I have just downloaded and played the demo on the Switch with the hubby and this is a very nice and fun game! I wish we each had our own boat though, just to mention something that could be improved.
I pre-ordered this when it just got announced because we absolutely loved Cat Quest 2. And tomorrow is my wife's birthday, which is the same day as this game's release date, she'll be happy.
Cat quest 2 was wayyy better than I thought it would be..I played it with my daughter thinking it would be a cool kids game...and it was..but it was also a challenging arpg at times.. super excited for this one.. really good review guys.. I enjoyed it
Thanks for the review, but I was hoping for more details on the co op gameplay. Does the 2nd player earn separate xp and loot? Do they keep the stats/equipment across all sessions on the save file or is it resetted every time you load up the game? What about loot, do both players share it? What about enemies, do they scale in numbers, health, damage?
Its not purfect. only ONE player gets to have the dodge attaxk ability. Which is really a basic ability. Really isnt fun at all having only 1 player able to do the most important move in the game.

Yeah that's part of what we meant when we said the ship combat is a bit lacking. But rest of the game is awesome, you guys will have a blast!

Played the 2nd one and it's really good. Suprisingly deep considering how it looks.

You share XP and loot, keep the stats/equipment across sessions, not sure about enemy scaling. Hope this helps :)
The main problem is the guidance system. Don't know where the main missions are which is very annoying
