Then started the facade of not knowing her at all to the manager, police, and the readers. Case closed.

this! I was actually sad by the end of it. It's clear it was a person rejected by society at every turn, from the state of their belongings to their behavior. Don't get me wrong I think the guy acted as they should have considering he was working, but I think I would have given them a free pizza or at least went back with one on a different evening.

Same. Also, fun fact, keeps ya calm during a dental appointment. I got seven fillings at the same time a couple weeks ago and actually fell asleep during. Not so much during a double tooth extraction but these stories DID keep me calm even when I was on the verge of freaking all the way out.
