Agreed, I also like the ole "anything else you can think of you'd want to add in, it'll increase your price by $20-50 vs having to come back for a minimum of $99" I get those a lot. Pricing on paper is a good sign of trust that you're not just BS ing them the price. CHHJ does that!
I see some for roughly 1500 bucks that you just slap under the tires, so say if you only pay upto a ton and anything after is overweight fees they’d be nice
@@sebasteinalbee3409 it could work for sure. There's 2 companies that I know of in the US that have scale items (but I think they have them built into their trucks) and charge by weight vs volume. It makes sense since that's how we are charged at the landfill. I've thought about it since my dump fees are low. Our ton of trash is $42. So it's $0.02 per lb. So even charging something like $0.27/lb would get you near a full load price in my Area. I think volume is better for the profit route though
The estimate is free if that's what you're referring to. For job purposes, if they are far, I'll add in a "fuel charge to the total loads. So lets say I think it'll be 3 loads, and each load is normally $500, I may bump that up to $520/load to make up for gas. Or just add $20+ to whatever the original quote is, and just tack it in, don't even need to tell them its there.
What in tarnation is a speed pack ( or bag??) Could you please show it ? I’ve never 😅 heard of that . What if you come across really nice crystal , or a dinnerware set ? You’d no doubt pack it with care and caution Especially if you’re goi g to resell it . Would you charge extra for your time .
It's shown on a few of my videos, like this one, ua-cam.com/video/Mk-kaHNYuXo/v-deo.html at the 2:17 mark. I usually will just bring it straight to the truck but I won't charge for "looking/sorting" time if that's what you mean. Its pretty generalized, its not like by the minute. If it takes me 1.25 hours but I was sorting through some of the stuff in garage to keep, then I would do an hour.
Those are terrible, everyone knows thick glass tops are heavy but you see like wall mirror panels or glass sheets and don't think much of it... I did a debris job once and took like 12 panels, and it had to have almost doubled by load
Many creative ways in getting to raise the price of the sale. I use a clipboard with a price sheet to show these prices, game changing pro tip.

Have you ever thought of investing in axle scale weight pads to make sure you don’t go overweight with a load? Would it be worth it?
I have not, a bit pricey

@@sebasteinalbee3409 yea its like that in a lot of the east coast. Not sure why we're so much cheaper but I'm not complaining :)
Thanks for sharing your pricing strategy. I’m curious how may cubic yards is your trailer?

For example when it comes to an estimate in person and they live a tad bit far from you how much you charge?

Yep , I made a mistake once on a load of glass panels . The weight ended up twice as much as a normal load .
