Lovely! This is where I learned to sail with the Sea Scouts. One day I will return with my own boat.

Hi, you were a lucky person to learn to sail in such a fantastic area. Thanks for watching, much appreciated. :)

Nice gentle start to cruising in Falmouth. My GP14 is identical to yours except for the red deck and I use an outboard and not oars when no wind! I am confined to the coast off the Tyne at South Shields, so enjoy your adventures keep them coming.

Thanks Rory 😊 I do sometimes think I should have an outboard but I’m holding off as long as I can 😉 Thanks for watching, much appreciated 😊👍⛵️

@@sailingskismo is there a place on transom to put a outboard.

@@jakedonnely4094 not without fitting an outboard bracket first. I have seen GP14s with outboard brackets and outboards fitted.

@@jakedonnely4094 I reinforced transom with plywood & epoxy on port side in side at top. Then made board to bolt on outside through transom on port side of rudder a few inches proud of transom. So motor attached to board on that side and rudder clears the motor. Seems to work well and steer with rudder as you need that for sailing when motor lifts out of way. Had to move main sheet from back forward to clear motor when it is tilted forward.
