You are one of the few channels on youtube focusing on logic behind maths etc., and you need recognition. I've just finished cs university mostly using math formulas by memory and some logic but now im redoing everything ,from scratch with different sources, for in depth understanding. Thanks for giving me motivation and do continue explaining, you're awesome!

I was either lazy, too dumb, had bad teachers + enviroment or a combination of those to not understand such simple concepts when i was in school ... Who would of though you would need these to understand far more complex things later on in Uni like Fourier Series, Machine Learning and so much more ( everyone would of though ) . Better late then never is a motto i like to beleive in, thank you for this quick lecture

I did trigs from secondary school and currently during my engineering math courses. I felt that somehow I did not learn basics thoroughly and this proves it. Yes its understandable that teachers and lecturers are pressed for time and cannot attend individually all the time to each student however this student is denied a proper foundation which will catch up with them at the higher levels. I decided to re - learn trigonometry from scratch not just for my benefit but may in later years to come there will be someone who is new to trigs and would appreciate someone who can show them within a different context to make it more understandable so that they have more confidence approaching the subject.

Radians being angles measured as the distance traveled along the circumference in in respect to the radius..................
I used to hate trigonometry because I had to learn so many numbers by heart and it didn't make sense to me. It was not the teacher's fault. I just didn't pay attention back then... Glad I came across this!

trig has always been difficult for me because most people learn math by memorizing, and a lot of college professors are used to expecting that from students. Me, I cant memorize a formula or a sequence of steps if my life depended on it, but if you make me apply math in things like economics, statistics, or discrete structures, I can figure it out very quickly on the first try.
I have found that a lot of teachers and students who are used to having normal memory rely on it a lot and find it almost impossible to teach trigonometry to someone like me in a way that doesnt involve a lot of memory. This video has been very helpful in understanding what im doing while doing trig

Note: sometimes cot (x) is not equal to 1/tan (x) because of domain. Cot (pi/2) is not 1/(pi/2) because of domain of tan(pi/2). Then one must use cos (pi/2)/sin (pi/2) to calculate tan (pi/2).

I find math so interesting but when my HS teacher covered this stuff she did it in the least in depth and thought provoking way possible. She basically just said “memorize this” or “put this in your calculator” so I turned my brain off and stopped paying attention. That definitely is kicking my ass as I get through higher and higher math classes so videos like this that are concise and informative with good depth are a god send. Thank you so much !

once you did the Pythagorean theorem you will y^2= 8 take the sqrt of both sides then you'll get where y= -2 (sqrt(2)) only negative because it is in quad 3 so cos and sin are negative which makes tan pos
