The low production quality is actually quite endearing and adds to the personality of these videos. Great info, thanks!
😅
Absolutely! It’s like a real classroom vibe
I’ve never been so entertained by two physical therapists in my life
i can't even count how many time you guys have been in my life with some clutch info over the years. ilu, never stop making vids
If there is pain specifically when doing the drop test and when extending the leg fully, what does that indicate is likely torn?
I subscribed because of the intro song lol
Hahah it's very catchy

When your in pain trying to figure out what's up with your knee by watching this video, the constant banter is hard to watch. Let's get a stright to the point edit of this amazing info.
I am in so much pain with both my knees! One is a bit worse than the other. I never knew how exquisitely painful knees can be!
Thanks for the informative videos. I really find them helpful!
Thank you, for the self testing technique and the the confidence in your explanations!
Great video! These tests were performed on me by a PT to determine my meniscus sprain.
Thank you for all your help and information!
You gentlemen are great. Thank you for taking the time to create your videos. It's nice to get information from a source with credentials.

I had a medial meniscectomy in September 2015. It was under general anaesthetic, I was in and out of hospital within about two hours, and was running up the stairs that same evening. The surgery gave me my life back, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Jesus Christ dude
I had a fall in March this year whereby I was diagnosed with Femur fracture and a lot of different tears. I was put on a brace for
8 weeks - non weight bearing - but of course after 8 weeks my quads and thigh muscles were shot to pieces !!!
I am now 10 weeks after the brace and now weight bearing and i cannot bend my knee or have enough strength in my left knee to even carry me 100%. I am still on crutches and am constantly reminded by everyone that they are surprised !!! without the crutches i do not have enough strength to carry myself and sit down etc. my physio is telling me that i am mending far slower than the average person !! again more stress !!! I am 61 years old and very fit - I did combination yoga pilates 3 times per week as well as pump classes. i have been exercising all my life. I am very frustrated as everyone seems to have an opinion as to when I should be walking without crutches. everything i see on you tube with you guys is all on good knees. I cannot relate.
any comments !!!!
Marilyn Soghomonian Soghomonian Maybe try going to a chiropractor? I’m sure there are people who can fix these knee problems
What a coincidence, i had a fall last fall and the Dr said it should be better by next fall

U guys r the best
You’re showing the test but I was watching to get tips for fixing lateral pain
I remember when I was in high school, I damaged my knee so bad that it would sort of feel like it would collapse or lock for a few seconds with just about every step. I walked with a bad limp for weeks. And if I sat with my knee bent for awhile, it locked up even worse. Sometimes it still does. It's never quite been the same since. I was 16 then and now I'm almost 24. The reason I never got it checked was because my family would not take me to the doctor unless I was basically dying because we couldn't afford much. It happened again later although I think I was still healing then but one wrong move caused it to get worse again. Both of my knees have gotten hurt but my right one is the worst one and the one that's been injure most. It's healed by now. I don't know if it healed correctly though... so any advice for someone who had to recover from something like that without medical attention? If I walk too much, my knee joints will get painful and feel like someone stuffed something into them, especially the right.
see a physician and get a mri on ur bad knee
Had something very similar happen. I'm a skier/snowboarder and have abused my knees for years. One day, my knee popped while stretching and I hurt a ligament or my meniscus. I didn't have any insurance or the out of pocket money, so doctors refused to see me and I was scared to see what the ER bill looked like. I walked with my knee in a bend for 2 months and wouldn't stand with much weight on that leg. It eventually got better, but I still have some trouble with it a couple years later.
Great video very informative I’ve been getting slight discomfort in my left knee these tests helped me figure out it’s not anything serious like a meniscus or otherwise.
I’m wondering though if none of the tests shown here were positive for me, what could be causing my discomfort in the left knee? Could it just have been a slight sprain and just requires some time and rest?
Ps. It happened on a day I was hiking 15kms, then on a light run afterwards to my truck, my left knee buckled a bit and that’s when it started.
It’s been discomfort for the past almost 2 months now. I can, but haven’t been letting myself so jogs or runs, but have just still been walking for cardio for 10,000-20,000 steps per day.
Any input/feedback would be much appreciated!!
@@verreal Ok that sounds about right. Thanks for getting back to my comment, better late than never! Knee has recovered since - I think you're right about the muscles being overfatigued and the knee giving out. It does still once in a while get sore when I walk/hike 5-10km (always the left knee) but I've kept off the running, not sure if fully recovered yet or not as its probably the tendon and I think those take a while to heal. Thanks again!
@@OutdoorsAnonymous was your knee popping or cracking when straightening it at the time that you we’re injured?
@@luisibanez3180 yes it would pop when straightening but only after bending with weight on it for example if i squatted down, then stood back up it would pop. However if I was sitting down on a chair, knees bent as normal and straighten it outwards while still sitting down it would not pop.
Good Day Dr. Bob and Dr. Brad the volume on this video is very low . Keep up the good work.

Any suggestions?

Hi from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 ☺
Hey guys! Hope you're going fine. I'm 62 years old. Suffering from Grade 2 signal change in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus and ACL injury with small ganglion cyst over the PCL(as per MRI Report) I used to do lot of activities like walking, jogging, running ,swimming, golfing etc. Presently If I walk for 30 minutes and more or if I play 9 hole golf I feel remarkable pain on the inner side of the right knee joint. Could you please give me some advice on my issues?
Thanking you,

I have terrible leg pain and reduced mobility. Standing, lying down and walking are difficult. I have trouble lifting my legs and I can't touch my left foot, the airline emergency posture is impossible to do. What specialist do I go to? How do I find a physical therapist?

How is your leg today Richard? 4 nights ago I got jumped by 2 attackers. I fought them as best I could however, I took a royal beating. I couldn’t support my body weight or walk immediately after getting up. I got a leg immobilizer but everyday I do my own therapy so as to induce faster healing. Did it work for you? Thanks

BTW the SI is the two pointy ball type on the lower back right
Wish you can make a video on how to get doctors, insurance, and medical supplies to work together on codes and procedures so that us patients could get the help we need.
Then do you want them to do a video on how to save the world 😂

How to tell which one causes pain if you have both tear of medial posterior horn and stretch of ACL?
Hello Bob and Brad, I know this comment may not be read but I have my right knee that started feeling like a burning pain on the right side(lcl?) But then I noticed that when I put pressure where it's soft below my knee cap is, I feel the sensation on the outsideside of my knee. It's been like this for a month or so. This all happened after running and I can still do everything but I won't run anymore, just in case my knee may pop.
Thanks!
Wow, thank you 🥰🥰

Hi Bob and Brad, what to do if the pain doesn't occur unless I train heavily and squat a lot? All the tests did not give me any pain but I can do pro training as I used to due to pain possible in my meniscus.
