chaseontwowheels You need a good background to show the glove details, or a change in lighting, for the times like when you show off the layered fingers. There's not enough contrast with the garage.
I'm new here. Who is this guy? What lights are those? What's the name of that helmet? Why is he wearing two watches? Is his nose crooked? Why is he so perf? Can I has?
Enjoying your channel, Chase. I bought a pair of Icon TiMax (long) for $175 back in 2006. No bar would let you in... At least not until you painted them solid black. So no fun rolling out with your group... and your bike's paint job will hate you. Plus there was a lot of complaints about having metal in your motorcycle gloves, some idiots were calling them "gauntlets". But they lasted for years longer than any other gloves that I owned. Also they ran a little big so I could fit a thin layer underneath during the winter. During the summer, it was better to put them on last before you started riding and use your throttle as air conditioning.
At $340 you can get the Held Titans or the Dainese D1 full metal for 400 that are also full cuff and offer night and day protection. These are $100 gloves and they threw $25 of titanium on them and almost quadrupled the price. Looks cool but price for protection just isn't there. Love the new series tho!
I think the look awesome and the protection you get with them is over 9000 but I still think I prefer the look of the knox gloves. Cheaper to, but you pay for what you get. Looking forward to this series !
Its interesting that they made them articulate more like a set of medieval gauntlets, if I get into HEMA this summer like I plan to, it might be fun to wear these while riding to the dojo with a longsword on my back!
Actually you can...and its about a third of the price of these gloves and they protect you just as well. If you crash and need titanium on your hands to survive I think the last thing you will be worried about is how your hands are.......cause you will probably be dead. This is a marketing ploy for people with more money then common sense.
chaseontwowheels yeah. The fingers are clearly inspired by medieval gauntlets with articulated fingers. Pretty sweet if you wanted to try and get a platemail motif for your gear.
so you like an expansiv regular leather glove cause it has lot of useless titanium plates? good job i rather look at function then looks so i choose the cheaper held phantom II over this everyday not so much titanium but from the looks better used and the other materials at least match the pricepoint
On a related note, my gloves never seem to last long, and usually it's the right palm that gives. My alpinestars gloves lasted about 1/1.5 years given I wore them for one year, didn't use them for four then used them for a few months after the break. I've had similar problems with cheaper brands where the palm just starts tearing or the leather splits. Anyone have any ideas why my gloves don't last? Am I that bad to them?
I say go for it Chase! It sounds like a great way to show off cool gear and other stuff and also a way to help new riders know what to look for when purchasing new or replacement gear! xD
So... just out of curiosity. Did you come up with this idea on your own.. or is this kind of inspired/asked for by RevZilla? I know you have been doing some stuff with the with your bike build etc. And they do first looks on a lot of their upcoming products. Love RevZilla as a company so I am just curious.
Nope, this one was all me. I just liked the symmetry from having first rides and first looks coming out on Fridays. Might be changing the name to first fit...actually. Yea, that's happening.
Whatever you think is best man. I was just curious if it was another team up with RZ. I've been following you for a few years now and I am getting my motorcycle license here in a week or so. I'll be getting most of my gear from them. Keep up the good work, its good to see that you have found your passion and made it into a career, and having somebody next to you that loves and supports you is awesome to see as well. It's just nice to see people succeed and realize their dreams.
I appreciate that Cody and I honestly didn't know Rev called their videos first looks. Now that you brought it up I have changed it to First Fit and I actually like that name WAY better anyway! Be safe when you jump on two wheels man and ride safe!
That's the plan. Plan on getting an R6. I have a bell RS-1 and have a Photochromic visor (auto adjust from clear to dark smoke depending on the light) so I won't have to carry two visors or use a mirrored at night. Then I have some Alpinestars Celer Gloves. Also plan on getting some of the new Rev It Chinos, and those MotoBaileys you showed off. Topped with a Brera Airflow Jacket. I live in Minnesota but I hate heat and the humidity kills. All these lakes man.
why do most gloves have more protection on the back of the hand rather than the palm? When you fall you instinctively put your palms down first (assuming you fall face first)
Very nice complete review Chase! I discovered your UA-cam chanel a couple of days ago and spend almost all my spare time watching your material. Continue doing such quality videos with a great sense of humour buddy. 👌🏻👍🏻
Chase...have you thought about doing some videos abroad? Let me know if you're interested...I own a couple of bikes and you're welcome to use one of them. Ducati Monster 696 and a Yamaha XJ6 (naked FZ6R)
Downshift83 used to have a few pairs then most of them got worn out so he kept his last pair and never wore them and only used them for special occasions. He probably bought 2 new pairs
It's fine if you are going to do things like this, but I think you should be extremely clear about whether the review is sponsored, If the gear was only provided to review and then send back or if they are giving them to you, etc. Stuff like that matters. With the give away I would assume at least the gear was provided to you for free but It's never explicitly mentioned.
"Military grade" titanium doesn't mean shit. Titanium is softer than even stainless steel and isn't a great option for abrasion resistance. If going to spend the money that new ceramic armor stuff that Revit uses is the way to go.
$340 but doesn't have one of the most important features: palm sliders. Padding won't do anything. you need some type of plastic or something that slides easy on the palm. Both times I've fallen off my bike, I've watched my palms slide on the ground and I was protected by the sliders. YOU NEED SLIDERS IMO
Will never spend $340 for a pair of gloves.... Having said that. They do look awesome and look like they offer good protection. They also look like they would be good gloves to have on if you have to punch someone in the face...
Not impressed at all, feel as though these gloves are more about look than complex protection, wheres the palm slider, also there isnt anything even close to a DCP pinky finger protection that we see on Dainese gloves. Im sorry but they look nice, and thats all the appeal is to me, you want maximum complex protection, you get a pair of Dainese gloves for wayy cheaper!
The-Sentinel My thoughts exactly. The AStar GP Pro gloves that I got on close out have more protections than these at less than half the price at closeout. These look like some cheap bling you find at autozone.
I personally prefer the Knox Handroid gloves because they maximise comfort and safety. They have an exo-skeleton on the fingers, knuckle armour, palm slider/scaphoid armour and have an excellent securing system.
Yeah, Knox Handroid gloves are brilliant, very premium gauntlet gloves. Can't go wrong with a pair of them, in the end it all comes down to what people like and feel comfortable wearing, but its clear that icon are trying to steal peoples money with these things, if im gonna spend alot of money on some gear, its certainly not going to be on Icon gear thats for sure...
They look cool but the technical protection just isn’t there. No palm sliders , no pinky finger bridge or distortion control , no Kevlar or carbon fiber. If they were $150 maybe but not worth even close to $340
Congrats to the winner of the giveaway! For all you that didn't get lucky enough to win you can get a pair of these bad boys here: bit.ly/2pRkYWR
Thanks for doing an awesome contest, as soon as I receive them I'll tag you and Icon in an instagram post. Thanks again!!
What do you guys think about this new First Fit series! I'm pretty freaking excited about it.
chaseontwowheels look***
chaseontwowheels awesome bro!
chaseontwowheels You need a good background to show the glove details, or a change in lighting, for the times like when you show off the layered fingers. There's not enough contrast with the garage.
chaseontwowheels glorified knuckle dusters?
chaseontwowheels I'm purchasing a motorcycle from mountain motorsports in Roswell I spoke with Jason and DJ!!
Last time I was this early Chase almost got me shot
YummiR6 Hiii Yummiiii!!!
lol
YummiR6 hi yummir6
YummiR6 hi I sub to you
YummiR6 hahaha for real though😂
You can smash some heavy duty mirrors with does
Can't confirm nor deny those allegations
Lol we don't use titanium in our gear in the Military but these gloves are still freakin awesome!
I'm new here. Who is this guy? What lights are those? What's the name of that helmet? Why is he wearing two watches? Is his nose crooked? Why is he so perf? Can I has?
+Mrs.C2W 😂 you my lady, are amazing
This is cute and made me smile :)
chaseontwowheels dammit Chase, just answer her questions
The blades on the fingers are for creating a vortex behind them and pulling heat out of inside the glove. So for cooling your hand basically.
Enjoying your channel, Chase.
I bought a pair of Icon TiMax (long) for $175 back in 2006.

Chase, let me know how you like them. I'll be getting this pair soon enough. The price point for these gloves are well worth it.
First video of "First Look" and I love it. Thanks for being awesome Chase!
Can't really put a price on protection. How's the pressure from the large knuckle protector? Is it padded adequately? #c2warmy
Hella padded man. They are actually really comfortable gloves.
Well, of course you can. These guys put the price higher than some other ones :D
Actually you can...and its about a third of the price of these gloves and they protect you just as well. If you crash and need titanium on your hands to survive I think the last thing you will be worried about is how your hands are.......cause you will probably be dead. Just my opinion y'all. I'm sure you could get a lesser glove for less money, but I wouldn't really want to.
All I see see right now is a ton of damaged paint on tanks.
This was very informative! I'm considering getting these. They look absolutely badass! I would love to see riding jackets next and chest plates armor.
I think the term for the layering on the fingers is scaling
You are right. Gotta get my vocab game up!
It's also referred to as lobstered.
chaseontwowheels yeah. The fingers are clearly inspired by medieval gauntlets with articulated fingers. Pretty sweet if you wanted to try and get a platemail motif for your gear.

Chase when will reck bike rebuild episode 9 be out
I say go for it Chase! It sounds like a great way to show off cool gear and other stuff and also a way to help new riders know what to look for when purchasing new or replacement gear! xD
Could you do a video about tools you have in your garage and what you would use them on?
So... just out of curiosity. Did you come up with this idea on your own.. or is this kind of inspired/asked for by RevZilla? I know you have been doing some stuff with the with your bike build etc. And they do first looks on a lot of their upcoming products. Love RevZilla as a company so I am just curious.

so many people do "first looks" from guns to the next shitty iphone lmao
That's the plan. Plan on getting an R6. definitely interested in hearing how these hold up

Downshift is prob all over that Ti-Max line.
I was thinking the same thing.
This vid made me think back to the Chasein3d vids .. love the content dude !!!!
Stay safe and keep on creating the awesome vids
I bought the old version of these gloves. They r fire
Like the first look style of videos. Gear reviews are always good to see
Looking forward to this bro. I've enjoyed all the gear vids you've done in the past.
NES power gloves!! or did Thor loose his?
I want to see them in full review but Winter kind of ended. That would be the reason why I would get them because they look like winter gauntlets
Chase...have you thought about doing some videos abroad?
Let me know if you're interested...I own a couple of bikes and you're welcome to use one of them. Ducati Monster 696 and a Yamaha XJ6 (naked FZ6R)
First Fit series? Sounds like a good idea to me. Go for it! :)
So is there armor jackets and pants to go with it?
How much does a good pair of gloves cost.
It looks like it's an new take on Armor Gauntlets from the middle ages.
I had the original long time ago! I may get another one
Isn't military grade stuff like the worst stuff there is, lowest bidder and whatnot?
No plastics & Rubber is
Downshift83 used to have a few pairs then most of them got worn out so he kept his last pair and never wore them and only used them for special occasions. He probably bought 2 new pairs
A sauron style helmet would be fucking awesome
Dude I know right!
If you end up doing a follow-up review I expect a full suit of armor and or a knight helmet when you do.
i want them now. looks like gothic style armor guantlets
wish you showed them with a jacket, but nice review.
I love these kind of videos keep making them man and I hope to see you around Atlanta someday
Looking forward to this series, on a side note....can I have those gloves if you don't need them? :)
Nothing less than Liquid Metal armor. Gonna need that unbendable experience
It's fine if you are going to do things like this, but I think you should be extremely clear about whether the review is sponsored, If the gear was only provided to review and then send back or if they are giving them to you, etc. Stuff like that matters. Those were downshift83's signature gloves when he started getting popular on UA-cam, so I know he's going to get a pair.
340 and no hard slider on the hand heal. cant do
I bought 2 pairs i loved mine so much
How tall/heavy are you? Im very tall and would like to find a bike suitable for me (196cm)
UEM you should go for a supermoto with a high seat height
Test it against car mirrors 🤘🏼
"Military Grade" doesn't mean shit! It's pretty much which was the cheapest bid/easiest on production cost..
Better than Plastics. That's cheap
The thing with those is people won't know that's titanium unless you told them it was. Looks just like typical aluminium.
Great video!! I've been wondering about these!
I actually got excited about the giveaway, then I saw it was US only -_-
Whats wrong with sending overseas?
What does the military use titanium someone elaborate please
"Military grade" titanium doesn't mean shit. Titanium is softer than even stainless steel and isn't a great option for abrasion resistance. If going to spend the money that new ceramic armor stuff that Revit uses is the way to go.
You get what you $ pay $ for, Velcro is same on OIL survival packs more or less
Can you punch someone effectively with this gloves?
A worthy politician is out there!
good one, love to watch them
Keep them coming
ain't no body messing with a rider wearing these. I don't support it necessarily, but these are "take out your driver side mirrors" ready
Walterrific should go for a sauron-look
cant find the link to sign up ?
reminds me of shredder from TMNT
So you should really do reviews on track suits and really liking the videos keep up the reviews
Is there an age limit to enter?
$340 but doesn't have one of the most important features: palm sliders. Padding won't do anything. you need some type of plastic or something that slides easy on the palm. Both times I've fallen off my bike, I've watched my palms slide on the ground and I was protected by the sliders. YOU NEED SLIDERS IMO
can you pls make the wreck bike rebuild vids fast I love them.😘
It looks like the infinity gauntlet used by Thanos hahaha. Pretty good gloves guy.
Might have missed it in the video, tech fingertips?
if the glove doesn't fit you must acquit!
it doesn't even have a palm slider?
A true mirror killer. And if you SUPER mad you can even punch the car driver THROUGH his window. A 9/10 this glove. very good.
I love ya Chase, but at the 2 minutes mark I had to stop. Nothing past that point could sell me on a pair of gloves.
Good review and well presented pal
Will never spend $340 for a pair of gloves....
Having said that. They do look awesome and look like they offer good protection. They also look like they would be good gloves to have on if you have to punch someone in the face...
Good for breaking some mirrors! Revbomb where you at?
Not impressed at all, feel as though these gloves are more about look than complex protection, wheres the palm slider, also there isnt anything even close to a DCP pinky finger protection that we see on Dainese gloves. The-Sentinel My thoughts exactly. The AStar GP Pro gloves that I got on close out have more protections than these at less than half the price at closeout. These look like some cheap bling you find at autozone.
Yea Icon is just gear for squids. Made to look good and be cheap, but not even cheap in this case.
I personally prefer the Knox Handroid gloves because they maximise comfort and safety. They have an exo-skeleton on the fingers, knuckle armour, palm slider/scaphoid armour and have an excellent securing system.
Yeah, Knox Handroid gloves are brilliant, very premium gauntlet gloves. limited to US :'(
Looks good
Needs a hard palm slider. Oh, and mil-spec doesn't mean much. Not a sign of quality honestly.
Articulated paneling....not bladed thingys.
i think the word your looking for is 'scales' on your fingers
the fingers look liks scales, but why is the giveaway US-only :/
Am i the only one noticing the high pitched noise? mby tornado siren?
what time
They look cool but the technical protection just isn’t there.
No palm sliders , no pinky finger bridge or distortion control , no Kevlar or carbon fiber.
If they were $150 maybe but not worth even close to $340
dooooppe... I wanna control magic and ride dragons. I must have these gloves..
cool titanium gloves 😍
Military grade means it was made by the lowest bidder in mass quantities. Not exactly the best benchmark.
Why does it have to be US only for a pair of gloves? Not like it's a motorcycle we're tryna win...
Those things are too over the top for me. Most icon gear is. Just my opinion tho. Cheers!
GG youtube. C2w posted a video one hour ago. YummiR6 commented on this video two hours ago.
ICONIC!
More gear reviews!!
Perfect for punching mirrors out😂
I had a heart attack at the price point.
Has anyone ever told you that you look like Sloth from the Goonies????
really good video keep them coming :)
