This wonderfully nostalgic video takes me back to the early Sixties... my grandparents lived in Brunswick Square... So many happy memories.... The Carnivals,Fishing from the pier, paddling in the pools and catching shrimps with the push net... Thank you so much for taking me back to my childhood days of Herne Bay holidays...🧡🌊🧡
Would be so great to see the pier fully restored to how it originally was. Unfortunately I can't see it happening given the cost and especially as it is and has been maintained by councils do I have to say more!
Did a delivery out there last week, first-time visitor, last job of the day so took the obligatory stroll along the prom w/ bag of chips, and had to stifle the urge to ask locals what it was, knowing they were prolly sick of explaining and i could Google it when i got home.. YT's been recommending videos about it ever since! Also the Maunsell forts, Medway Queen etc., all fascinating local history, thanks for sharing! PS You have a beautiful town and i wouldn't change a thing! Lovely little quintessentially English resort, a real gem!
