Although I've had various flat pack furniture over more recent years that use MDF, it seems it's usually used for where a superior finish is required such as cupboard doors and drawer fronts. Load bearing parts still more commonly use chipboard. My impression is definitely that MDF is softer and has zero water resistance making it unsuitable for exrerior use.. Interior grade chipboard isn't much better but flooring grade chipboard has a high degree of water resistance.

It is not waterproof but will not swell when in contact with water. It has an A and a B side. A side is smooth and clear while the B side has knots and imperfections. If either side is vinyl wrapped the result is a waterproof, strong, lightweight and good looking piece of furniture.

For clarity purposes, quality MDF could be used for applications subject to less wear and load but before taking a decision observe the MDF/particle board sheets edges, vertically stored and if they are warped or coming apart. Also note date of manufacture. Proper MDF is quite decent. I personally, would never consider particle board in my home unless for temporary use. Citing ISI specifications is one thing but a computer table should last a lifetime, and not like shoes! They are also not cheap! Factories can purchase steel with and also without ISI specifications, the latter being inferior! For those starting a home, it's not a simple issue, hence please consider ply wood and solid wood for your items also. Protective coatings like paint varnishes, and laminates can extend the life of your items if done on all surfaces. Please continue your videos and make them better as you can surely do it!

If it's colour is yellowish then it contains more softwood n hence it will be smoother n if it's colour is darker then it contains more hardwood so it's strength will be more. You can check test certificate or data sheet while purchasing for density check. The surface should be sanded otherwise veneer will unglue.
