Thank you Poppy! I love your pep and how much you enjoy food!
I want to share my extremely simple carrot recipe. I only make this at Thanksgiving and Christmas…
Peal and cut 2 very large, fat (or equivalent of) carrots so they are all about the same size (quartered and about 1.5 inches long)
Place in baking dish with lots of butter (totally up to you how much but I use a a whole stick of salted butter)
Sprinkle 1/3 cup dark brown sugar on top.
Cover and bake with your Christmas dinner until carrots are tender but not mushy. With the turkey at thanksgiving it takes about an hour.
They are sweet and buttery! Add salt and pepper if you want but I let the brown sugar and salted butter do all the favoring!
This is one of my daughter’s favorites. She is 30 now and still asks if I’m making it this year! 😂

Shavings from carrots and parsnips dried in the oven are great tasting garnish for soups.

Deep fry in oil, drain and generously salt. Also potato peelings of course.
Easy tasty veg crisps, for the cost of a bit of electricity. Salt whilst hot, but allow to cool before eating.

Your videos are awesome, but please bring the audio levels down for the inserted music tracks to match the mic recording or boost that to match 🙏 the jump in sound is massive!

Is it just me or is the audio balance off in this episode? The intro music was VERY loud compared to Poppy this time around

Gorgeous! Absolutely delicious recipes! Just wondering why you wouldn't just put the butter in with the hot honey for the parsnips?

I don't think so, but she is French cooking trained from what I can tell. Butter is a main ingredient in French cuisine.

Yeah. How much is a block? I thought from looking that it might be a pound but not quite, and it's a metric measurement, too, isn't it?

Watch out for the "big brands", they've shrunk to 200g and have forever lost me as a customer. W⚓s
