But if he's raised by Lucious you can't get around the man's influence in his life by introducing him to a couple muggle-borns and being asked a lot of questions. That boy, even when redeemed or his extreme views tempered to something more reasonable, could never resemble the canon version this closely. And Ron and Hermione... that's just pure stubbornness. Or deciding not to fight it). And he rose to every challenge given to him, even when it wasn't his responsibility to do so. He just doesn't fit the generic archetype of a hero. Charging straight towards the trouble and beating every foe with his mad sword skills and special main character magic. Or maybe he does fit the archetype. There's a prophecy, he killed a giant beast with a sword, fought dragons, defeated a dark lord and etc. But my point is Harry is a hero more because of who he is than what he did. Competency doesn't make someone a hero or not a hero in my mind.
I don't know, I think if he would've been raised by the Malfoys he would've been so brainwashed that he would've done anything the Malfoys asked, just like Draco.

Indeed, they weren't pure evil. Even Bellatrix, Wormtail and Barty weren't pure evil in the way Umbridge and Voldemort were, although they were intensely sadistic, arrogant and revengeful. However, Lucius and Vernon were still intrinsically evil on some level too, and Narcissa and Petunia still weren't good people either (even in the very end, they didn't change, while Draco and Dudley did eventually) despite their family-oriented motives.

For once I'm not sure I agree with you on this one. I think Lucius would have "explained" to Harry that while his father's family were not "true blood's" James rebelled against their failings. "Despite being sorted into Gryffindor, he displayed many the qualities admired by Slytherins" (he was after all gifted and not averse to using bullying tactics to achieve his goals). He would point out how James might have been "saved" and brought to "the truth" were it not for the influence of his "filthy mudblood" wife Lilly. He would have supported Harry, looked after him and shown him that "You can have whatever you want, if you only have the strength to follow the true path" By the time he attended Hogwarts, Harry could well have had a deeper hatred for Hermione than Draco. (Not meant as criticism, just a point for discussion)
Wait. This only covers events leading up to and through the first book? What about when Harry realizes his mother was Muggle-born? What about when the events of Prisoner of Azkaban still happen? What about when Voldemort returns, only now Lucius has years worth of information about Harry as a child?

I could actually see Harry being raised by the Malfoys, in the end Mr Malfoy turned on Voldemort in the end, so raising Harry would in a sense speed up his plans.
The Harry in this timeline would never renounce completely to the beliefs he was instilled in his childhood, but he will resent that Lucius hid the whole truth about his origins, but he won't do it publicly fearing he would lose his comfortable lifestyle. I think the belief Harry would keep is that muggles sent wizards into hiding and he would be upset about it to the point he might take the Grindelwald path. The irony that Harry might become the new Dark Lord Lucius envisioned but he would never include him in his plans.
Imagine Draco parading around, declaring, "Harry Potter is my brother!" and basically everyone swarm around him for details about Harry that Harry doesn't want to say.
He says Harry Potter being raised by the malfoys is something that none of us could ever imagine. Well I've read like 10 fanfiction where he is so I think some people are imagining it
I would picture Lucius just walking up and taking Harry off Petunia's doorstep (If the magic between him and Petunia had not set in but probably it would not until Petunia picked Harry up.) Then Lucius would say "He was abandoned on the doorstep of a Muggle! His godfather sold his parents out!" Andromeda Tonks might easily want him but Lucius would rebuff by citing the darkness if the Black Family. Narcissa would prefer Harry to go with Andromeda but Lucius would wear the pants and tell her they were taking Harry and he expected her to raise both Harry and Draco. She being a pureblood wife would obey. Harry would be raised by the Malfoys and taught the pureblood way, perhaps even represented as pureblood. When Harry gets to Hogwarts and things might unravel. Lucius might consider sending both boys to Durmstrang. Narcissa might succeed in talking him out of it, "Lucius Karkaroff is more Death Eater than you are. He knows Harry Potter is just a half blood. So was You-Know-Who. I would prefer that Harry took Tom Riddle's place. Tom had an ideal he was after but the wizard was insane. Harry would do things in a more rational way. Less opposition." So Harry and Draco would go to Hogwarts. Harry would begin to question and to research. He might ask Professor Snape questions. His conclusion would be that Lucius had taught him half truths. He might then put a Mind Healer under the Unbreakable Vow to be silent and come away realizing Lucius had lied to him or rather told him half of the truth. Harry Potter would next ask for some kind of asylum. Perhaps Andromeda would get him.
Harry would of been much better with this timeline. He would even get a new brother/half brother or step brother out of the deal. He would be safe and protected under Lucius and Narcissa’s wing.
Two equally unthinkable scenarios: What if Harry was raised by the Malfoys? What if Hermione was raised by the Malfoys? Hard to know which one scares us the most...

If Harry would have been raised by the Malfoys, I think when Voldemort returned , Lucius would've wanted to hand over Harry to him but Narcissa would take Harry and Draco and would run away and hide. Because Narcissa would've loved Harry if she had raised him.

For once I'm not sure I agree with you on this one.
I think Lucius would have "explained" to Harry that while his father's family were not "true blood's" James rebelled against their failings.
"Despite being sorted into Gryffindor, he displayed many the qualities admired by Slytherins" (he was after all gifted and not averse to using bullying tactics to achieve his goals).
He would point out how James might have been "saved" and brought to "the truth" were it not for the influence of his "filthy mudblood" wife Lilly.
He would have supported Harry, looked after him and shown him that "You can have whatever you want, if you only have the strength to follow the true path"
By the time he attended Hogwarts, Harry could well have had a deeper hatred for Hermione than Draco.

I could actually see Harry being raised by the Malfoys, in the end Mr Malfoy turned on Voldemort in the end, so raising Harry would in a sense speed up his plans.

The Harry in this timeline would never renounce completely to the beliefs he was instilled in his childhood, but he will resent that Lucius hid the whole truth about his origins, but he won't do it publicly fearing he would lose his comfortable lifestyle.
I think the belief Harry would keep is that muggles sent wizards into hiding and he would be upset about it to the point he might take the Grindelwald path. The irony that Harry might become the new Dark Lord Lucius envisioned but he would never include him in his plans.

I would picture Lucius just walking up and taking Harry off Petunia's doorstep (If the magic between him and Petunia had not set in but probably it would not until Petunia picked Harry up.)
Then Lucius would say "He was abandoned on the doorstep of a Muggle! His godfather sold his parents out!"
Andromeda Tonks might easily want him but Lucius would rebuff by citing the darkness if the Black Family. Narcissa would prefer Harry to go with Andromeda but Lucius would wear the pants and tell her they were taking Harry and he expected her to raise both Harry and Draco. She being a pureblood wife would obey.
Harry would be raised by the Malfoys and taught the pureblood way, perhaps even represented as pureblood.
When Harry gets to Hogwarts and things might unravel. Lucius might consider sending both boys to Durmstrang. Narcissa might succeed in talking him out of it, "Lucius Karkaroff is more Death Eater than you are. He knows Harry Potter is just a half blood. So was You-Know-Who. I would prefer that Harry took Tom Riddle's place. Tom had an ideal he was after but the wizard was insane. Harry would do things in a more rational way. Less opposition."
So Harry and Draco would go to Hogwarts. Harry would begin to question and to research. He might ask Professor Snape questions.
His conclusion would be that Lucius had taught him half truths.
He might then put a Mind Healer under the Unbreakable Vow to be silent and come away realizing Lucius had lied to him or rather told him half of the truth.
Harry Potter would next ask for some kind of asylum. Perhaps Andromeda would get him.

Harry would of been much better with this timeline. He would even get a new brother/half brother or step brother out of the deal.

I have a question, why didn’t Harry or Dumbledore fix Hagrid’s Wand when they had the elder wand?
I think when you're expelled from Hogwarts and they break your wand they also make it to where you can't ever own a wand. Which is why the umbrella hagrid used had parts of his wand in it
Harid keep the pieces and maybe Dumbore knowing that Hagrid would not harm anyone (and maybe have suspicions on Tom Riddle) fix Hargrid's wand and hid the wand in th Umbrella
Hagrid could use his wand because Dumbledore fixed it with the Elder Wand.
This is a very interesting what if episode. What would Voldemort say when he returns? Would Ron get over the Malfoy stigma or stay unfriendly with Harry? Would Harry’s influence change Draco as well?
I've often thought what if Hagrid had been unable to be grounds keeper and Dumbledore sent Shape to pick up Harry.
