    Interesting! I was the exterior designer of all 981s and my colleague Martin Pohanka did the interior. I hope the car gives you great pleasure when fully sorted!

      It's already looking much better and we have about 10 videos coming up soon. I think 981 was the best out of all generations. Not a fan of 718 due to the engine replacement.

      Whoa! Cool to see your comment! You did such an incredible job with the 981. Over a decade later, and it STILL looks stunning and modern. Truly a timeless design you've come up with. Congratulations on the success with the 981, and thank you for you and your teams work! I'm planning on purchasing a 981 boxster sometime in the near future. Been wanting one ever since they were released, and finally making it happen!

      @@oHeihei Thanks. They're finally showing up around $20-$25k and you can't find anything cooler for that price tag.

    Just purchased a 2015 boxster base with 100k and the previous owners didn’t do much maintenance so i've spent 6k getting up to par. She is running amazing now. Very happy with my purchase.

      Congrats! We just put over 30k miles in 6 months on my 981 base and yes it took a lot of maintenance to get it where I wanted but it's totally worth it. Cross America videos coming up!

      Thanks! Subscribe and you will see it first. We just got it back from the first track day at Laguna Seca. Head to head with my NC Miata and I got shocking results.

    Hi I am from Hong Kong and liked your video! May I ask what if a 2013-2014 986 cayman with 30-50k km (usually low miles in Hong Kong) is it worth buying one? Just want to know is it a lot maintenance needed to be done for a 10 year old Porsche

    • @Beyond_Repair
      @Beyond_Repair  5 місяців тому

      Depends on current condition and history. If they parked for a long time you will be looking for the same amount of maintenance as they would have more miles. Your battery would need to be swapped and programmed, fluids changed, etc. It all comes down to the condition and the price tag.

      You can see the option in the service book. Every option has an own code.

      Found the website where I bought the sticker for $10. Turned out it has like $30k worth of options. Subscribe. I will also be talking about it and how important options can be since aftermarket parts prices are over the roof.

      Just $10 online and you get the sticker in 10 seconds.

    Great deal, these are amazing cars.

      Still have to edit over 10+ videos and it's much better right now. $24k together for perfectly sorted 981 with over $27k in original options and $80k original sticker. Not bad if you ask me considering that anything in CA costs a lot more than the rest of the country.

    consider ignition coils apart of filters and oil

    • @Beyond_Repair
      @Beyond_Repair  7 місяців тому

      I would have to buy them. This is like PDK pan with a filter inside and $500 price tag. One of those that you look at the price tag and try not to make it "the most expensive Boxster I could've bought" lol. Subscribe for more videos coming up!

    A lot less than My $125,000 2024 Boxster S special order. Nice Job 🎉

    3:40 Don't buy a new door card. You will just have the same problem. Get it properly fixed by Pedro's Garage.

      I'm in CA (Bay area). Would have to find someone locally. Hope it was not due to the airbag and will leave that for "later" since I got the whole list of more "important things do do" :)

      Not as bad as it looks. I have to edit over 10+ videos and it's much better right now. Also, I did not blow the budget, and if you consider the $18k price tag where we started + $2k taxes, etc + $4k in different parts = $24k together for perfectly sorted 981 with over $27k in original options and $80k original sticker. Not bad.

    You could have purchased a perfect 986, or a decent 987, why buy this 981 when it is going to require lots of work?

      Whre is the fun in that?

      I was looking for 981 specifically. Just like the design and features not to mention this is the last gen of flat 6 before they went with 2-2.5L turbo.
      In the next video, we will be talking about maintenance and fixes. It's not as bad as it looks. If you put some time you can get it sorted out as long as it's not a faulty PDK or bad engine. I saw a few 981 over the years with those issues and had to pass. That one mostly cosmetics and simple fixes. I filmed like 10 videos already and it's looking really good. Going to the first tack days and autocross now. Subscribe for more!

    Actually no its not the cheapest in the entire universe u fan buy it in dubai for cheaper for this amount of mileage

    • @Beyond_Repair
      @Beyond_Repair  15 днів тому

      Getting one below $20k is a pretty good deal in the US, but I'll tell you more. Here in CA, everything is 50% more expensive, and considering that, it was an even better deal. Thanks for watching! Please share and subscribe for new videos!

    There is no such thing as a cheap Porsche, you will pay the remaining to Porsche mechanics, buy cheap pay twice.

    • @Beyond_Repair
      @Beyond_Repair  7 місяців тому

      We will prove that in this video series, it is possible. At the moment we have about 10+ videos waiting to be published and the car is looking really good. Yesterday it went to a local Porsche dealership and passed 10 out of the 10 inspections.
      I took it as a challenge to see if it can be done on the budget and we will show everyone that's possible to have completely sorted 981 for less than 25k out of the door including all the taxes and even cosmetic fixes like wheels, shift knobs, etc. Subscribe and you'll see it!

      There is if you can work on them yourself. I bought a 986 8 years ago for £3600, it never went to a garage, I did 25k hard miles in it and it was written off a couple of months ago and I got paid out £3300 and kept the car to break. Will probably make £5k braking it.

      @robertwilson3556 They're not that complicated if you try to read the same page of the shop manual a few times lol. When you get a hang of it it all starts to make sense. Subscribe for more content coming your way. We just did the very first track day at Laguna Seca. That's my next video.
