GPIC 2023: Side event - Alternative source of fundraising & blended finance

The session focused on fundraising within blended finance structures to draw private sector capital for climate investments. Given the current funding gap, particularly in climate adaptation, there is demand for custom financing approaches. The panel explored strategies to engage diverse investors in fundraising, spotlighting the Infrastructure Climate Resilient Fund as a case study. The goal is to accelerate fundraising for climate-focused projects by leveraging innovative blended finance methods.
