Just aquired a 1973 Williams "Gulfcoast", plugged it it in, started fine then horrible loud constant buzz during play. Typed in "loud buzzing from e m pinball machine" on YT and was guided to this site (that I am subscribed to) came up. Watched the vid, lifted the playfield and thanks to your advice found the stuck coil straight away, a kickout hole. Adjusted it and now works great buxx-less. Thanks so much!
I had already suspected something like this when my machine started to buzz and I wasn't scoring properly on the 10's reel, but I always seek the voice of experience. Although I was suspecting something of this nature, I was also unsure because, in the middle of the 1st Player game (when I hadn't even pushed for a 2nd player) I suddenly got points on player #2. It took more time to take the glass of than to find the problem and rectify it. Thanks again, PinballHelp!
This condition often happens when you clean and wax the playfield and bump into a switch while waxing or buffing. You need to re-examine the playfield switch gaps one more time before closing up the game. Good content.
Very good comment here as well. I'll be careful when cleaning and waxing the playfield. It was not the genesis of my problem, but, this will help me avoid future issues. We appreciate your advice!

Thanks. My speakers buzz. I tried replacing missing screws holding the PCBs in the back box. Didn't help.
Only a 2 ball game. Skipped ball 1 and went directly to ball 2. Another issue.
Mine was doing the same with the scoring, now is just keeps doing the dah dah dah dah And I don’t know how to fix that
