    Thanks for ur information.i think u must clear about neg: pressure,companion pump pressure,pilot pressure and proposanal valve function.so its clear and easy to understand.

    Hello Hari! I would like to know if this regulator will bypass the solenoid and computer in the excavator? The excavator is a Cat E312 and the monitor has failed with part of the programming! So I am tired of constantly repairing electronics that will only fail again! If this system will make the pump run efficiently on full manual then I am pleased because I have already gotten a quote on a regulator!       Hi Nicholas, for a hydraulic pump to function properly, it needs these 3 main controls.
      1. Pressure signal from the control valve (pilot line from Negacon or flow sensing valve)
      2. Cross summation or Torque Summation from the mate pump (these are internally connected passages mostly).
      3. Electrical Signal from ECU for proportional solenoid to prevent engine stalling.
      I think you are talking about the proportional solenoid(various OEM have different names like Electronic displacement control or Powershift valve).
      The function of the proportional solenoid is to prevent engine stalling. I don't have CAT circuits. More the current given to the solenoid it will allow more flow. The purpose of this solenoid is to prevent engine stalling when overloaded. Given that other factors are okay pump can run without any power supply to this solenoid. You can try it out by removing the power supply to this solenoid.
      Also, connect a pressure gauge through T-piece to the pilot lines going into the regulator and check whether the pressure varies with movement of the joystick. In a negative flow control unit more the joystick movement u will get less pressure to the regulator and more flow from the pump (that's y it is called negative flow control).
