One of my friends had a Karakuri deck back then, I have so many memories fighting them! I still remember all of these plays even now, very nostalgic. Thanks for making the video.
And he’s back!!! Hope you had a great holiday with family Joe! Thanks for another amazing video can’t wait for more!!! Best yugioh channel on youtube!!!
I was quite taken aback by the new intro, it was pretty loud. Karakuris are a deck I enjoy quite a bit, but Chimeratech just makes it miserable to play sometimes. I tried Fiendish Chain for a bit, because it's a "good trap card" that does something if your opponent already has monsters on the field. But ultimately I feel like every defensive card in the deck has to answer Cyber Dragon, so I switched to Bottomless and Warning.
I like playing forbidden lance in this deck as it lets you push your plays through against backrow. I am also a fan of instant fusion into cybersarus as an "extender" to help further your plays. Glad to see you uploading again!!!
I am not sure if it's still on considering they deleted the tweet, but it looks like Konami was wanting to host a team 3v3 Time Wizard with Goat, Edison and Tengu Plant.
Ill keep it a buck tho. This build some cheeks. 3 maxx c in main is wild. Fiendish chain is really bad especially in karakuri bc it doesnt out thunderking. 3 cydra is way too cloggy 2 is the max. Also no haipa feels bad as a free recruitable out to thunderking. 3 genex nuetron also gets rolled by tking. In other words - all them useless cards + as many outs to thunderking as possible. No flame of course.
Playing 3 Maxx "C" maindecked, playing Fiendish Chain, playing 3 Cydra, not playing Haipa, and playing 3 Genex Neutron all choices Jeff Jones made at YCS Columbus. Plus Dale and Anthony were both playing triple Fiendish Chain and Neutro while not playing Haipa at YCS Toronto. So a deck that he told us would be an amalgamation of those three player's decks making those choices as well fits. Those were the choices the top players of the deck at the time made.
@robkek1285 I understand Joe's reasoning for presenting this build in the video. However, that doesn't change the criticism im giving the build. In modern iterations of tengu, this list would likely not perform well. I'm simply sharing my thoughts on the historical list being presented.
holy guacermoley merry christmas

Just found this channel yesterday and thought this project was dead... so glad to see that you're back!

It’s always a great time when Joe uploads 💪🏼
Now that‘s a nice late Christmas present!

Hey welcome back! Funny that whenever you seem to upload, it's a deck I'm currently writing about haha
The legend himself! MC and HNY to you and the family, Joe. 🎉
My favorite Christmas gift so far
Milord. You've returned to us 🙏
fav deck of this tengu plant format thanks joe
This was my first deck getting back into YuGiOh back in this era. You could absolutely explode into 3-5 syncro on turn 1. I liked the KMP variant.
What is KMP?
@@beatsbyash Karakuri Machina Plant.
Thanks God, love to see your videos
Love these deck breakdown videos!
I remember I quite liked instant fusion in this deck.

The saga goes on
Legend
favorite good deck the list isn't really seeing much play in tengu plant format tourneys more people are going for instant fusion variants
I have to ask Joe what is your personal favorite format retro wise ??
Was Cyber Dragon a more popular sideboard card back in the day because a deck like Tengu Plants was too prohibitive price wise?
🔥
Main decking max c is suss, even more so at 3
almost nobody main decks maxx c in this format. its useless vs most decks tbh. It's just really good against a handful of decks.
@@PheonixT-ki8rx yeah, that's what makes it sus
It is what Jeff did at YCS Columbus and Joe told us this deck would be at least in part based off his deck from that event.
Karakuri anatomy is busted in this deck.
New videya and its tengu plant? Oh Sweet wampum.
