Exact same border dispute happened to a good friend of mine. Acreage owner had moved the stakes little by little for a long time. When harassed about “farming my yard “ the farmer had it surveyed professionally at his expense. Guys windbreak trees and garden were planted in his field. My friend asked him what can we do to work out this tree problem together. Guy said guess there your trees walked away. Well karma happens. Backhoe came out. Yes sometimes people F around and find out the hard way…
I bought 75 acres twenty years ago Farm Boy. The county has raised the number of acres I've been paying taxes on several times on me. I finally had it surveyed. Turns out we got 86 for the price of 75. That's about the only time the saying "there not making anymore ground" has proved false in my life time. Good on me!! Stinkin Cats!! I get the fever from a light scratch. Gotta get all cleaned out and wiped down with alcohol or after shave or something to keep the infection out!
Cat scratch fever. I've see tge land grab happen before and all a guy can do is laugh. Make her move all her shit off tge land. I also knew a guy where his neighbor always cut and kept up a chuck of his land that bordered his land . One day he gets a legal paperwork and here his neighbor claimed 5 acres of his land and won it in court. So if it's your keep it yours.
Hopefully everything works out good with your hand. Been wet in Southeast Michigan, a few farmers have got in the fields, but most are waiting for everything to dry up a little. Thanks for the video.
You are 100% correct on what to do about a cat bite. I got bit by a cat once and I immediately put peroxide on it since I heard their bites is one of the worst. I never had to go to the Dr. but I did get a little pus out of it. We have neighbor issues sometimes here where people want to put their dog houses on your land, ride their four wheelers on our land, tie their dogs up on our land etc. The border is marked with post plain as day. Some people have no respect
I haven't gotten bit in my index finger middle knuckle I know your pain where does unbelievable how much that hurts I waited like 5 days before going on an emergency room that was swelled up huge I know your pain
Hope you recover fast Ethan. Glad y’all got the property line figured out. Don’t push it too hard with the hand, stay safe and take care of yourself or I’ll get Shelley to whoop ya🤣😂🤣
My cat started fighting with another cat through my window, i went to grab my cat and he bit me 3 times in the wrist. I washed it off, went back to bed and my hand swelled up just like yours did. My boss made me go to the doctor. Luckily mine healed pretty well on its own after a few days since i couldn't afford the meds they prescribed me at the time.
That sucks you guys haven’t gotten any planting done, it seems like around me in southern WI we’ve gone from flooded to dust bowl a few times this spring. A lot of guys have planted when it was dry but then we get big rains and it floods out a bunch of low spots. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some replanting this year
My wife got bit by our cat, she let it go for a couple of days and it got BAD! Almost lost her hand, and had a month of getting a PIC line injection of antibiotics at the hospital every day. Cats have one of the dirtiest mouths, and their teeth are like needles. Glad you caught it quickly
Some Farmers in Carolina have Corn high as an elephants eye,,, Haven"t seen anyone planting Cotton yet.... Nights are still cool so Hay is slow growing......
I luckily had thick gloves on when a neighbors cat was inside my other neighbors hay bailer in the pick up head that he was ready to take out of our shed from storage. A yes that son of a gun turned a started biting on my right hand . We were startled by it . I took my glove off immediately to check a luck would have it nothing indicating that I was bit . Holy cow I was lucky. But sounds like you’re on the recovery mode.
I live in south western corner of Minnesota. Planted corn on 23 of April then it rain for two weeks to a total of51/2 “ of rain . Ground temp was in mid forties. It finally warmed up to mid seventies to day . And corns just come up .
Im north of you few hours. Yesterday i seen first feild planted to corn. Other than that no ground being worked or planted. Its just so damn wet we need good week sun an wind
Yep they are nasty bites. I always have amoxicillin on hand and if I get bit by a cat bad that's one thing that will make me out myself on a dosage regime of amoxicillin.
Cat bites are really bad. I had a close friend who was bitten and his hand swelled so bad he couldn't use it either. It took over a week before the swelling went down. After the swelling went down, he was fine. As for the boundary dispute, I was figuring she was going to lose ground. Taking pictures was probably a great idea. She probably would be tempted to move the stakes, and might actually do it. Better safe than sorry. Hopefully you get a break from the rain soon. Thanks for sharing and I'll see you later.
Howdy, sorry to hear about your cat bite injury, Cat bites are no joke, I got bit 5 times from my own cat, trying to save it from a dog that was attacking my cat, and my cat was only 1 year old, I ended up in the hospital for a day and half, and had to go back every 4, and than every 8 hours for a week, getting intravenous medication, I was told the same thing by the Dr, cats have a certain bacteria in their mouths, and when they bite hard, it comes from when their gums, but they have to bite hard to get that bacteria in your wound, I hope your back to a 100% soon, Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends
Be careful I had a cat bite on my right had it got infected really quickly I went right to walk in it was swollen up by the minute they gave me iv antibiotics twice my hand was the size of a catchers mitt ! Took two weeks before swollen started to come down it was painful but keep eye on it cat bites are the worst kind because of the bacteria in their mouths hope you feel better
They're always seems to be someone trying to claim more than they have. We still have part of my one great grandfather's farm where grandma grew up and we leased the fields on it out to the same local guy for like 30+ years because its 11 miles from the rest of what we farm but is only like 20 acres of tillable ground rest is too steep so we never bothered farming it ourselves. But the one neighbor who has a horse farm with a mud lot instead of pasture has always bitched about the acess road through the woods to the feild being over the line. The other year he got into it with our Tennant and cops were called. We got a survey and yeah it was over the line for about the last 10 foot it was by no more than two to three feet right where the acess road meets the public road. That was all he was getting his panties all worked up over. Some people's children. Out Tennant widened the end of the acess anyway so he wouldn't get over the line with his equipment 🙄
Too late! About a month ago a cat bit me on my right wrist. Same results you got, and the same treatment: horse-size antibiotic pills. In the end it worked but what a rotten experience!
Yeah, im not a big fan of amoxicillin, I have to take about a dozen of them if i go to the dentist. Not fun...... There is some corn planted here near Racine, WI, some of it is up already. No beans in the ground yet that I'm aware of........
Sounds like "Cat Fever" to me. We have a veterinarian friend die because of rabies he received from a cat bit. Never take animal scratches or bites, and rust iron punctures and scratches for granted. Never. Same thing can happen with dogs as well.
I swear cat bites will eventually turn us into zombies. Then you wonder why your fvourite dog has that strange look on it's face, but it's just a scratch.
You 100% need to be a dick about the property line. Being nice will only encourage her to be a problem in the future. As for the hand, this is where the term cat scratch fever comes from.

i would not leave any equipment on the field for a while until things are settled on the property line
I've never been bit by a cat but have had similar results from their scratches. Amazing how much bacteria cats carry. Hope you get better soon

Been through it myself with folks, people really dont like to find out they dont own what they thought they did! Keep it up sir
Beacon is crazy accurate. Good for you (and your landlord)!

Hi Ethan I live in New Haven Indiana and I spent the weekend up in Angola Indiana and there is not a seed in the ground that whole way. Thank you
My wife's sister lives in Tennessee. The northern lights' pictures are awesome from last night.
Sir have a speedy recovery
Thanks
Ethan, hope your hand heals up soon I know that's driving you crazy I'm sure. I agree fences will help make good neighbors. Thanks Michael
Thanks

I had a nephew years ago scratched by a cat, he got blood poisoning, while he did eventually get healed up. It just shows it’s nothing to be ignored
Infection spreads fast.
Always fun to deal with drama of property lines. Never any fun

A lot of stuff that’s in the ground here has been spending days at a time under water.

That’s what I was worried about when the red started creeping towards my arm.

I should have went and grabbed some welding gloves.

Thanks for the cat info. Never heard of that.

Ted Nugent wrote a song about it. 😊
The same bacteria is in dogs mouths to
dang man...... that made my hand hurt... lol It'll be nice to get the survey report and get her set on the right and wrong of it.....

Heal up, And keep digging bud.
Those type of people won't understand or respect the registered surveyor. The ignorance out there is tremendous
We have been dry in south ga until last night got 4 in am talking about rain all next week
I'm in middle Ga and we got a boat load too. Glad to see it too.
You can take some of ours.
Howdy, sorry to hear about your cat bite injury,

Oh it but me hard as hell.
Factory reset button.........Classic !
Two years ago I had mrsa/ staff infection in my right leg. Not fun to hear a doctor talking about cutting ones leg off
It's a messed up situation. . .
Survey stakes there must be actual corner markers
i just had that happen in december darn cat. get better soon
Not fun.

Years ago, my brother's wife was scratched on the arm by a cat. The bacterial inflammation was from the cat litter box. It was a friend's house cat.
cat scratch fever!! LOL been there myself.
Not fun.
Hope the Karen learns a valuable leason
Doubt she will till the cops show up.
Hey Ethan,,sorry about the Karen/Kevin issues. Stay after it. You'll win in the end.
Feel better Ethan.
Thanks.
Cat scratche fever
In Wyoming your landlord could make her pay for half of the survey.
Take care of yourself!
Try to
Hope you feel better!
Toxoplasmosis is what you can get from a cat bite. You are correct in that it can be dangerous.
Hurts like hell I can tell you that much.
It was fine thanks
It is a felony to move a survey stack
Is there anything you'd like to plant, but there is no market for it your area?
I do animal rescue, and its happened to me too. They prescribed me Cipro, and it was gone in 24 hours.
Since it got one tooth right in my knuckle joint I think that’s why mine got so bad.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy I noticed you didn't mention that dogs have the same bacteria in their mouth

Been in your same shoes with cat bite. I found Aleve is 10x better than ibuprofen.
Hm, stupid neighbours, and stupid cats ! It's never ends for you! Take care of you and get well
Good for the field line, but bad for the cat bite. Take good care of that!
Thanks.
I've never been bitten by a cat- good to know!
Knowledge is power.
I've heard that about cats.
Ethan hope your hand gets better soon
Thanks.
Not too hard to tell the property line there by the well established tree line. Looks to me like she has a ton of shit on buddy's property.
There is half a yard shed over the line to.
Jeez.Never knew that about cat bites.
The more you know.
MEOW!!!!...LMAO
Guy I worked for has 20000 acres. Getting some done,,not a ton.
Yeah, im not a big fan of amoxicillin, I have to take about a dozen of them if i go to the dentist. Not fun......

Most of what’s planted here is beans.
Like the song cat scratch fever
Seen there was a tornado up in your neck of the woods how are things? hope everyone is safe!
It all went north of us but it was pretty bad. Lots of major storm damage.
and cat scratch fever/ infection is a real thing.
Who knew.
Keep an ice pack to reduce the swelling, the antibody will fight the infection. Good luck!
Tried an ice pack. Didn’t really do anything other than make my hand stiff as a board. Heat made it feel better.

Another reason to like dogs and hate cats. Lol
Yep
