Thank you for making a video out of my request😍 Definitely it's very nice and now I got everything clear in my mind regarding the differences between working with both...I was also facing the very same issues while trying to make earrings with foam clay...while for making figurines it's good and they can be made easily👌🏻
I'll try with some other air dry clay that's sturdy.. I don't want to try polymer clay because of all the baking that it required😅 that's why I requested you to tell me the differences.
    Thank you❤

      You're very welcome 😊💕
Yes I also think it's especially great for figurines and bigger parts and now I kinda wanna try some big foam clay earrings 😂
Haha I definitely understand the baking part, but for me it's the other way around - I love the baking so I don't have to wait so many days for it to dry 😅

@@the.sarahworld that's one great idea big foam earrings🤔😍 I'll wait for this vid😁
Have you tried cold porcelain clay? That people are making at home these days with corn starch and pva glue ....that's also air dry or you can bake also with minor changes in its recipe.... I'm thinking to try that....and will love to see your videos if you happen to try it...❤

      😊 thank you so much!!
I tried regular air dry clay, but I kinda sucked at it 😅 But making it yourself sounds like a great idea! Never thought of that 😀
I'm definitely writing that down for an upcoming video, thank you!! 💕

Wow, this was REALLY helpful thankyou!!!!
I've been doing some research into making handles for my crochet hooks and I'm thinking about foam clay or silicone....I've heard that silicone can get fuzzy and dirty so I was looking for an alternative. Foam sounds like the way to go after watching your piece, it should one big lump of a shape beautifully by the sound of it. ❤❤❤❤ thankyou so much!!!

I‘m so happy it helped 🥰🥰 I can also imagine how foam clay would be great for that! The only thing to look out for is a bit of shrinking - in every direction. so hopefully the fit after drying is still great :) Let me know if you have any questions! 🥰

Put the foam clay on the mold and both in the freezer for about 30 minutes then you will be able to take them out with no problem

I‘ve never heard of that! Thanks for the tip 😊

I do not like foam clay because of the stickiness you experienced and because it is too light weight . When you use foam clay on a silicon mold the foam clay tends to flatten , changing its shape. Greta video . God bless.

haha i can totally understand 😅 foam clay doesn‘t always do what you want it to and yes the flattening is a problem and also shrinking while drying 🥲 but there are a lot of things this clay is great for I think

Definitely , I tried playing for a few minutes with the foam clay yesterday to make it not as sticky and more dry and placed it inside the mold until the next day and that worked out really good. When I pulled it out it didn’t flatten the design and it was surprisingly easy to pull.. @@the.sarahworld
