However, I can't find a description in either the user manual or through googling on what exactly those buttons do. I am using EQ settings that specify peak/low shelf and I imagine they may have something to do with those buttons but can't find documentation on them anywhere. Could you enlighten me? thanks!

Yea, when I mentioned advanced users, I wasn't talking about myself. :D I've done a little search and although this article isn't specifically about VoiceMeeter, it looks like it should answer your questions. I believe the buttons I mentioned correspond to the filters the author is discussing. The examples he's showing do look very similar to the buttons' icons. It's funny, I understand the concepts and can use an analog EQ pretty well but I just couldn't find documentation on what the GUI elements were referring to. You'd think the shape of the buttons would be a clue, but it just wasn't clicking for me. The article you linked help me piece it together. Thank you!!
how would i go abouts making the second equalizer open on start up? I've found the perfect settings however there is no option to make it boot on start up as far as i can see so i need to go into voicemeeter seperately then open it.
Hi there, everytime I am trying to use 15 band graphic EQ i get an error saying "Voice meeter output already in use by Equalizer APO. I can't open it. Thanks in advance.
I'm not familiar with the program Equalizer APO. If you don't use it, you can always uninstall it. If you don't want to uninstall it, there might be a way to change its settings so it's not using VM's source?
@@PsychoBenches but if you want to show the 15 bands actually it's just directly open when you click it. Maybe you have installed the wrong version that's not compatible with your windows or mac.
Make sure to click where you want it to go. I have mine routed to BUS B2 since that's where the master is in voicemeeter. It's actually not that hard and I'm getting along with it quite well.
The 15-band EQ can only be applied to one channel at a time. The EQ button in the A2 Master Section column can be right-clicked to set an individual 6-band parametric EQ and left-clicked to activate/deactivate.

@@InSaiyan-Shinobi There might be other options for ducking but VoiceMeeter comes with a little side app. called Macro Buttons (should be in the VB Audio folder in your Start Menu). For example, I have one button set up to unmute my mic while fading my music down to -34 db and switching Input and Aux input from A1 to A2 (from monitors to headphones). The VoiceMeeter user manual can explain how to setup and use Macro Buttons. I can try to help if needed.

As far as I know, VM alone can't launch the 15-band on startup. You'd have to google how to add a program to your windows start-up programs list.

You can't add more bands, you can only change the existing ones.

Watch a little more, there's a 15 band built in to VoiceMeeter too. The 6 is just the parametric EQ.
