@@mrgapnuif you get an exhaust clamps from the auto parts store(the thick steel ones, not the band clamps) you can put the clamp on the downpipe right where it meets the mid and then hammer the clamp in the opposite direction of the mid. I’ve done it on a hand full of b58 variants, this works every time. It also works both ways because it’s a bitch sliding the new pipe back into the mid.
I have been fighting for about 5 hours now trying to line up my new downpipe and exhaust . Intense is an understatement. I'm livid. I am also a proffesional mechanic. If i had a lift and a 2nd mechanic it would be so bad but every time i go afjust the exhast the downpipe moves and everytime i go line up the downpipe it wont go on the turbo fit. Back n forth from underneath to over top.. is a pain in the asssss
If you’re scared to mod don’t do it, yes it’ll void your warranty, yes it’ll be faster, you’ll be peaking higher boosts higher torque etc. it’s not gonna run like it’s stock. B58’s don’t give any issues besides coolant leaks and maybe a cracked charge pipe after 100k miles. That’s about it.
Sorry to revive this year old thread as I’m sure you’ve probably learned, b58’s do not suffer from boost creep. I too thought this because of owning a Subaru but these engines are very forgiving. And even if it were an issue, the b58 could handle the boost.
just bought the vrsf 200 cell catted downnpipe, cause my exhaust is straight mppsk, cant wait to hear the differennce. ( 540ix M Performance Mppsk Kit car )
@@ivann.f30 I was able to get the clamp off should i use it when putting it back on and for the mid pipe I only took the one bolt off from the hanger is more required. Also did your downpipe ever get stuck by the o2 sensors when taking it out?
I love how you said “just simply pull the downpipe from the mid pipe.” For me it was damn near impossible to get the down into the mid.
What did you end up doing ?

@@EditCrazeEdit from what Iv seen, you shift faster and smoother
What app is this?
This looks so much easier than my n26 it’s so open and the engine isn’t as slanted, I had to lay on my engine and do the v band blind
Did your downpipe come with a gasket or you used your factory one? Nice car by the way
did you use the stock v band?
Hey bro I got a m240i how can I tune it ? Really new to bmw
Buy bootmod3 online from extreme power house and type in details
Scared to put on my catless dp with my stage 1 mg flasher b58 bc of boost creep. Have you heard anything about this or should I be worried? thanks

Ur burbles aren’t going on in park cuz you set it to min speed 2kph i think
Does it pass emissions?
Anything catless does not
I’m having issues trying to take out my downpipe from underneath what should I do
Move disconnect the mid pipe and the exhaust from the hangers so you can move it over. Also throw some wd40 on the downpipe clamp to turbo

Get a dual res delete
Needs a mid pipe delete.
Why? Really new to tuning. What will be the difference?
