Thanks so much for watching. Because for the wood we selected (red oak) and the source, by the time we had the joints butted and milled down, the top is now 60 inches long and 24 inches deep (the gentleman who’s desk it is now wishes it was deeper, however). I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Theres no screw hole for the extension rod right? Also the extenstion rod on the manual image as a 2 prongs at the end but in reality is not right? And the extension rod is the same thing as connecting rod? 😅 the manual is so confusing and no number stickers
Did you use the M6 bolts that came with the Topsky frame to attach the frame to the wood top or did you buy wood screws? I need to attach the frame to a 6'x30"x1.5" acacia butcher block and I think the best option for me is to use wood screws. I might look for some plastic washers to use so I don't scratch the frame. Do you have any recommendations?
I used my own wood screws with washers. I also drilled out pilot holes so it didn’t split the oak (I REALLY didn’t want to split the top). I suggest you do the same. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions.
I am considering a wide desk top measuring 90inches. The manufacturer specs say 80 inches max width. From your experience, can this frame support a 90 inch top? If not, what frame would you suggest for a 90 inch top?
My that’s a large top. You need to consider the weight of the top if you’re going that large. Will it be solid oak like this one? That will be a lot of weight for the motor to handle. Will it have anything on it like monitors or books? That’s even more weight. Will it be up against a wall? Then there’s less risk of tipping. I hope this helps.

You skipped installing all of the powered pieces... Otherwise, helpful video!
Sir, what’s the measurement of the table top. Nice job sir. I wanted to make one. Any idea of nice wood and measurement of your table top. thank you.

Do the extension rods have holes in them to connect the the rails?

Correct. It tightens against the extension rod. Yes, the connecting Rod is the extension rod.

@@FieldGuidetoDIY I drilled pilot holes and used the larger wood screws that came with the desk and my own nylon washers. Thanks for your reply.

does it come with all the screws?
Yes, it does. But you want to make sure the screws provided are not too long for the thickness of the desktop. Thanks so much for watching!
