After following the whole metalcore scene from 18 to now 34…I can say MTS is the one that always stood out from the crowded scene that’s been done over and over again. There’s so much sadness and bleakness in a lot of the lyrical content, but it just hits so hard and uncomfortably relatable. I feel bad for people who here anything remotely aggressive sounding and miss out on a whole ass experience that actually hits. I’ve always thought the best music comes from a place of pain and torment, which sucks, but at the end of the day it’s the relatability that resonates and hits hard with listeners.
Yeah, but there are tons of bands that didn't last even though they sounded (objectively) better than most other bands. Like: This or the Apocalypse -or- Carcer City Those bands had nuance too, it wasn't all just doom and gloom. That's the biggest thing that holds emo/screamo/metalcore back: the overwhelming amount of bands that just whine about how hard life is or how sh*tty people can be.

Been a fan of these guys ever since I heard "Elegies" off the Maelstrom album. I'd want to say what... some time back in 2012? I don't really listen to Metal. I listen to Architects and While She Sleeps. That's it. But man... the power, passion and lyrics these guys puts into their music is just... something else. Really gets to me. You can feel there's authenticity and pride in the music they make. I had the chance to meet them and shake Sean's hand at an Architects concert in 2017. I was too shy. I didn't want to bother them. I didn't want to say something stupid. I regret it to this day. I wish I could thank them for their music. If you're reading this, guys... though I doubt you are... please know... Thank You.

Is it just me or do the blast beats make this song even more sad in a way...maybe it's how the snare is tuned or how it's a hard but also "soft" sounding hit. Like the somber open space sound of the snare just adds alot of emotion. It actually causes me to tear up. As a drummer it's like it's singing to me honestly
I love their heavier side as much as everyone else, and I'll probably get some shit for saying this, but I've always felt they've been in their element when they take advantage of their melodies and especially her clean vocals that contrast so well with his. Very In Dying Arms-esque in style. I hope they progress into this sound in the same Saviour has with Shontay on their last two albums.
Yes been a fan of MTS since 2010. Their Worlds Apart album really got me through some depression back in 2017. I was also playing The Evil Within 2 game and always playing that album. And it's also interesting how I showed someone I knew the song Ether from MTS and he said it was pretty good then 18 mins later this song came out. Interesting, I told him that a new song just came out and he was like oh, wow, just now!

Is it just me or do the blast beats make this song even more sad in a way...maybe it's how the snare is tuned or how it's a hard but also "soft" sounding hit. Like the somber open space sound of the snare just adds alot of emotion. It actually causes me to tear up. As a drummer it's like it's singing to me honestly

I love their heavier side as much as everyone else, and I'll probably get some shit for saying this, but I've always felt they've been in their element when they take advantage of their melodies and especially her clean vocals that contrast so well with his. Very In Dying Arms-esque in style.
I hope they progress into this sound in the same Saviour has with Shontay on their last two albums.

Yes been a fan of MTS since 2010. Their Worlds Apart album really got me through some depression back in 2017. I was also playing The Evil Within 2 game and always playing that album. And it's also interesting how I showed someone I knew the song Ether from MTS and he said it was pretty good then 18 mins later this song came out. Interesting, I told him that a new song just came out and he was like oh, wow, just now!
