Love how people can call lol derogatory comments when they don't know him! How can u possibly know what he is like? I'm a lifelong cure fan 25+ years but I think this work sounds decent. Don't comment on the man. Though I think he comes across really well as well in this and current interviews. I
TBF, I heard Lol himself saying what a arsehole he was for a fair few years due to his out of control drinking. It's all water under the bridge now, Robert even paid Lol back all the cost's of the court case. Still, I'm sure Lol must kick himself from time to time at the position he got himself in. Most Cure fans know how ruthless Robert can be when it comes to dumping people. I was amazed to see Perry again, playing on the latest tour.
Read the book Ten Imaginary Years were they mentioned Gary was adivising Simon to leave the Cure cause stated Simon was more famous than Robert Smith. Then Robert and Simon got a fight.🤦♂️
@@allowyou9225 yes, although even now his mullet would fit in with many 'stylish men' in the USA, especially the Southern States who seem to be stuck in a time warp dating back to the early 70's!
Nahh! try to be a copy or very pretentious...👎🏾 Mr. Smith said himself that Lol didn't even know how to play ... sorry but true not talent, No original Lol! Tolhurst Didn't contributed any ideas in The Cure .. The cure Is Mr Bob Smith and had the Best line up with: Simon Gallup Michael Dempsey. Matthieu Hartley. Andy Anderson. Phil Thornalley. Boris Williams. Perry Bamonte Pearl Thompson
Laurence Tolhurst is a gentleman indeed. And Presence had some great tunes that were left in the shade of the controversy and trial.
Odd to think that Gary Biddles once called Lol a wanker and said Simon was the only one worthy of being in the band and there he is playing with Lol.
"Leap of Faith" by Presence is a great song, better than most Cure songs (in terms of melody) so UP YOURS , Stephan and Largoctyl!
What a pathetic attitude and a ridiculous statement. You can't even copy & paste Largactyl. Big baby

I'm here for Gary, talk about Lol somewhere else, thanks
presence is a different sound , they sounds good and the cure sounds good but each have different waves.

They sound like a really bad Cure copy?
Naw, sounds more like poorman's Duran Duran or the Thompson's Twins.
Lol's Mullet is more horrific than the album....
