I am a lean consultant in Brazil, and reccomend all my clients to learn Lean watching Paul Akers videos. If they do so, they do not need my consultancy.

The movie quote I use the most at work is "assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups" (kudos if you know what movie this is from). This video shows the exact opposite. Good process every step of the way, absolute minimal chance of fuck-up. Love it.

Thank you Paul for the sharing always appreciated...in a constructive mindset, I think the word "rigour" should be used more often in these videos

Pat I looked up the word I'm familiar with it but I wanted to make sure I clearly understood the definition........ Rigor is many things. It is dissatisfaction with uncertainty, with inaccurate answers, with unprecise measurements, with the spread between the plus and the minus. Rigor is also being methodical commitment to experimental procedure, to the need of controlling all parameters that can affect the results of our tests.
Pat I think you're right I will do my best to try to incorporate this word into my thinking

Sounds very top down and almost like a dictatorship :( I hope I am wrong though and those guys are really engaged instead of just doing as told by the man

They are very engaged. That is one of the reasons I go to Japan to learn from them. You also may want to check out my follow up book to 2 Second Lean: Banish Sloppiness. paulakers.net/books/banishing-sloppiness All electronic versions are available for free.
