You said UA-cam comments were bashing you for playing this on hard. I actually find it refreshing to watch a playthrough where the player is struggling. And like you said, the "desperation" really adds to the experience of this game. What I don't like are people who play on hard and/or rush through the game, missing a lot of ammunition and healing items, and then they blame the game for when they don't have any healing or ammo. I haven't seen you do that, so I have no issue with how you played this. Although you did miss a shit ton of stuff (including additional dialogue and lore) by not taking your time and exploring more.
I sort of agree. I’m usually the guy that explores everything for fun and gets a hang of controls pretty quickly. My years of playing games on the hardest possible difficulties have paid off, but it’s really interesting to see someone else’s perspective on puzzle solving, combat style, awareness, and in general, technique for playing a game. While Ive always been baffled by Maxs’ “Special eyes” it’s entertaining as the chat goes absolutely haywire. Just wish people would stop getting violent over it, no matter how hard or not the game actually is. I mean it’s not Black ops 3 Realistic difficulty, but it’s not exactly an easy game either. Plus him getting sick from the game isn’t exactly great xd.

it was an improvement over the original for me. Didn’t mind Maria running in front of you and didn’t mind her tripping. It was just better than to have her get stuck and get you a game over for dying, 10 seconds before actually dying. Plus it was still disturbing to hear his gigantic footsteps behind you, and Akita’s chase theme didn’t miss 👍🏻.
The hospital portion of the game was challenging in my playthrough. The nurses are tanky as hell and can perform a 3 hit combo. They can also grab and parry your swings. Plus the mannequin hiding around the corners and under a table or some shit quickly chip away my ketchups.

Wow, Hospital became so long and stressing, but challenging and dramatic also. It's a struggle just the way through until you have beaten the boss and yet you still have to confront more areas. If was scary to me as a mere spectator I can imagine the level of distress Max had to afford. Great remake, I feel so happy that we can see it back again and with full force.
I'd go a step further and say it out dose the original in almost every way, to the point I feel like THIS is exactly what SH2 would have been if it was made today and not in the 1990's.

I honestly think Hard mode sucks for this game because this isn’t a combat game yet the enemies have a massive health boost and the camera shake just makes it annoying, hell it even shakes when you die lol.

Yep, camera in this game has some problems. And altough I think that parts of it is intentional, it is just not that good implemented. The camera shake is one thing, but something that you don´t notice as much while playing is the fact that the camera is constatly adjusting, zooming in, out in ways that are too abrupt. All of that combined with small spaces, and fast camera adjustments because of those manequin ambushes....like the perfect storm. Is one of those thing that we give for granted right? playing RE feels like there is no camera. And then you try something with a bad camera implentation and BOOOM..."let me put a fan in front of my face". But then again, RE has no melee. Funny enough, now that I think about it...This game has more action than the RE remakes. That's not right
But is also the way max plays. He is sabotaging himself every time he turns the camera 180º and every time he pans the rooms looking for loot. Max needs to relax character's movement.
