Love your channel and just started hauling with a single car hauler . How are you finding your loads ? Did you get a mc# or dot to go on the load boards ? Any help from the community would be great.
I’ve had 1 broker tell me no. I’ve basically picked the loads I want to haul. There’s plenty to choose from. Personally I won’t touch a load for less than $1 a mile I’ve found staying local in my area The rates are much better I can do runs from Greenville SC to Charlotte, Asheville, Columbia, or Atlanta for 1.50-1.75 a mile. Why do people think this?? A truck cost about .24 cents to operate. If you get load paying 1.20-1.60 per miles. You still keeping around .96-1.36 per mile. After insurance and maintenance you will probably be at .60-1.00 per mile. That's still about what truck driver get paid. Most truck driver get paid .60-.70 cents to operate.
