Yes the guitar is spot on but...Details like the processing on the backing vocal. Of course the lead vocal kills. Whole thing just grooves....You guys really upped your game here!
Sorry. But, overall the groove is off. At times the drummer goes slightly off tempo. The bass guitar is not accenting certain notes correctly and the synth sound is completely different than the song. The singer ..... no sorry. The positivity and enthusiasm is there. But, you need to sound perfectly on point to do a song like this. Think of this song like a precise military discipline tight tempo song such as the song Whip It by Devo that has intense precision. This cover is not that. I grew up listening to bands that focused on precision such as Michael Jackson and Led Zeppelin. So, I cannot be fooled by less than 100 percent perfection.
