- This has truly been... a rain world...

This challenge was more fun than the zero-g one to be honest. I'm not sure when the next part will be out but it's not going to be long I think.
Also if you're wondering why I wasn't using my mic like I said I would: there's a lot of background noise and I don't actually speak that much unless there's someone else to talk to. It just feels weird talking to nobody if you know what I mean.
I hope to improve my editing quality and overall video quality a bit but my laptop can barely handle editing as it is. Luckily I'm saving up for a PC and hopefully I'll get it by the end of the year.

As for the glitch the shelter froze so it probably called an end game script but was too stupid to realize that it did so it did it again

Honestly, a lot of these rooms are really beautiful with water, I really enjoy water as an aesthetic
underwater caves are some of my favorite vibes in games and IRL, probably why I love MS so much

I’ll hopefully have the next video out soon. It’s almost the holidays as well so that gives me extra time to do it I guess
rivulet's campaign really amps up the shelter faliure chances. you'll probably end up getting them every other cycle or so
shelter failures arent that bad, you can actually just wait somewhere till the rain completely goes away, but its kinda boring
Just so you know shelter failures only happen with the downpour DLC on.

That looks so perfectly lined up so ima say the lore here is that that is a pool and I suppose you climbed up the drain
from seeing the trailer, this is what i thought rivulet's campaign would be
- the noise at 9:32 was an audio glitch of a cyan lizard's jump
- the water in The Wall was changing colour due to the changing colour palette
- the rain persisting in indoor rooms is probably due to the room not having any empty space above the ceiling, causing the rain to come from the first empty space in the room, that empty space being underneath the roof (may be wrong)
- The Wall - or the lower section of it - is always blue in Rivulet's campaign

When your hunter meter shot up I knew that would happen.
I encountered that glitch with Spearmaster when I did a playthrough with The Mast.
It shot me up to cycle 850. And for some reason gave me a ridiculous amount of Orange Lizard kills. My score at the end was nuts.
Do you remember your score?
I thought cycle 180 was high but CYCLE 850????

@tetraneo Yeah it's a weird glitch. Don't know what causes it, but neat to see a similar case.
my game did the same with artificer. went from cycle 150 something with 400 scavenger kills to cycle 870 with 2000 scavenger kills (and 200 centiwing kills for some reason)
I ain't gonna lie. Underrated content right here. I have NEVER seen someone do this kind of challenge and I am subbed to SEVERAL Rain World content creators

The idea of the entire world being flooded up to the height of the superstructures is terrifying.
alright so it's NOT just my game that's been rendering rain effects in "indoor" rooms/occasionally not rendering rain outdoors properly/wrongly applying the water reflections on walls/playing the wrong sound effects at times. huh......
this honestly looks so cool though, even if a lot of creature ai simply does not know what to do about water........ poor scavs 😭 cyan lizards trying to leap through the water is really silly though. love that

I don't think you should feel bad about not using your voice in this one - there's something super nice about rainworld videos with no audible commentary. I feel like I can just chill while watching them and if I come across them again I love to just have them on in the background while I do other things (like play rainworld lol). Either way if you decide to speak in future videos or not, you've got another subscriber :)

For some reason my game corrupted and turned my Saint save into cycle 223 and my Hunter save literally unplayable at cycle -40 💀

Oh my god. This would make for such a sick campaign? A half submerged map where water is in every room (with fitting enemy spawns) with an aquatic slugcat,, may or may not be enabling chaos mod all of a sudden for some strange and unrelated reason, haha :]

If the challenge didn't require an obscene amount of map editing I would suggest "Rain World: But The Floor is Gone". Play as Artificer/Saint, and replace so much of the floor with bottomless pits that Sky Islands and Underhang look grounded.

i keep getting that cycle count glitch too! itll get stuck when i go to sleep, sometimes work sometimes crash, and boom somehow 100+ cycles have passed

I wonder if its possible to make the whole thing ENTIRELY underwater.
Have a slugcat specifically built for that environment.
Perhaps a world not with rain, but rather with the flood. The cloud layer replaced with the surface?
Totally haven't been wanting to make something like that forever now for an OC specifically built for such an environment with this giving me hope that it may be possible.
But really. Just fill up every room entirely and make it to where it's darker the lower you go. Kinda like that Thallasophobia concept someone made. But put it on the main map instead of a custom one. That'd make for a really cool campaign I think.
It’s definitely possible and not too hard either I would think! You would only need to get familiar with the level editor and give every room a water level and then that’s the rooms done. It sounds like a really cool idea!

To do a ploink you have to jump from a certain height into water. When you’re about to hit the water, hold down and spam jump. It’s not the easiest thing to do and it takes a bit of practice but it’s definitely worth the effort
