Another awesome family vacation and Hawaiian food vlog. The Luau food and entertainment looked spectacular. I have to stop watching your video before bedtime because I get hungry and need a snack 😂
Can't believe didn't notice Lesley on the previous video. Glad to see she joined you on this family vacation. Thank you Bill and Lisa for taking us along on all your journeys and brining so much fun and joy into our lives! Happy New Year!!!! Note, I'm planning to be in LV in a few days so if you are going to make it there this week let me know!
The food looks so delicious at the Aulani luau and the entertainment so fun! Hope you continue to enjoy many more special family moments like these. ❤ Happy New Year to you and your family, Bill & Lisa! 🥳🎉 ❤Arlene
Looks like a really fun vacation. Happy Birthday to your sister Linda and son Christopher. Food looked delicious. The luau looked like a lot of fun. Love all the Disney characters. Thanx so much for sharing. Happy New Year.
This video was so fun to watch! I loved every minute of it. The Luau looks absolutely incredible and my sisters and I will 100% be going to it on our next trip back. But we’ll be staying at Queen Kapiolani Hotel, it’s our favourite. Thanks so much for being us along, really enjoyed this one so much❤
I loved the video very much, what a loving family you are and Erin is looking soo good.Happy Newyear to you all with much love and happiness and much more videos for us to come👌..love from Holland 🥰🥰🥰
Bill and Lisa, Thank you for making this vlog. I really enjoyed seeing a luau. Looks like it was lots of fun and great entertainment. Oh yes lots of yummy food.
Not sure if you have time to try the P.C.C. on the other side of the island, it is almost from noon to around 9 pm with dinner and show. One of the best ways to spend a day with many things to do.
Aloha Bill and Lisa: Thank you for taking us along on journey to Roy’s for lunch, the Aulani luau, and the breakfast at the Aulani resort. All the food looked “ono” and appealing. We got to me this afternoon was the fresh poke and kalua pork. Just thinking about the enjoying those dishes made me feel warm-in-spirit. The luau was worth the price - entertainment was excellent, and food was awesome. Looking forward to you next adventure! Best wishes for he new year- “Year of the Dragon.” Much 🧧and 🤙!
Great to see a different kind of Luau besides the famous Paradise Cove! I was surprised to see that the poke table was not chilled in a tray of ice @12:20 Love your perspective on this luau!
Went to that Roy's with friends staying at their Marriott time-share. The BEST Roy's is the one in Hawaii Kai! I've been to many, and none have come close to the original Roy's. Tip, order all the appetizers for your meal and always get dessert.😋 You guys always make the Aulani look so good!
Come up the coast and visit us at Roy's at Spanish Bay. We love both lunch and dinner there. One of my favorites is poke with tempura avacado fries.....
What a fun video guys!! We attended the Aulani Luau in April, thought it was great too! 🌺 There’s a really well done, family friendly and less expensive Luau in the Waimea Valley called TOA Family luau. Very good food, lots of fun pre-luau activities for the kids and gorgeous location…y’all should check it out next time you’re on Oahu! 🌴🌞🌈🌊
I've been watching you guys long time, happy new year saw you in PDX airport , didn't say hi bec nervousr, I was in your video thou, I'm the janitor at PDX airport, love your Hawaii and Las Vegas trips..thank you happy omerito gozaimasu...happy new year 🎊🎊 see you soon..😅😅😅😅🎉🎉🎉
What a beautiful vacation Bill and Lisa, your sisters, your children I think you were missing one or two kids if I could ever get my husband to go to Hawaii I would definitely go to Aulani luau thank you for sharing and I love the pictures of all your families
So much fun oh my gosh! I love he Luau that is just awesome, the food and the people dancing looks so fantastic I want to experience it once before I kick the bucket lol. Happy New Year to you Bill and Lisa and all your family xoxo HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA 🎉
Iʻve loved dining at Royʻs since the original restaurant opened in Hawai'i Kai in 1988! I remember for my birthday, i ordered a triple seafood special (opakapaka, ahi, and scallops) for only $30! I've also eaten at the ones in Waikiki and Ko Olina (where I also celebrated my birthday).and in Ka'anapali on Maui. BTW, your Japanese pumpkin soup was "kabocha" not "kombucha," the fermented black tea drink. I've never been to a lū'au for tourists (though many prepared by family and friends for special occasions), but the Aulani lū'au experience (food, show, activities) looks great. As a local resident, I wouldnʻt pay that much, but for visitors who can afford it, it looks better than others Iʻve seen online or heard about from people who work at them. Mahalo for sharing!
Great video! Thanks for providing so much information! Have next year booked for MVC Ko Olina at Christmas but thinking of going to luau at Aulani since you don't have to be a guest to attend.
You know how we do, we'll tell you guys any pro tips as it happens and anything funny/outtake, we'll put as the lead-in to the video. 'Best of' is something that sounds fun, but honestly, after the video is put together, I erase all the video files and what you see on UA-cam is all that's left. Happy New Year!
agreed, probably the best luau. Spacious. Free tatoos. Doing hula with Mickey and Minnie who could top that. They skipped that imu (underground oven) ceremony. Imu's are okay for backyard luaus, but commercial luaus don't usually have imu's that's presentable. From your video, the buffet is awesome. Naturally as a local I don't go to commercial luau's. Price wise even $50 more ain't worth quibbling about for most visitors who rarely experience luaus.
Nice family photo. My family is in town, so we are going to treat ourselves to a 2 night stay at the Aulani! We are all so excited to check it out and go to Monkeypod Kitchen, just like Bill and Lisa. Lol. Any other suggestions on what to do at the hotel besides the lazy river and Ulu Cafe? Have a wonderful New Years Eve/Day! Looking forward to your adventures in 2024!
That's sounds awesome, Carol! Just enjoy the resort from the calm lagoon, to the many pools and jacuzzis, live music at night, and tasty eats. You'll get a list of daily activities and don't forget to check the Aulani app for daily character meetup schedules. Happy New Year!
I went to Germaine's Luau by the Barbers Point Lighthouse several years ago. The food at Aulani looked better. I loved having a coastal Lighthouse view, but wasn't wowed by the food or entertainment aside from the fire dancers. Next time I go to Oahu I'm going to have to check out the Aulani Luau! Can we nickname Bill Sugarlips now?🤣
There's a retro store inside the Moana Surfrider Waikiki (next to Duke's). Forgot the name, but you can easily find it on the resort's website. They might have a website too. Hope this helps.
You guys much be rich thinking $183 per person is reasonable for a luau. The food did not look expensive. And then $50 per person for breakfast. I can only imagine the hotel costs on top of that. Glad you can do it.

I don’t know I wouldn’t spend my money at Roy’s Just saying But I’m glad you’re happy and you keep us informed. Thank you but I would send a letter to Roy

Thanks for the comment. Yes on the kabocha, that's what she meant, it's her LA accent. haha. Happy New Year!
Disney done the right way. Mahalo!!

Right??!! So ono!
Hey Bill & Lisa...if by chance you decide to adopt another family member, please keep me in mind! 🤪🤙
Will do, Scott! lol

Team Malasada
Loco Moco had to be invented by someone drunk and hungry because it's something I would make late at night after a party and devour! lol
Where is the spam visor from?? I neeeeed it!!!
From the SPAM museum in Minnesota. They might have an online store.
@@billandlisa thank you soooooo much!!! We’ve got a family full of spam lovers! I hope you guys are having a great new year so far🤍

Hi Daniel! Might be both. lol Night shots not so good on our iPhones, sorry about that.
I think Linda is the real dish in this video
👍👍👍🥂🥂🥂🤙🤙🤙

You should’ve sent the hamburger back and Roys 🎉and have them put it on fresh bread for the price you paid I know how much that place cost
True, but too much humbug. lol
You guys much be rich thinking $183 per person is reasonable for a luau. The food did not look expensive. And then $50 per person for breakfast. I can only imagine the hotel costs on top of that. Glad you can do it.
Love the video but $183pp for a luau no no no. I think I’d skip that.
Leslie is always on her phone
I mean linda
I love everything you guys do, but I will critique this restaurant Roy’s. If it wasn’t for your friends birthday, there would be no event or no eventful. Anything the food was embarrassing for lunch the fact that you got a stale bun regardless, if it’s a bottom of the top I would’ve returned it and let them know, the plate with the rice and the seaweed they overloaded the plate with the cheapest things and gave you basically nothing to eat the soup I’m not too sure about cause I wasn’t there to eat it but maybe that’s the only sustenance you really had and as far as the crispy brussels sprouts go, anyone can cook them to the easiest thing and if you stop and think they really weren’t exciting looking so Happy birthday but maybe you can find another place I think Roy should only stick to dinner or stick to dinner and lunch only in very crowded places. I don’t know I wouldn’t spend my money at Roy’s
Just saying
But I’m glad you’re happy and you keep us informed. Thank you but I would send a letter to Roy
bacon isn't even cooked!!
Would've liked it more crispier too. It was the stale bun though that was the major bummer.
As much as it’s cool to see Mickey and other Disney characters, they don’t belong at a luau that celebrates Polynesian culture. Paradise Cove and Chief’s Luaus are more authentic.
Mickey and Minnie (the only 2 characters that appear) only make an appearance for this one song and dance. Nothing else in the show is 'Disney'.
@@billandlisa
Lūʻaus hould be strictly Hawaiian / Polynesian in my opinion.
Not injecting anything from the Mainland, or Disney-related, into any of the Lūʻaus helps to keep them all real.
@@SuiGenerisAbbie👏100%
It being a Disney resort I think it’s ok to include 2 characters in one song to keep the children entertained.
Why not include Mickey and Minnie? Sounds weird to hear that they should not be there.
