    I am so happy I found your channel! I really appreciate that you don't add music or other nonscense to your videos. You explain everything so clearly and concisely, and don't make it seem overwhelming or complicated. I am very confident I can replicate everything I watch you do. You are a wonderful teacher, thank you so much for making these great videos!

    I love this stitch! I used a really bulky, soft yarn to make a blanket for my granddaughter and used this stitch for the whole thing. The yarn is so soft and tis stitch made the blanket even more poofy and soft.

    I love your version of the Bubble Stitch. When I first learned how to drop my stitches to (K#B), it would have been helpful if someone mentioned to use a crochet hook. I can't tell you how many times I accidentally dropped the last stitch that was intended for (KB). As i watched your video. I admit i felt a little stupid for not thinking of the crochet hook as my friend. Lol. I love your videos! You make it easy for us novice knitters. I think many novice knitters wish they could sit and knit with you. I sure do!!!! Thank you again for all your awesome videos. ❤ ❤ ❤

    So I made a hood for the start of my hooded scarfs I'm doing for my boys that will have pockets in the end of the scarf.. I'm just wondering if I could do the scarf part in a different stitch that will look good with the bubble stitch I have two boys and I'm afraid of I do all bubble stitch they wont be able to wear them this year.. I love this stitch and all your videos your my favorite!

    • @JoannesWeb
      @JoannesWeb  5 років тому

      One idea: Make the bubble stitch only in the pockets. That way you use the stitch and continue with another one on the rest of the scarf. Make sure you add seed stitch or garter at the edges, to keep the scarf form rolling.

    • @JoannesWeb
      @JoannesWeb  8 років тому

      We'll try to fit it in. But I can tell you that if you need to add or take off stitches, do so without the "bubble". That means, you don't make the bubble unless you have the number stitches required to do so. You just keep knitting jersey or straight stitch. I do recommend to use this stitch on straight pieces, like scarves, shawls, throws...

I self taught myself to knit the basics a few days ago and perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself but I was so excited to learn!! The only trouble I'm having is when you talked about the right and wrong sides.. what did you mean by that? Do i flip the project over? Thanks so much!! Definitely subscribed!!

    • @JoannesWeb
      @JoannesWeb  9 років тому +1

      Alayna Lewis Hello! So glad you are knitting! There are 2 sides on your work. The one that will show and the wrong side. The bubbles side is the right side. Sometimes the stitch allows the work to be reversible but you should always have a right side so that you know when to change stitches, colors, etc. Normally the right side are odd rows: 1,3,5,7... Be well!

    I see that your edges (sides) are curling, I get this. How do you correct this from happening.
    I am a returning knitter, after not knitting for 30 years, I am teaching myself how to knit again.

      You knit 3 or 4 stitches on the sides. (garter) knit in the front and in the back. That way it will not curl. You still need to block something like this. Wash it or dampen it and let it dry flat on a towel.

      Thank you for this information, I will give this a try. I have found that doing a slip 1 stitch at the start of each row has helped this issue. Have you ever tried this?

      You can make your own pattern. Make a swatch and measure it.
