I've never really watched the original YGO but out of all the characters on that series Tristan has to be the best. The way he talks is just great. I love him. And it doesn't help that I'm watching dub 5D'S so hearing Yusei is i just can't explain. All I can say is that I'm going super fanboy right now

There aren't really any meta decks that could abuse it. Vampires care about their own field spell, and Heroes and Blue Eyes need the Extra Deck to be good.

Yuri Lowell Yugioh VRAINS also shows how the Link mechanic will work in Duel Links. And the Pendulum zones are always the far left and Right S/T zones regardless of format. Face down cards won't be as affective in these decks which will lead to most Pendulum decks simply not running trap cards as much. (Which isn't an issue since even in the current game traps are rarely used out side of archetypes built around them like Altergeist and Paleos.)

I've only just gotten back into duel links and barely missed the aprils fools event but seeing clips of tristan around duel world was amazing. If I were a yugioh character it would probably be him, mostly because I kinda suck.
I think he meant about future summoning/gameplay mechanics. While I don't mind Syncro much, I hope xyz, pendulum, and links get held back for quite a while
I don't think the dialogue confirms that will be getting other summoning methods. It's quite common for games to have unused dialogue clips just in case. Not saying it's highly unlikely as much as it pains me to say it it'll probably be within a year or so that we get synchros but I highly doubt we'll get links for a long time.
Lets look at the bright side of the Link Monsters and Pendelum monsters being added eventually, They will be explained at the beginning when you can first obtain them, making it a bit less confusing, like they did with syncro monsters. And we will have access to firewall dragon, because it's duel links we are getting it because its an ace monster, and if this doesnt make you exited, Firewall dragon is broken. this is coming from someone who hates link monsters, someone has go agree with me
