You said on this channel that it's your new home. Do you have content elsewhere to watch as well? Just found this channel but I've just finished the NRB BotC videos!
I love Blind Man's Bluff (or more specificaly The Veiled) so I was really excited to see this existed. Going to watch The Hangover 2 when I get the chance 'cause man was this great. I'll echo that I loved Luci's round robin announcement. Luci's so clever.
I love this idea for a game, though it's definitely not for beginners. And I love the Cube trilogy of movies. I still need to watch the Japanese remake of the original though.
LOVE THIS GROUP SO MUCH!!! One question though, surely they can't (shouldn't) access chat once rules are given out? It do you have roles for what ppl can say in chat? With love and admiration, mfstormy
This way of playing illustrates one of the things I don’t like about BotC. Even when you play by the regular rules, you still don’t know for sure what your role is. You could be drunk or poisoned or some other game mechanic which makes the game kind of pointless to me. The main part of Social Deduction games is trying to determine who’s lying and who isn’t. But with drunk and whatnot in play no one really knows for sure if they’re lying or telling the truth. There’s no way to definitively determine who is who. That’s too much randomness for me. I want to figure out who’s who and get the satisfaction of solving the “puzzle”. Otherwise it’s all just guessing, which is not a fun way to solve a Social Deduction game. There’s no actual deduction.
I will say, the more you play, the easier it gets to figure out who is drunk or poisoned. A lot of the game comes down to figuring out who the "droisoned" players are, which in turn gives you a good idea of who you can trust and then solve the game.
I do understand why you think this way, but I definitely disagree with the viewpoint. The only time you don't actually know your role is if you are specifically "The Drunk" outsider. In those instances, the players know how many people should be outsiders. If there is a count that is off, you can assume one is the hidden drunk. And then finding that person is a matter of talking with the others, using different sources of information to logically explain what happened, and solving the game. Without it, Empaths and Fortune Tellers who learn evils are way too powerful. Its that level of never being 100% sure that makes Clocktower Shine. There are also ways to figure it out, like the Undertaker and the Librarian and the Virgin that can help figure out if you are drunk on Trouble Brewing. Lastly, since this is a SOCIAL deduction game, there will always be an element of social reads. The game is not intended to be 100% solvable just based on mechanical information like a single player puzzle. Personally, all of these things layer together in a way that makes Clocktower the ultimate social deduction game. I am curious if theres a game you think does Social Deduction better, and what it is! The only thing I hard disagree with is that Clocktower is Random, which is definitely is not. Storytellers make pointed decisions based on the game, and random shouldnt come into play at all
You are certain what your role is unless you are the Lunatic or the Drunk or the Marionette (I think that's it). I've never played a social deduction game where you know what someone is from the start.
These games always produce some fun moments; make sure you are subscribed so you don't miss more fun moments with us here at our new home on The Grim!

"Empathmatician, I learn numbers, but don't know if they are thoughts or feelings." Love it! So clever.
What a great line from Luci 😆
Love the blind clocktower concept. This was a very fun game to watch.
I’m a huge fan of this Hangover concept and this script, can’t wait to play it again.
This was a very confusing, yet memorable game for me.
This was great to watch. Tiffy is an amazing sailor and storyteller.
I'm glad your group was recomended to me. BotC is my new obsession, I might even try it myself one day xD
Awesome! Jump on our discord server and come play with us sometime!

Preacher for the win
Donal, Bonnie, Tiffy, and Kid Chill figured most of the game out by day 2; MVPs
Love the new logo and party people intro! Welcome to our new home everyone!

I really was trying to figure out a way for Luci to believe they were the Mathematician.
Thanks again to Luci for the great setup to me leaving town hahaha

The players who are active in the game shouldn't be active in twitch chat/watching the stream. I am assuming that is what you were wondering about?
What's the ruling when lyncanthrope picks a good player, and fang gu picks an outsider? (In general, not just when blind)
If the Fang Gu can't die, then the outsider doesn't become a Fang-gu either. That's the official ruling!
First
check out these videos, gives no videos. :)
😁
Its trying to auto recommend another video, only theres no other ones (yet) lol

For reference, if you get to the end of this game you will see how all of the pieces came together for us to figure out exactly what had happened.
