Fleeing from the WLF takes it for me . Its full if andrenaline. You trying to evade the wolves in backyards jesse is on another part of Hillcrest and you can actually hear the wolves chasing him while you try to reunite with him . There are so many things going on in the same time. One of the most action pacted moments of the game
24:44 damn, forgot that naughty dog are actually really good at making good combat music. Gustavo's amazing pieces for the cutscenes and story moments kind of make you forget the combat music is also great.
Dude, escaping the three WLFs in that basement, and then killing that one WLF in the hallway before just booking it towards the end of that section (where you meet up with jesse) with this blaring in the background is legit one of my favourite moments in the game.
@@SidPhoenix2211 yes while you fight your way through backyards you can hear the wolves chasing jesse and saying things like we've surround him , he went in that building and stuff .while you try yo catch up with him . @@tiernanmcculloch Just got the Plat recently, only issue is my touchpad no work so bought another controller from amazon. But can’t wait to finish the game fully again. Such an unmemorable experience.
@@earlysteven123 yeah the story and storytelling definitely was NOT as good as the gameplay. The first game was very straight forward, simple, and made sense. This story is contrived, bloated and doesn’t really make sense alot of the times (Abby, Joel/Tommy being so off gaurd, Manny’s forced personality, and seraphites being as big and backwater as they are only 25 years after civilization declined) I still think aspects of the story were good in part 2 but by God they just can’t compensate for the rest of it.
I know, I’ve been looking for the truck theme for forever. I heard it at the perfect moment too, when you and Jesse tag team a stealth kill, and the most memorable part (to me) is the slightly out of toon piano chords that play every 2 beats.
And that's saying something for what was probably the tensest human against human sequence w/i the game. You literally spend the first half of the day fighting a platoon's worth of WLF soldiers only to stumble into something infinitely worse.
Dogs of War. All the way. Although simple compared to the others, the resonance that just kinda hangs in the air and the muffled beat that ping-pongs from left ear to right, it all comes together SO well. It really makes the space feel like a mere skirmish on dead lands where the only thing you're fighting for is to see another day. Bravo, Quayle.
imma say its musically the most underrated part of this chapter in the game, the bells alone create such a haunting feel as you hunted by dogs and militants armed with mini 14's lmao
Who does, Gustavo or Mac? Because I think Naughty Dog would have control over what songs are released. At the very least Bethesda has control over what songs are released from their games, seeing as they STILL haven't officially released Doom Eternal's soundtrack nearly a year after the game's release.
Probably it's gonna happen like The last of us 1, There's two soundtracks volumes, one for the principal game and the other one for the DLC and Unrealeased themes
@@Equinox4O7 It has to do with track numbers. There's be dozens upon dozens of tracks in an album for games/films if every single track was released. There's already a heap of them in this playlist alone. Many of them are variations of the same track(s) and a like 60 song album would be unappealing to many listeners, they usually handpick the dozen or so that the composers feel especially proud of.
@@Void-by3ti Good point but I find it weird how there's so many people ripping unreleased tracks. Probably because there are tracks that are popular that aren't released.
