Never say never on anyone turning back to Allah, for the doors of repentance are open. It is Allah who guides, not us.

There shouldnt be any debate on this matter because a simple historical fact will destroy the arguments of those saying Islam teaches muslims to force the religion on others. And that historical fact is this: When Muhammad SAW and the muhajiroon made hijra (migration) to medina and lived there until his death, not once were the Jews, who lived there, complained about them being forced to become muslim. For the most part they lived in harmony and they were able to practice their faith just as much as the muslims were able to practice theirs. Some of them even fought alongside the muslims in battles.
The non muslims who are reading this should know that we regard the Prophet to be the 'walking Qur'an', that his sunnah coincides with the Qur'an, not in stature, but in meaning. Whatever the Prophet SAW did, is what was preached from Allah in his revelations. Therefore it was impossible for the Qur'an to say one thing and the prophet to go directly against it.

It’s not quite hard to understand. Any statement’s objective is not the meaning of the individual words, or the words combined. These are merely “tools” to attempt to describe what really matters. Therefore, “no compulsion in religion” aims to describe something that is beneficial for someone. Obviously, “if you are unwilling to be Muslim, become a Muslim” is a strong recommendation for the benefit of the individual. If it was meant forcefully, the force aspect needs to be substantiated by practice and evidence. However, having CLEAR verses of the contrary nature make it obvious for anyone who is sincere to understand the nature of the quote. Except if you are.. ignorant for the Truth. The end.

لَآ إِكۡرَاهَ فِى ٱلدِّينِۖ
There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. .
No Compulsion in Religion
Allah says,
لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ
There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the right path has become distinct from the wrong path.
لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ
(There is no compulsion in religion),
meaning, "Do not force anyone to become Muslim, for Islam is plain and clear, and its proofs and evidence are plain and clear. Therefore, there is no need to force anyone to embrace Islam. Rather, whoever Allah directs to Islam, opens his heart for it and enlightens his mind, will embrace Islam with certainty.
Whoever Allah blinds his heart and seals his hearing and sight, then he will not benefit from being forced to embrace Islam."
It was reported that;
the Ansar were the reason behind revealing this Ayah, although its indication is general in meaning.
Ibn Jarir recorded that Ibn Abbas said (that before Islam),
"When (an Ansar) woman would not bear children who would live, she would vow that if she gives birth to a child who remains alive, she would raise him as a Jew.
When Banu An-Nadir (the Jewish tribe) were evacuated (from Al-Madinah), some of the children of the Ansar were being raised among them, and the Ansar said, We will not abandon our children.'
Allah revealed,
لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ
(There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the right path has become distinct from the wrong path)." Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i also recorded this Hadith.
As for the Hadith that Imam Ahmad recorded, in which Anas said that the Messenger of Allah said to a man,
أَسْلِم
"Embrace Islam."
The man said, "I dislike it." The Prophet said,
وَإِنْ كُنْتَ كَارِهًا
"Even if you dislike it."
First, this is an authentic Hadith, with only three narrators between Imam Ahmad and the Prophet.
However, it is not relevant to the subject under discussion, for the Prophet did not force that man to become Muslim.
The Prophet merely invited this man to become Muslim, and he replied that he does not find himself eager to become Muslim. The Prophet said to the man that even though he dislikes embracing Islam, he should still embrace it, for Allah will grant you sincerity and true intent.'
