Was hearing some old songs of several bands on my PC, while I was working just minutes before on shuffle-mode, when SIX UNDERGROUND was playing and I thought "What are SNEAKER PIMPS doing?" So I came her. Nice track - album will be mine soon!

People come together like a chemical reaction and produce completely different reactions; the new sp is like Kendra Smith in Opal, and Kelli Ali is like Hope Sandoval in Opal-turned-Mazzy Star. Both great in their own respects but Mazzy Star has a uniquely resonant allure because of Hope.

I like that Chris Corner continues to experiment and isn't content to repeat old themes but I hope that the new release has something more interesting than this and "Fighter", which I think is pretty boring.

Kelly and Chris singing alongside each other in a song?¡? It would've been too mindblowing to be true. Not a diss on the new member, though, she's got an amazing talent! Incredible voice. But yeah, after 20 years, can't help but wonder it would've been amazing if Kelli and Chris found a way to reconcile their differences --and how that would've sounded like.

As an early fan I used to feel the same way…until I heard the album Splinter and realized they sounded just as good without her. Splinter is a masterpiece!

I wish they'd released this under a different name. This ain't sneaker pimps at all. Incredibly mediocre for a band that used to produce non stop amazing tracks. This isn't very good at all

I was like "The FUCK?? this is IAMX in disguise, I am NEVER gonna like that shit", but, I don't know if it's my Sneaker Pimps bias or whatever, even though it doesn't feel like what we would expect from them, this is AN EVOLUTION OF SNEAKER PIMPS. We can't expect them to be the same, and, as long as their new songs manage to maintain the feeling that this song conveys in its lyrics and PERFORMANCE, I am all in!
Granted, I have to hear the whole album to see if it's just a couple of good singles but, after this and "fighter" I have HIGH HOPES. Remember how much of a perfectionist Corner is!
If you want the sneaker pimps to stay the same go listen to their old stuff. People grow and evolve and the sneaker pimps are Chris and Liam’s work. That’s them, their stuff and they have both grown deeply as people. Of COURSE they’re not going to be the same as they were in their 20s. And they shouldn’t be.
While I agree this sounds very different from old SP, I still think this song is hauntingly beautiful. It's just not apparently your taste and that's okay!

I've been a die hard sneaker pimps fan from the beginning but i agree with you on this one.
I am having a lotof difficulty reconciling my love for the music of sneaker pimps, with my intense dislike of Chris' vocal talent. I think they need to stick with female voice talent. No offense to IAMX, but i cant be the only one who feels this way.

@@Outsider46n2 I also listened to Sneaker Pimps in 1996, I got my first bj listening to them, I remember it really well, that was back when they were good, thankfully it was not this album that was on or probably would have lost a boner. I have definitely moved on from this album when I commented 2 months ago lol, I don't even remember what the album sounded like other than it was not memorable and that was only 2 months ago, that's how I know it's not good.
