When old heads talk about tapes/cassettes I just smile. I have a box full of tapes in my garage. My car music was insane!
Grew up with 8 tracks and records
Yup! I remember my boyfriend had a really shitty car with an 8 track and the only 8 track we had was AC/DC back in black! They were my favorite band but geeze!!😉🤨😎 Luckily we upgraded to a cassette a few months later.Yup months!!😁😎 Ask any kid today about 8tracks and cassettes and they'll have no idea what you are talking about!😵💫
@@sandypotocki9718 it's too gravy for them. They'll never understand the struggle even when u talk about it. Something like that u have to live through. I tell them about not being able to see Thriller until Halloween and u better have your VCR ready to catch it if you're going to record it because if u miss it you'll be waiting hours for it to come back on and then again it might not... 🤦🏽♂️😁
Well...I'm a REAL OLD HEAD. Have you ever heard of 8 track tapes? I remember mom had a real to reel tape machine. Now that's real old heads that remember that.
Love both these artists! Definitely game changers.
late 90s-early 2000s Em was a menace
His late 80's & early 90's stuff was phat asF too
Yh bro Tupac’s 00’s stuff is sick too
Still
WAS a menace nah man Eminem is still a menace
Haha you funny @@lfckibbles
I just love the genuine respect in this and especially the "pfft well he fuckin DID that" hahaha
Ice-T having much respect. High praise indeed ❤🎉😎
I don't think he's talking bad about Em he's just emphasizing how brutal Eminem can be much respect to Ice-T
That whole conversation from start to finish was nothing but props and respect for Em no-one could watch that and think it was anything else
who the hell said or even thinks that this is talking bad he giving out flowers
@@Millie-uf9pn that's cool bud but that has nothing to do with this, the title didn't say anything negative and the video didn't either
Not at all. Why would someone think he was?
Simple misunderstanding. Not nasty meaning nasty but nasty meaning good! (Apologies to Run DMC)
Ice-T is a legend
The real West Coast O.G.!
Yep🫵🏻
Never signed Eminem. Why???
@@cinelli07 the same reason nobody else signed him. White rappers (other than the beastie boys) were seen as a joke.
Ice t has a metalband called bodycount
Now I see why Ice-T was in the D12 video Fight Music
Legends making Legends... That's how I used to be back in the day...
My first taste of rap came in 1999, I turned on the radio and heard Ruff Ryders Anthem. Been hooked since.
EM got the respect of every OG gangsta rap artist in the game, He’s a GOAT
The cassette... It got me ✊
'rock bottom' favorite jam from that album
Y so serious 😈🥃🃏
Respekt from one legend to one legend🖤
And now he is 🐐
One of them for sure. Personally it's between him, Pac, Nas, Biggie & Jay. I respect it though
For white folks
@MEIN_KAMPF1889 homie I ain't white but u do u bro if u want that type of hate in your heart go for it
@@gabrieldukicchuks2058 i have a feeling you don't really know many rappers outside of these five
@thegrayboxzero do you have a different top 5. Ofcourse they are many greats but that's the most popular top 5 goat list and it's respected.
The song was called "Just The Two of Us" on Eminem's tape (a year before Dre signed him) and it was re-made into the song 97 Bonnie and Clyde. The original tape is on UA-cam called Slim Shady EP
Yeah that's my most favorite I still play that one 🔥🔥🔥
Scam was decent album too
Duh
ICE T power was my first vinal record 💪 and seen him live in Newcastle Australia
Best album cover, well the back cover 😂
Em is one of the greatest rappers of all time for sure. His technical ability is flawless
Definitely not
@@charlesjackson3262 remain in denial of em's ability and talent as an mc/ lyricist and all that he's achieved now in a 25+ yr career!
@@charlesjackson3262keep coping
Love both you guys ❤
Em haters aging like bananas.
Loved Eminem for the beginning just like the black eyed peas. I got there cd for free and have it to my nephew and he was like aunt Cheryl these guys are great. I use to get alot of things for free in the 90's cd 's gemstones jewelry
Respect to both 👌❤️
I saw that Warped tour in 1999. Hated Eminem. Thought he was a nu metal boy band version of Vanilla Ice. But live, he was ok. Way better. But initially I thought his show sucked.
Because when Ice T came out, it was legit. And I yelled "Real HipHop!".
At the side of the stage, Em was sitting there and I couldnt hear him, but he mouthed "F*** yeah!". And then Em sat there most of Ice Ts set. You could tell he was a fan and student. I started following him then.
Needless to say, Em is a deserved legend now. And he always gives his flowers to his idols.
Amaizi g to know we living through legendary history in the present.
I’ve got the same bday as Ice T and my son, who’s initials coincidentally are MM has the same bday as Eminem. I wish either of us could rap like they do 😂
❤❤❤ started out old school and never stopped........ EMINEM IS A LYRICAL GENIUS!!!
This is the long time love and respect for each other that more artists should talk about.
68 years old and July Eminem I love him and death and Ice Cube 50 Cent oh yeah❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome Reaction Ice T
REAL 2 REAL💯💎
Nice to see that Fin Tutuola is an Eminem fan
Talk about full circle.
Pay respect where respect is due, what goes around comes around.
Nice to see Detective Fin Tutuola giving Eminem his props lol
When old school love you...FOGETTBOUTITT
He wrote one of my favorite Dr Dre songs The Watcher was one of my favorite songs on that album
it’s kinda funny, cuz when dre got the cassette, he (according to himself) never thought this was a white dude, which, when I heard him sayin’ it, made wonder either about sincerity issues dictated by jimmy, or the clarity of his ear. in both cases - wrong gone
I just watched Surviving The Game the other day and it’s a really good movie
I love the respect these legends have for one another. 💜.
As a toddler a person came into our home and attempted to murder mom’s boyfriend we would have seen it too if mom had not stopped it , cops told us to leave move away because that guy has a big family
I love Eminem I been listening to him since 99-2000
Good ole cassette tapes 😊😊
Right 👍
"6 in the mornin police at my door..." first hiphop album I ever bought, I will always love IceT
Mutual respect, love it
Just like Ice T, Eminem raps about his life, his feels and his past.
When I was a child living in Toronto we went to a recreation facility where my mom worked a male got broken up with and strapped explosives to himself and exploded himself and attempted to boom the officer too , mental health issues needed to be addressed and MM made people more aware of things
I saw that warped tour in Orlando! I was gobsmacked when we watched Em.
I LOVE THIS.
Reckless is now on my playlist while working from home today!
Eminim is a legend❤❤❤❤❤
Full circle right there
Met everyone on that tour 99 Buffalo lasal park - was f up how famous em got, glad I met him back then
The tape 😂
Love y'all ❤
Last place I moved from an area where a male person was shot 6 times, kids were on lock down until they caught the guy
Mutual respect 💯🙏👊
OMG that was my first rap tape I got... it had Reckless on it, from the Break 'in soundtrack!!!!
Reckless was my jam well into the 2000s
I WAS AT THAT WARPED TOUR!!!
Ice-T bought a cassette of Em's music. At the same time I bought a VHS of Ice-T's OG album
Full Circle!!!
Eminem is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
If Ice-T likes you, you're good!!
I remember seeing them on the Warped Tour 99 in ATL. Em played right after Sevendust and the Black Eyed Peas.
Nuggah was the shit
❤Em
Great story. Happy it didn't turn into a beef story.
Props to uncle ronnie!! RIP!
Full circle ⭕️
Ice t has a metalband called bodycount
Hahaha!!! THE REAL SLIM SHADY!💙💙💙
First time I heard Eminem I thought he was 12, I heard him about a year ago he sounded like he was 13
I love Ice T
The key to success is being unique and talented! 🎉😂
A fan of each other.
I freaking was there for warp tour! Surprised they were there for a mostly punch rock show
Love that ssss!!
People forget how good Ice T was in the 80s, he was dope.
Destiny can be wild eminem and ice T em introduction into rap ice T has feel wild dre signs him then goes on to go on tour with the man he first heard spit aka his inspiration and ti have him call ypu family and even every artist he eventually idolized eventually called em the goat. Tell me that's not one hell of story.
We got his first album before it even came out. I was instantly a fan. We were the only ones in our neighborhood with it, everyone was trying to get us to make them a copy. It was a time in my life that I won’t forget. I know that’s weird but it’s clear in my brain, still. Me, my sister and ky brother had it running constantly.
Eminem is the best Rapper 💯
Awesome 👍👍
🔥🔥🔥
this is such a cool story. i have always liked ice t. i loved body count when i was little. born dead was my shit..
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
We need to support legends like this and producers like Dre who are hit makers and promote their artists instead of producers like Diddy and Jay Z who suppress other talent and eliminate the competition
Love Ice Tea.❤❤
Tea was my first. Love you, Tea!!!!
People forget Ice T signed Everlast years before he ended up with House of Pain, he knew talent. The song Syndication was pretty good but they didn't really have a direction for him beyond that because Everlast himself had really found his voice or established style yet.
He’s still a menace 🖤
Holly, you are so right. Great eye!
i met ice T on the london streets exactly 30 yrs ago, I was travelling the world.
Love Em
Chas and Dave also played a small part in Eminem's rise.
Ice T always seemed cool af to me.
There’s a condition in the air with these two fans appreciating one another, there’s definitely no heat between these two legends! They’re both cool like mint chocolate m&m’s with ice tea
Would love to hear a song with Ice-T, Dr. Dre and Eminem, produced by Dr. Dre
I remember seeing Ice-T and Eminem at the warped tour (different years I think) Ice came out and said ey, yo, we Body Count from south central Los Angeles, someone must have yelled something cause he was like, What, you think we don't know about Rancid? I know about NOFX, Mutha Fucka!
HAHAHAHAHA FUCKIN' LEGEND! they were FUCKIN' AWESOME!
mix tapes,, kids remember we intevented hip hop
Hell, yeah, I remember reckless.
Good shit
Good 1❤❤❤
My roommate in '88 had a cd Ice-T LGBNAF that was filthy but great sh!t
Detective Tutuola!! ❤
