I'm a bit confused, you state in the video that "the paint makes all the imperfections in the cardboard disappear", but every single imperfection is very clearly visible. Also, it's very hard to tell, since this video does not really provide any detailed information about the paint or the "lens", that is stated to be part of the kit. From the very brief view of the lens, it appears to be just sitting on the floor in front of the projector. This does not seem like a great way to get a good image. Is it possible to provide a clearer explanation of how the lens is mounted to the projector, and some actual specifications? While I am somewhat intrigued by this product, I can't say that this video makes the best impression of it.
That's great, except how do you configure your PC to tell it that the 16:9 or 16:10 (or even 4:3!) projector resolution it thinks it's connected to is now in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio? You're either going to be wasting a large proportion of your projector's native resolution (thus sacrificing picture quality to a drastic degree), or any content not in the correct aspect ratio is going to be badly stretched - including your UI. This might be acceptable if used exclusively with a single signal source like a dedicated PC (and it would still need a lot of non-standard tweaking to get right), but my home theatre is used for movies, gaming on PC and two consoles, and even just watching UA-cam - your lens system just won't cut it in an environment like that.
you know if you use the same foam they use to mold rc planes you can get a way way smoother surface+ you get rid of all those creaks and cracks ( sorry for bad English it's my second language)
So you need the lens to get the curve? Sorry if my question sounds dumb 🤔 I have one of LG's minibeam led projectors on order. Can I do this with that projector?
I need to be able to roll my screen away after use. How can I implement the paint into that? I don't need to be able to have the curved display. But rolling is necessary
So im confused... using a dark background, painted a specific tone, with a super high gain and custom color settings with your projector so it "looks right" when it hits the wall? Pretty cool idea.
I live in the Netherlands, can I buy this paint too? And can I paint it on a big wooden piece that will hang on my wall? So I can use the wood as a screen.
Clearly this dude just wanted to make a video of "something" and this is the results. Just like 0TranAtlantic0, this is nothing more than a projection on some painted cardboard. Next time Dude, stack and glue three Frigidaire boxes together, paint them black and wrap a king size white sheet around them. "outside of the box thinking" is not your thing dude.
I'd be ok with it on the wall like the old days. To be fair it looks shit I carnt remember the last time if I ever have seen 720 or wat ever it was. 4 k TVs piss this so there's no incentive for me it be a down grade.

The card board "imperfections" are now easier to see.
Thanks for sharing. Never would have thought of making a curved projection screen. Look pretty damn good.
Honestly i had the same idea so i searched it on you tube and sure enough someone did it.
Well, somebody is gonna have an amazing man-cave and spend the rest of the budget on nice furniture.

Would that paint work on a roller blind, bearing in mind that it wold need to flex as it's rolled up?
Show this video again but turn all the lights out so we can see it good

so much better if you bend the screen sections as well like I did. no flat surfices at all.
I love your car board. :)
So it's a regular projector used to project the image on the curved display, right?
Where can I pickup that lense? Great idea to use cardboard btw! Love the vids keep it up.
Kinda dope, I'd probably use some kinda thin ply wood
So you need the lens to get the curve? Sorry if my question sounds dumb 🤔 I have one of LG's minibeam led projectors on order. Can I do this with that projector?

Pretty cool
How much that cardboard i want buy it.
more importantly, where do I get the lens...
Plastic sheet (1 - 1,5mm) is better choice. Smooth surface, flexible and no sharp curves.
I dont know much about projectors but isn't this tech adding a lot of input lag?
Weird... We moved away from Projection Screen TV's and now we getting back into Projection Screens...
you should zoom in so who ever is watching the vid can have a better look at the lens look like and Where can I buy the lens separate at ? ?
Dose not make a different we get them wholesale for next to nothing
FUSION SILVER CRYSTAL VISION SCREENS well where can I get the lens.thanks
Hello what is your lens brand I need to buy one thank you very much .
I need to be able to roll my screen away after use. How can I implement the paint into that? I don't need to be able to have the curved display. But rolling is necessary

sure cardboard is cheap, but i would have opted for a large sheet of card paper and then built a curved frame for it.

The screen paint is available now but till the end of the month it will be discontinued due to a NDA which was signed for the chemicals formula design
Hot idea for flight simulation
They do that already with dome screen projectors
I learned something new today thank u this is awesome
You have a good one and thank you
Is this screen paint available in the Philippines?
I want to buy
Just use a plain white wall painted with latex paint.
I live in the Netherlands, can I buy this paint too? And can I paint it on a big wooden piece that will hang on my wall? So I can use the wood as a screen.
Yes you can buy the screen paint and it come with free shipping
koop een tv..
Just a plain white wall painted with latex paint works as good as any. A plain white painted wall is actually brighter than a lot commercial screens.
Thinking of gaming on that,
how do you buy this paint its not on the website you posted

2000 lumen isn't very bright at all, I have a 4000 and even though it's bright, it isn't bright enough for gaming
