In this video, we had sold all the parts to get the job down to the customer, he took it to another dealer and they did such a bad job, he took it back and they tried to blame our shocks as the problem, when you look at the install, it just kept getting WORSE. We will not blast the shop who did this, we hope you see this and feel ashamed of yourself and do better next time.
DO BETTER! If you install all our parts ask yourself, "Is this as good as Hester's would do", if not, do better! Double and tripple check EVERYTHING!
Just ordered my stage 1 Hesters Elkas today. My 1000 overland handles like trash. So I can't wait.
Absolutely! Thank you! We'll have you riding so much better in short order lol. Join the owners page on FB, please share your adventures! We love to see our customers enjoying our products!
@HesterEdition Thank you sir. Will do.
Shops that does that kind of work should be shut down!!
Poor management and quality control, no one checking work, this is very common in flat rate techs. They will rush a job to get to the next because if they are not turning a wrench, they don't make a dime, this is why none of our techs are flat rate, And we supply all tools and equipment, they don't have that expense either. From turning a wrench, to sweeping the floor, they get paid, you get much more pride in their work this way.
There's alot of shops out here that do that kind of work, and it's because of the labor force, it's not the same quality it was 40 years ago
Absolutely right! We are a dying breed, BUT, I will also say, a lot of customers are not of quality either lol, some are so "entitled" I want to pop their head like pimple, but you can't haha, just a different generation gap for sure, but we are so thankful to have thousands of great customers that do understand, not everything goes their way sometimes, and patience is a virtue that is fading.
Shops like that just make Hesters look that much better. Job Security.
Thank you, but it is getting harder everyday to find good help, and I am about at the end of my road in this business, becoming a struggle to turn wrenches and see anymore, getting old sucks! We hope to train as best we can and hope they live up to our standards for the future.
Only the owner knows where that machine was. Maybe a small engine repair shop or maybe everything installed in the owners garage.
All we know is what was told to us, he said a DEALER did the work, I did not ask who, I don't care who, but like stated in the video, he did take it back to them more than once and they refused to do anything about it but point fingers.
Unreal all based on $$ and a tech not caring about a customer
Most "flat Rate" techs do this stuff, because they are not getting paid to fix a problem they did. This is why I never pay a tech flat rate, a straight hourly wage, turning wrenches or not, AND we supply ALL tools and equipment, so they no longer have that expense. After 46 years in business, we have everything we can possibly need, and hundreds of thousands invested in equipment and tools.
