots. Government should take pre cautions before conducting massive events like this .
We felt really worst of organization by government... Its really hurts many people and i am one among them. It seems only VVIP are humans for them. Really shamefull of Government

We carried enough water and snacks so we waited for more time in Lady wellington school to relax and we started walking again. No proper arrangements for public. If they would have start the show by 4 pm some crowd will spend time at beach and traffic might be manageable

Super performance by airforce but worst management Chennai is blessed with such a vast gathering land like marina beach. Really don’t understand why so many barricades to exit making it such a narrow path. Only Chennai govt can handle in such a worst way. No drinking water or tent also.
No proper transportation facilities. Even auto also cannot took the ride today and also they charge huge amount for the ride. So much of people affected today. In the metro women coach was treat as general coach, it is so uncomfortable and also infront of me a man fainted and fell down in the steps. Government should be take the transport responsibility seriously. Because, as you said, they knew beforehand that they would have such a crowd.

I had been to Airshow in Canada this summer, I felt very excited and happy witnessing the power of a pilot. Always thought why this is not happening in India, felt very proud and happy to hear the show happened in namma Chennai. About the crowd and organizing, I don’t think it’s easy to organize such a big crowd of 1.5 million + It’s very easy to blame our government for everything. I guess people should be better prepared for these kind of events. People will learn to better organize themselves if the event happens next time. Cheers 🧑✈️👩✈️🛩️

My son studying 7th, but telling he become a fighter jet pilot. From 5 standard. And also I guide him for that. And also we visited the arishow with full production. We carried water, umbrella, Cap flag. We came back later from the marina. After the crowd cleared. We are safe. So we have to plan with safety precautions while visiting like this program.

We went to Airshow but we parked bike 2.5km back to Beach...by walk we went 2hrs it's taken beach in road many vehicles parked no way to walk... Need proper planning in crowd control... Finally we retched Merina Beach 12:45pm we enjoyed 15mins show finished...But we not Happy we missed 1:45mins shows... Because of traffic...Still many people came & went back to home because of huge traffic.

We too went there....Really enjoyed the show very much. But while returning back we suffered a lot 😢. Heavy crowd, suffocation, no proper plan for the pedestrians to follow up a path after the air show.. But we people ourselves maintained some discipline and helped each other to overcome the crowd bcoz we were aware of a lot of past experiences like this via newspapers, magazines and social media. In future we should plan accordingly if some 15 lakh crowd or some greater number of audiences are there for an event we should avoid going in person and with old aged people, children and infants. Saw many infants in the crowd. Better to watch in live rely of these shows in television if these type of horrible things are happening.

MTC பல மினி பேருந்துகளை இயக்கினாலும் பலருக்கு இது தெரியாது. MTC கடற்கரை சாலைக்கு வழக்கமான பேருந்து சேவைகளை நிறுத்தியதால், ரயிலில் வருபவர்கள் கோட்டை நிலையம் மற்றும் பூங்கா நிலையங்களில் இருந்து குடும்பத்துடன் நடக்கத் தொடங்கினர். பார்ப்பதற்கு பாவமாய் இருந்தது.இதற்கெல்லாம் மேலாக, உச்ச மதியம் விமானக் கண்காட்சி நடத்தப்பட்டது பெரிய தவறு.ஏர் ஷோ 1.30 மணிக்கு முடிவடைந்தது, ஆனால் ஆட்டோக்கள் மற்றும் MTC பேருந்துகள் மாலை 4 மணிக்கு மட்டுமே மீண்டும் தொடங்கப்பட்டன. விவிப் மற்றும் விவிப்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட முக்கியத்துவம் சாதாரண மக்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படவில்லை.
I was just escaped , generally I am not interested in these kind of shows. But my kid is special kid and he needs to socialize and to get practice with crowd and similar social events . For that reason, I had plan and last min due to urgent visit to other place , I cancelled it . But it took around 3 hours for me to reach from OMR to Vanagaram. Complete Velachery was fully jammed . Then hearing news, that ppl got affected by vomitting and fainting, I feel god saved us.
My point of view about the incidents:
If govt had pre planned and opened online ticket booking, govt should have estimate of ppl visiting the show and may have planned better . Recently Hathras some devotional meet also , same thing happened , but that was stamping due to over crowd .
Not sure about the reason for fainting and vomitting , may be the sound of air crafts or keeping head up for long time or over heat .
And also I had been in Bangalore for 10 years, there it was well organised .

Guys it's not the first time in south india I have been to airshows in Bangalore many times and once a pilot gave me his cap i still have that cap.
There is no proper exit guidance which made people suffocate a lot. People watched 2hour show under the sun and they walked 3 hours to reach transportation facility zone under the sun again. While watching the show people were happy on visiting in person but while existing they regret and decided not to come again.
True... People who are exiting cannot go through walllajah road.
I think people who came during the end wanted to take quick glimpse and blocked the way of exiting people. This idiot police didn't have the brain to block them 1km away.

We went today with family members while entering the beach police guided as all the directions properly. People sit for 3 hours continuously under massive sun heat. Here disaster started by 1 PM when show ended all the people almost 10 + lakhs routed in same direction this created chaos and many small children and elderly people who are already in dehydrate stage started to faint rapidly. Government didn’t arranged any basic needs like water , food , proper public transport while leaving . Every arrangement has been failed except the performance of Pilots. Government should take pre cautions before conducting massive events like this .

I went along with my two kids bro... There is no proper traffic arrangements. It was too crowded. We carried enough water and snacks so we waited for more time in Lady wellington school to relax and we started walking again. No proper arrangements for public. If they would have start the show by 4 pm some crowd will spend time at beach and traffic might be manageable

No proper transportation facilities. Even auto also cannot took the ride today and also they charge huge amount for the ride. So much of people affected today. In the metro women coach was treat as general coach, it is so uncomfortable and also infront of me a man fainted and fell down in the steps. Government should be take the transport responsibility seriously. Because, as you said, they knew beforehand that they would have such a crowd.

I had been to Airshow in Canada this summer, I felt very excited and happy witnessing the power of a pilot. Always thought why this is not happening in India, felt very proud and happy to hear the show happened in namma Chennai.
About the crowd and organizing, I don’t think it’s easy to organize such a big crowd of 1.5 million +
It’s very easy to blame our government for everything. I guess people should be better prepared for these kind of events. People will learn to better organize themselves if the event happens next time. Cheers 🧑✈️👩✈️🛩️
