I have the HLA with Black Dial with Yellow Band. And I must say that this is one of my favorite watch. It does feel good on the wrist and I use this watch when I’m swimming. Even under water I can clearly see the watch and know what time it is. And it just feel like a great summer watch.
Here’s the thing, you can get a Deep Blue Master 1000 automatic with a ceramic insert and sapphire crystal for $149 in many colors. This watch doesn’t look like the seconds hand hits the marks and the bezel looks off. Take a look at the Deep Blue. It’s got much better specs for less money than the sale price of this watch.
Ah man. It's an automatic. I continuously find myself paying a premium for a quartz dive watch. Seems like a luxury nowadays. Fair I guess, hassle free, reliable, accurate....
Thanks Chris for a great job on your opening video. I see some speak of he second hand lining up and I've found if a second hand lines up on a minute track at some spots on the dial it will not do so all around the dial. This watch is manufactured in a dust-free temperature and humidity controlled clean-room environment and you do not see this at this price point. The quality is baked in. A master watch maker opened it and reported he was not able to see even a speck of dust inside the case. The company has had only two water issues in 5 years (beyond outstanding!) and runs below 1/2% defect rate, but quite remarkable. FYI - The blue dial is an enamel dial which adds some visual pop.
I live at the beach and this would be a great watch for when I am catching some rays and cooling off in the sea. I haven't checked out their website, do they sell upgrades to sapphire crystals?
The "giftshop vibes" and overhype marketing from the time concepts site kinda puts it a meh for me. I wished that they would be more transparent by how much percentage the proceeds pledged, goes back to HLA. If its going to be priced at 250bucks (and 40bucks for the straps) , the HLA should receive at least 50% of the price of each watch sold because HLA deserved it for the work they do. The seemingly mis-aligned secondhand to the markers.. doesn't do justice. Chris, You did a good vid but that watch's certain flaw spoils the first impressions. I am sure the watches' varied looks n its multiple colored rubber straps gives some good potentials. They should had given you a better specimen to review.

I like these HLA watches. They look well made. Would be a slam dunk @ $199.
I’ve recently come to appreciate a fun quartz grab-and-go watch. I’ll definitely check this out.
Very cool. Looks like a solid quartz diver. 🤘🏻

Nice, great video
That's cool looking timepiece
If I'm going for a Quartz diver its Scurfa all the way. Best bang for your buck Quartz there is IMO.
This is exactly what I was thinking.
Yes ! Yellow one for me ! 🥂 Cool piece 😎👌
Definitely has some Citizen Promaster Diver elements, without a doubt
Very interesting watch. Maybe a 39mm size would be better.

maybe it's just my eyes , but the second hand doesn't line up with the minute track
I’ve watched a bunch of reviews on these watches and I haven’t seen one that lines up they all click in between the seconds lines
