That alone is a not solid and a rocky reason for why she would descend into mass murder. Dr. Strange is somehow the side character, America Chavez gets 0 development other than, trust ur powers, we don't even know how she got her powers and what kind of universe she comes from for further understanding. For a multiverse movie there was only one main verse which was the Illuminati, and than a small side quest into the evil dark hold Strange's world which lasted a grand total of 9 minutes. I left the movie extremely dissatisfied also because they decided to introduce huge Marvel Comics names and than have them be killed off in less than 5 minutes later. The gore was interesting but it just didn't feel like it was right. Like did Wanda really kill all of Dr. Stranges and Wongs students and the Illuminati over some chance at having kids? Why did Wong willingly go along with Wanda to show her to the origins of dark hold instead of just choosing to die and prevent her from being stronger? So many ridiculously obvious plot holes that make me even more angry at how people think this is a spectacular movie. Even Stevie Wonder could have told you this movie was not well done.

I know she was corrupted by the Darkhold, but I feel like one of the weaknesses of the film was that they didn't show that corruption phase well enough. I agree with the character thing, I wouldn't say there was no development however for a movie called Dr. Strange, his character arc seemed to be more of a side focus. I personally think wanda's arc was actually done quite well in the movie. The killing of the cameo characters didn't bother me at all because 1. they are from another universe which still allows for them to be present in 616 and 2. There was no concept of mercy with in those scenes and I like that they did that. America Chavez was a pretty annoying and there wasn't really any development with her which is another thing that brings the rating down considering her role in the movie. Finally I thought the pacing could have been a bit better and that could have benifited from having a longer run time to allow for more development of both the plot and the characters. Is it some top 5 marvel movie? definitely not but I thought it was really good nonetheless.
It also makes no sense because supposedly Wanda who is dream walking also is extremely nerfed when she's dream walking and she still absolutely destroyed the illuminati, which also is interesting because that illuminati defeated Thanos relatively easily especially compared to 616. So why wasn't full strength wanda able to absolutely obliterate Thanos with full power in 616?
In the comics black bolt isn’t a threat to thanos, not even to the hulk, so he was hyped power wise in dr strange. Took a new Thor to beat thanos, and this thanos was the strongest, durable villain they ever fought. Made a fat Thor bleed who died by a dwarf star…
imo it was a solid 8.5, pacing it felt like movie was a bit longer than just 2hrs so perfect, I liked the non stop rythm of the sequences, visual effects I saw movie in 3d and to me were peak except maybe couple moments, doc strange development kinda agree even tho I thought his relation with christine was enough, also story seemed pretty good, maybe wong and strange were a bit nerfed (especially wong) but other than this I thought movie was peak, america chavez had kinda 0 introduction and development but maybe its cause will be done in the upcoming movies since its mcu and everything is connected somehow, if the batmans a 9 then this a solid 8.5
Doctor Strange used to be in my top 5 favourite MCU characters but after this movie he really isn’t anymore. He’s a pretty lame, stupid, and weak arsehole and that’s a farcry from how he was in Infinity War where he was powerful, wise, and a bit mysterious which was the best portrayal of the character imho.
2:40I think we are getting a serotonin overdose of marvel movies, which aren’t as mind blowing anymore, the scenes we see are a mindfuck of cgi which aren’t as mind blowing to when we first saw scenes likes that in the MCU. Doctor Strange was so good because it was new and unique at the time, (and still is.) Until secret wars we won’t get another Endgame scene with every character we’ve grown to love together in a film, which I think after No way home, that’s all fans want to see. If you look past the fan service we’ve been getting, marvel have really been slacking since endgame and the movies and series we’ve been getting have been absolutely diabolical, with the exception of a few like No Way Home, Loki, Moon Knight, Shang Chi etc. I will always love the mcu for what it is but at the moment it’s looking pretty average. It has a good future ahead with the multiverse, and I don’t hate it or anything, but at the minute its a bit underwhelming and it keeps happening. It’s just this movie was anticipated to be a really enjoyable, by marvel and it really wasn’t.
Ok everything is valid except the cgi complaint if the cgi is actually good quality there's nothing wrong with it this is the 21st century get used to it already
I really wish we would have gotten more of a character ark with evil doctor strange trying topple everything the good strange ( our stange) is trying to prevent from happening. They really should’ve made the evil strange the main villain for this as it complement the fact that strange and his decision bringing chaos are inevitable. Strange literally facing “himself” would’ve been dope
Phase 4 sucks ass but I might give it a try just because of my love for Sam Raimi, I have recently rewatched Drag Me To Hell and I wish this guy made more movies... I know this movie will be good at best but damn I really want to shut down my brain on this one and just enjoy some of the visuals even though it won't be as good as The Batman.
just one example of fail was not slipping ghostrider staring at wanda in the 2nd to last portal. they could have so easily had him standing there staring at wanda setting up ghostrider vs scarlet witch. that would have been absolutely epic if they had added that there. it was a perfect opportunity.
Does anybody else not really like America Chavez? Not the actress cuz I think she was acted fairly well but she had almost no character in this movie. She was basically a plot device
Well we saw her memory of her parents being thrown away into a multiverse so I feel like this movie was just it Introduce her she’s a side character she can’t get a lot of development in a 2 hour movie where most of the development is Wanda and strange
@@markerwrld6217 i don’t know if any body else feel like this but when he say plot device I feel like she was bland zero personality boring and I don’t know if that comes from the actor or the writer or the comics or a mix
SPOILER So the kills of the illuminati characters and the feeling of sadness/disappointed about it seems understandable, but they're not the characters that we grew up with. It was fine to kill them off because it's likely we weren't going to see them again anyways. Also, they're just cameos and easter eggs. They didn't really contribute to the story, and they were more hurdles/obstacles in the flow of the story; a plot device. NWH's Tobey and Andrew, on the other hand, had important roles in the movie because they paralleled with the villains. They were important to the plot. Killing them off like how they did in MOM would be way more offensive. However, even if one of them gets killed in NWH after the build-up, it would be more fitting for the story because of the amount of development they received as characters.
@@bigboss-sr1py lol thank you for putting words in my mouth. Decent movie but definitely not the hype that it was supposed to be the next top tier MCU movie. Marvel seems to be leaning on fan service in their movies nowadays. Strange doesn’t even feel like the main character in his own movie and I feel like Thor Love and Thunder will be the same.
You can tell it wasn't gonna be good when dr strange has trouble taking down a basic tentacle monster lol. And yeah, no dr strange development. Just more simping over the girl.
Hmm, I dont think she was controlling them. I thought she just sent them. You could be right. But, still. Strange could have finished it off easily. The magic used in this movie was so basic. Nothing was cool or memorable. Imo of course.

I couldn’t agree more. Movie had some of the worst dialogue I’ve heard in a marvel movie. So many cheesy and corny lines. Some of the horror stuff was definitely cool and liked some of the stuff it went for but god the dialogue was just so bad to me. Did not hit for me at all. It is far below NWH and Shang Chi for me as far as phase 4 goes
I definitely agree with 95 percent but the illuminate were cameos like Toby and Andrew were not cameos as they were very important and of course lasted more than 5 min
Fun movie and good movie is a little different though. I have yet to see it but most people have been calling it mediocre and could have been better. I personally think Marvel has been on the downward trend since Infinity War. I can see it being a letdown though if you expected something else. I never understood why in Wandavision how they tried to justify her slaving an entire town of innocents. That part still doesn't make sense to me. Hopefully Love and Thunder is good. I have a feeling Thor won't feel like the main character in that movie.
@@friggyk she is more certainly a villain or anti hero to say the least. Every time I hear the line “they will never know what you scarified for them.” I cringe.
Spoiler: Don’t know what you said yet but for me it was a 8/10 I didn’t like American chavez I didn’t like that wanda commited suicide in the end because of love and friendship basically and I didn’t like that American Chavez could of made the movie way faster by just having confidence in her powers and all it took was dr strange saying that she should have confidence once but I liked everything about doctor strange and I especially liked him vs himself I also liked his zombie version I thought that was cool but I feel like they didn’t center the movie around him enough he felt more like a side character in his own movie and I liked that they killed people especially the Illuminati And I didn’t really expect a whole bunch of cameos I made sure to have my hopes low because it’s marvel and marvels always trippin but even with my hopes low it still felt underwhelming because there was only like 5 characters and they didn’t even go through multiple multiverses they only went through like 4 and only 1 of them had alternate super heroes besides doctor strange
BRO... Not to mention that those cameos and that action are not built and they happen an HOUR into the movie! HALFWAY THROUGH, THE MOVIE STARTS! 🤦🤦🤦 (I told myself that this movie would be my last chance for the MCU. It sucked. 😂)
Just like No Way Home, this was a shitshow. Me and the missus were watching it and we were both left disappointed. She's just over it because WandaVision soured her already and I'm pissed at all the crap they did to shit all over the characters. The visuals and directing is not the issue, the WRITING and the PLOT are. What they did to RR and BB was fucking awful.
Movie was sadly mid to me, Americas turning point from being completely useless to controlling her powers, Was too sudden for me, and strange didn’t even feel like the main character in the movie, he also seemed quite unserious during the movie, and marvel still putting in those jokes at the worst times, and to me wanda comitting die was so stupid to me, considering she was so eager to get her kids back, and yeah ik the dark hold was corrupting her, but the fact that she didn’t even try to fix herself, also her motives in the first place were also very stupid to me, wanting to get kids that never existed in her life and she only knew for the shortest time, also cameos could’ve been so much better, especially making them all completely useless, and the multiverse barely even being shown in the movie made it even more dissapointing
This is probably an unpopular opinion but I prefer the first doctor strange (2016) movie over this one. The first one, you could see the main character had a lot of character development. DS2 is the complete opposite. They just deconstructed him and the direction of the film was so contrived. A lot of people say it’s not good but I actually think it is a really good movie and is on my top 10 favorite MCU movies.
Man I just wanna say you're cool 😎 And you're right Maybe not about the Disney plus shows though 😂 phase four has a problem with terrible scripts 😉😇 And I love your tiktoks 😂
Honestly just kinda felt like the What of formula, no story no character arks just like what if like wanda wanted her kids and was low key evil. Also what if we introduce some big characters and kill them off in 5 seconds. Just kinda bland felt like a filler episode to a TV show
They messed up with this movie. If they didn’t waste the Illuminati, they could have used them for separate movies. We also didn’t see superior iron man. The movie was really brutal for a PG-13, Wanda was also the villian! This is horrible
I thought the movie was good. We're always looking for some sort of groundbreaking continuation of the MCU that's going to keep us talking for weeks even years, but I don't feel like this movie needed to be that. It's definitely set up some things for the future but I'm fine with the way it ended.
I liked the film, but i felt like i should've liked it more. There were a few ways that the film could have been resolved, but i have to remind myself that Wanda is being possessed by the darkhold (Evil book) and the fact that grief can make you ignorant sometimes. For instance Wanda could have gone to a universe where her made up kids are alive but her counterpart died so she can replace her with or without them knowing. She's so invested in her kids that she doesn't even bring up Vision. Lastly IDK how i felt about America chavez, it's not that i don't like her, it's just didn't felt interesting to me, i understand she's a plot device and she wants to see her parents again, she likes pizza but that's it.
I think now solo movie of marvel will just became vehicles for big event after big event or side interconnected things that wasnt really good either but it just lessen the impact and stakes tbh. Phase four is disappointing so far. Only like NWH and most of it just because past spiderman. Idk how to from here.
I think it’s just a you problem , I loved everything about it , even the illumanati getting humbled , I wished as they were going through Wanda story so much m they brought in Polaris and magneto .. but oh well . Hope ioan or John come back as reed
To me they made everyone weak/stupid to make Wanda look strong you don’t have to do that she already is strong and nobody had enough screen time to even care about everyone that Wanda killed
Mcu phase 4 is so disappointing like why are all these movies happening? Avengers are dead and there’s no real threat happening lol should’ve ended it after endgame and done some of reset in a different multiverse where new heros emerge
Their high budget is mainly on their bullshit crappy cgi fest. Ofc they don’t care about cameos. They just wanna show you how great of a cgi talent they have
6:22 SPOILERS So... what did you want? Did you want Wanda to kill other Wanda and then vaporize the kids? Like what else coulda possibly happened based on the trajectory of her arc?
this movie is a giant L aside from having a massive headache sitting through the outdated directing style, the visuals and sound design were all good HOWEVER this felt entirely like a Disney cash grab, they used characters that we loved from the FOX movies and Inhumans, What If series and just made them so WEAK , any of these mfs couldve killed Wanda or at least given her trouble but the only one Repping was Captain Carter, everyone else was nerfed and killed off. Funny how the only ones strong in this movie were the characters Disney introduced as their own from the beginning. STORYWISE this movie was just so slow. At least it took itself seriously, no comedy which is always good in a serious film. But overall Disney is a Big L and Wanda is a massive L
the dialogue in this movie was so bad at times everything that america chavez said was some kind of cringey mcu joke, and wanda’s sons acting was absolutely terrible it was hard to watch at times

Same, even tho i loved it, it still has problems.
The illuminati defeated Thanos with the all powerful magical book that strange was looking for
In the comics black bolt isn’t a threat to thanos, not even to the hulk, so he was hyped power wise in dr strange. Took a new Thor to beat thanos, and this thanos was the strongest, durable villain they ever fought. Made a fat Thor bleed who died by a dwarf star…
@@allpraiselordpeppa9461 Yet wandas still more powerful but comics and mcu so what's your point
I’m watching this movie this Saturday and I already feel like people let themselves down because they overhyped it
imo it was a solid 8.5, pacing it felt like movie was a bit longer than just 2hrs so perfect, I liked the non stop rythm of the sequences, visual effects I saw movie in 3d and to me were peak except maybe couple moments, doc strange development kinda agree even tho I thought his relation with christine was enough, also story seemed pretty good, maybe wong and strange were a bit nerfed (especially wong) but other than this I thought movie was peak, america chavez had kinda 0 introduction and development but maybe its cause will be done in the upcoming movies since its mcu and everything is connected somehow, if the batmans a 9 then this a solid 8.5
Looking back at this 2 years later, you realize how much Marvel tied their hands together and it just sucks bro
Doctor Strange was so good because it was new and unique at the time, (and still is.)
Until secret wars we won’t get another Endgame scene with every character we’ve grown to love together in a film, which I think after No way home, that’s all fans want to see.
They should have made it so that the evil doctor strange teamed up with Wanda
Phase 4 sucks ass but I might give it a try just because of my love for Sam Raimi, I have recently rewatched Drag Me To Hell and I wish this guy made more movies...
I know this movie will be good at best but damn I really want to shut down my brain on this one and just enjoy some of the visuals even though it won't be as good as The Batman.
Anything’s better than the batmid
@@strikebomber2944 The Batman was like 10X better than any MCU movie after 2019 lmao.

Don’t understand how in every fight no matter who with Dr strange always seems to get rag dolled always struggles.
This was a *DOCTOR STRANGE* movie, so they should've focused on his character arc and developing him as a character.
just one example of fail was not slipping ghostrider staring at wanda in the 2nd to last portal. they could have so easily had him standing there staring at wanda setting up ghostrider vs scarlet witch. that would have been absolutely epic if they had added that there. it was a perfect opportunity.
Doctor strange and the multiverse of Madness feels like a what if episode
Does anybody else not really like America Chavez? Not the actress cuz I think she was acted fairly well but she had almost no character in this movie. She was basically a plot device
Well we saw her memory of her parents being thrown away into a multiverse so I feel like this movie was just it Introduce her she’s a side character she can’t get a lot of development in a 2 hour movie where most of the development is Wanda and strange
@@markerwrld6217 i don’t know if any body else feel like this but when he say plot device I feel like she was bland zero personality boring and I don’t know if that comes from the actor or the writer or the comics or a mix
the fact that Sam raimi didn’t watch wandavison is just mind boggling.
SPOILER
So the kills of the illuminati characters and the feeling of sadness/disappointed about it seems understandable, but they're not the characters that we grew up with.
I never once implicated that they were killed off to make her cool, if anything, it was to show that she has become a villain through and through. Also, I'm not saying it wasn't at all disrespectful the way they killed off those characters. I know my friend really liked black bolt and he was disappointed about what happened to him. So hopefully we can see him in our mcu. But thanks for the input lol
@@heyhiheyho99 I never put words in your mouth I never stated that you said they just died to make her look cool what I stated is that you said they were just a simple cameo and then I said that they just kill them off to make her look cool ironically you're the only one putting words in people's mouths
Respect your opinion big bro! Keep doing you! 💯
This movie was like watching 1 clip on repeat for 2 hours.
Saw few marvel fans saying it’s top 5 mcu 💀
No
Decent movie but definitely not the hype that it was supposed to be the next top tier MCU movie.
This is one of the dumbest comments i have seen
Monsters were controlled by wanda so maybe the power leved depended on her?
Hmm, I dont think she was controlling them. I thought she just sent them. You could be right. But, still. Strange could have finished it off easily. The magic used in this movie was so basic. Nothing was cool or memorable. Imo of course.
@@andressaenz4803 the fight vs the dark strange in the end was pretty lit
@@ciccio89sium it was good but it was 3 minutes of good 🎶 🎼 🎵 then nothing to me that was a waste if that’s all they gone do they are to powerful to just have a 🎼 fight
Your honesty is why I love the content
I definitely agree with 95 percent but the illuminate were cameos like Toby and Andrew were not cameos as they were very important and of course lasted more than 5 min
*this movie was good IMO, it was a bit of a letdown but still fun regardless*
Fun movie and good movie is a little different though. I have yet to see it but most people have been calling it mediocre and could have been better. I personally think Marvel has been on the downward trend since Infinity War. I can see it being a letdown though if you expected something else. I never understood why in Wandavision how they tried to justify her slaving an entire town of innocents. That part still doesn't make sense to me. Hopefully Love and Thunder is good. I have a feeling Thor won't feel like the main character in that movie.
@@larry2281 *lol you CANT justify that west view bs, scarlet witch IS A VILLAIN lol, the way I see it, those stans can cry about it*

Spoiler:
Don’t know what you said yet but for me it was a 8/10 I didn’t like American chavez I didn’t like that wanda commited suicide in the end because of love and friendship basically and I didn’t like that American Chavez could of made the movie way faster by just having confidence in her powers and all it took was dr strange saying that she should have confidence once but I liked everything about doctor strange and I especially liked him vs himself I also liked his zombie version I thought that was cool but I feel like they didn’t center the movie around him enough he felt more like a side character in his own movie and I liked that they killed people especially the Illuminati And I didn’t really expect a whole bunch of cameos I made sure to have my hopes low because it’s marvel and marvels always trippin but even with my hopes low it still felt underwhelming because there was only like 5 characters and they didn’t even go through multiple multiverses they only went through like 4 and only 1 of them had alternate super heroes besides doctor strange

NWH was good tho
I agree with you on this movie but I liked NWH but if you didn’t like it I respect that
" Look at little Goblin Junior...gonna cry..?"
Get Raimi to direct The ultimatum story lol. gory deaths and shit are perfect for him.
Cuban's smile is cute ngl
It makes my nether regions engorge
I'm honestly so surprised by everyone saying it's mid???I genuinely enjoyed the movie from start to end besides some few hiccups here and there.
Few hiccups? Ha yea right!
Whatever dr strange in the multiverse of madness was good 👍
This is probably an unpopular opinion but I prefer the first doctor strange (2016) movie over this one. The first one, you could see the main character had a lot of character development. DS2 is the complete opposite. They just deconstructed him and the direction of the film was so contrived. A lot of people say it’s not good but I actually think it is a really good movie and is on my top 10 favorite MCU movies.
Man I just wanna say you're cool 😎
And you're right
Maybe not about the Disney plus shows though 😂 phase four has a problem with terrible scripts 😉😇
And I love your tiktoks 😂
Honestly just kinda felt like the What of formula, no story no character arks just like what if like wanda wanted her kids and was low key evil. Also what if we introduce some big characters and kill them off in 5 seconds. Just kinda bland felt like a filler episode to a TV show
Speak the truth KING!!!!
By far my favorite movie of the year loved the horror and the visuals were fucking amazing overall i loved it.
Stupid. That's not a reason
Bro Just had to bring a Batman reference into the video with 2 face 😂
This should have been called Wandaverse or something because she was really the main character and they didn’t really travel the multiverse
You look like a younger Burt Reynolds. If they ever make a movie about him you should definitely play him.
Damn, so Ryan Reynolds told the truth.
Loved the first movie won’t watch anything MARVEL after endgame. Except anything Spider-Man cause him and Batman are the goats of this shit
Bro, spoilers at 8:52 then give us spoilers at 1:40 and 2:30
They messed up with this movie. If they didn’t waste the Illuminati, they could have used them for separate movies. We also didn’t see superior iron man. The movie was really brutal for a PG-13, Wanda was also the villian! This is horrible
Yeah they completely underused the multiverse
Didn’t even seem like they used the multiverse
In short. The movie was Trash. Doctor Strange one was a way better movie. They made him & Reed Richards look incompetent in this film.
Every character in this movie could get torn to pieces on screen and I wouldn’t care.
I personally think that the movie as a doctor strange movie it was pretty good, but maybe not as a multiverse movie.
i personally loved it but it aint for everyone
This man is the best cause he's real!
I watched it twice. Definitely not just a him problem lol. This movie's writing/dialogue was horrendous overall.
@@bucknasty1999 thank you some one with a brain 🙏🏾

weak/stupid to make Wanda look strong you don’t have to do that she already is strong and nobody had enough screen time to even care about everyone that Wanda killed

why is he speaking spoilers about the plot from the start while saying it’s a non spoiler and only spoiler when he puts the time stamp
Mcu phase 4 is so disappointing like why are all these movies happening? Avengers are dead and there’s no real threat happening lol should’ve ended it after endgame and done some of reset in a different multiverse where new heros emerge

I enjoyed this movie it was a 8/10 for me
We could have gotten ghost rider in
Multiverse of madness
this movie is a giant L
aside from having a massive headache sitting through the outdated directing style, the visuals and sound design were all good
HOWEVER this felt entirely like a Disney cash grab, they used characters that we loved from the FOX movies and Inhumans, What If series and just made them so WEAK , any of these mfs couldve killed Wanda or at least given her trouble but the only one Repping was Captain Carter, everyone else was nerfed and killed off.
