After installing timelapse via ssh it tells you where the output and frame_path paths are. For me using Klipper had to modify the moonraker.conf file like this: output_path: ~/klipper_config/timelapse/ and frame_path: /tmp/timelapse/klipper_config Now it seems to work :D
Awesome video. Thanks for that! But I got error "/bin/sh: bash: not found make: *** [Makefile:20: install] Error 127" when I try to execute the command "make install" inside the folder " cd ~/moonraker-timelapse". If you have any clue what I'm doing wrong, please let me know.
Hey!, thank you for the video!. I see that your speed is 300 and acceleration is 3000, do you mind sharing your slicer settings specially first layer speeds? I am struggling to get my first layer to stick at high speed. mines currently set to 120 velocity and 1500 acell... I hope your help can help me speed up my prints. also could you let me know what upgrades you made? I am currently using the stock Ender 3 v1
Sorry, I don.t know enough about Eledoo's implementation of Klipper to be much help. could be wroth making a post on the GitHub below, the devs over there are very helpful.
Hi. Thanks a lot but after install, if I activate "firmware retraction", I get the following error message :" Error evaluating 'gcode_macro _SET_TIMELAPSE_SETUP:gcode': CommandError: [firmware_retraction] not defined in printer.cfg. Can not enable fw_retract" . My print is a 3deer with a specific Klipper. After following your instructions, no file "timelapse.cfg" created. I tried to create it but impossible. Thanks
Add [firmware_retraction] to you printer.cfg. here is the example, just uncomment retract_length, retract_speed, unretract_extra_length, and unretract_speed and set to what you have in your slicer. [firmware_retraction] #retract_length: 0 # The length of filament (in mm) to retract when G10 is activated, # and to unretract when G11 is activated (but see # unretract_extra_length below). The default is 0 mm. #retract_speed: 20 # The speed of retraction, in mm/s. The default is 20 mm/s. #unretract_extra_length: 0 # The length (in mm) of *additional* filament to add when # unretracting. #unretract_speed: 10 # The speed of unretraction, in mm/s. The default is 10 mm/s.
Hi! Thanks for the video! I´m having some trouble. I dont see any .mp4 file after print is finished. Theres no files and I can only save frames. It creates a .zip file and the images in there are unviewable. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?
have you tried opening these in a video editor? I'm just starting but could be a img seq. once imported into the video editor (like DaVinci, will combine to make a video, just a guess.
Just slap the following in your printer.cfg for pi temp and MCU temp [temperature_sensor raspberry_pi] sensor_type: temperature_host min_temp: 10 max_temp: 100 [temperature_sensor mcu_temp] sensor_type: temperature_mcu min_temp: 0 max_temp: 100 👍
Hi, you need to do something called SSH. if you're on windows there is a program called Putty you can install and then you just put in the IP address of your pi that kipper is installed on and it will prompt you for your user name and password used to set up Klipper, then it will open a screen "terminal" that will be remotely connected to the Pi. If you are using a 3D printer that came with Klipper installed then you will need to find the default username and password. If you run into any problems, just post back and will try and help.
I feel like i'm bashing my head against a wall trying to install a Logitech C270 on to klipper on my 3d printer. Every video I watch just tells you what to do if you have a raspberry pi. I don't have raspberry pi i have a 3d printer that has klipper firmware that i access via fluidd - surely i'm missing something!
Nice one of the best install and setup video for timelapse so far. Well done! (moonraker-timelapse maintainer here)
Thank you, sincerely appreciate the nice comment and all the work you and the team have put in to make this so simple to get up and running!

Thanks for the guide! did this intall two years ago so this brought me up to speed real fast!
Great video! This was the only tutorial that allowed me to actually get it working. Just trying to tune in retraction settings for when the head parks
Thank you. Really glad to hear it worked!

Nice video. If you're a bit familiar with klipper this is an easy and clear guide 👍
Thank you, hope this helped!
easy to flow the steps needed. thx
After installing timelapse via ssh it tells you where the output and frame_path paths are. For me using Klipper had to modify the moonraker.conf file like this:

easier than in octoprint. Can i use a dslr like a webcam on the pi/klipper?
My camera does not appear on the select menu inside ''timelapse''
any idea?
I’m using Sonic pad Klipper, how can I install the moonraker ?
is this tutorial works for ender 3 v3 ke with nebula camera only?
I follow the instructions very closely. My timelapse does only that very last picture and only one frame. Please any advice on this?
My Moonraker broke after doing this first set of steps.
cannot install on my elegoo neptune 4 max using klipper. it gives error100 :(

Add [firmware_retraction] to you printer.cfg. here is the example, just uncomment retract_length, retract_speed, unretract_extra_length, and unretract_speed and set to what you have in your slicer.
[firmware_retraction]
#retract_length: 0
# The length of filament (in mm) to retract when G10 is activated,
# and to unretract when G11 is activated (but see
# unretract_extra_length below). The default is 0 mm.
#retract_speed: 20
# The speed of retraction, in mm/s. The default is 20 mm/s.
#unretract_extra_length: 0
# The length (in mm) of *additional* filament to add when
# unretracting.
#unretract_speed: 10
# The speed of unretraction, in mm/s. The default is 10 mm/s.

@@ShaunBennett I got it working. I had something wrong in the cfg file. Dont even remember it anymore what was wrong 😁
How did you get your Pi's temp on the dashboard under extruder and heat bed?
Just slap the following in your printer.cfg for pi temp and MCU temp
[temperature_sensor raspberry_pi]
sensor_type: temperature_host
min_temp: 10
max_temp: 100
[temperature_sensor mcu_temp]
sensor_type: temperature_mcu
min_temp: 0
max_temp: 100
👍
@@PigeonPrint Thank you so much!!! Worked perfectly, and prompt response. You have most definitely earned a sub. It's the least I can do.

Hola, en su archivo printer.cfg agregue la línea:
[temperature_sensor raspberry_pi]
sensor_type: temperature_host
min_temp: 10
max_temp: 100
