Never microwaved it but when I smoke blunts I hold a lighter a few inches from it, like not having the flame touch the wrap/blunt, to help seal it and dry it out but found that sometimes it felt like it tasted better. Might be a similar thing to the microwave but a little safer where you have more control over it and don't reek up an appliance lmao

Microwaving your bud is the best way to render it completely useless. Done it many times before when I used to grow, got impatient and nuked some nugs, they taste and smell like a bail of hay in a horses shed.
A friend was impatient, he would dry ounces in the microwave. People still bought his weed and were happy with it. The weed was harsh because all the chlorophyll, it totally ruins the smell. Having said that the THC was not affected. It didn't make it stronger or weaker.

Yes it does. I decarb mine in the microwave and it smokes so much stronger. I use a clear plastic cup and paper towel. Break up the tree, wrap the paper towel around the cup, that's to block the microwaves from burning the tree directly, the object is to heat it up not burn it up. Put the tree in the wrapped cup but lay the cup on the side, spread the tree out. Microwave for 45 secs, take cup out shake it up lay it back down sideways spread the tree back out and microwave for 30 more secs. Watch how stronger it smells once you take it out, roll it up and then BOOM!!! Trust me, that extra thc-a that decarbs into thc makes sooooooo much difference in the terpene profile 💨💨💨
As a long term smoker from the uk I have microwaved it on a couple of occasions… but I’m talking 10/11 years ago when the quality of weed that was accessible at the time was of poor quality and was often slightly damp and smoked poorly. A quick 5 or 6 second blast sorted it out 💨

I have a theory on this bro, I think the heat activates the thc differently than just outright smoking it, cuz i used to heat up my blunts with a lighter for a little while it always felt like it made the weed stronger/ different
im a grower and in a quick rush if i need something to smoke for medical reasons i will cut a few small nugs off the bottom of my plants and the microwave it in bursts of 5 seconds with the bud wrapped in a paper towel to trap the moister also every 5 seconds i would flip the bud in the paper towel for even try! the flavor was still pretty okay for a quick dry and it works it retains thc and i smoke it out the bong

Number 1 drying your weed does NOT activate THC (as soon as I read this part of your comment I knew you were clueless lol), activating THC is done by decarbing it in an oven. However you need to have it within a pretty precise temperature to do so. Using a microwave would number one cook it from the inside out and you can't even control the temp, so it could over heat the bud evaporating the THC. LMFAO

That's not how that works. His testing machine tests for THC and THC-a. However it COULD test as stronger since water, cannabinoids and terpenes could evaporate and change the ratio of THC to non-THC material.
If you were to decarb weed for an actual decent amount of time, it will make your high come quicker however your weed will lose potency when you light it up, putting a joint in the microwave for 11 seconds means that the high will come a few minutes quicker without losing any potency and the first few hits won't taste of butane so bad, been making edibles for a few years so I know that it's no where near as strong as decarboxylating cannabis for edibles. From the technical point of view, there are absolutely no problems with microwaving stuff. As long as you meant that there might be some whacky things going on because of the rays a microwave produces. I can assure you there's nothing to worry about that. Then again, some stuff reacts weirdly in a microwave. Like grapes, for example. But you could also eat a microwaves grape without any issues. Putting bud in it actually just dries it out. I heard of people who wouldn't want to wait for their homegrow to hang and the just put their fresh cut buds in the microwave for a couple of seconds.
@@1n2333 Microwaves simply cause water molecules found in food items to vibrate by exposing them to a specific microwave range, it produces radiation yes, but non-ionising, and not harmful to us. It does nothing to your food except heat it up, and actually preserves nutrients better than most other methods.

There could be be something to this though. Microwaves exite the water molecules to priduce the heat. So if some weed was finely ground up and a very small amout of water was sprayed on it and put in the microwave it may work. 11 seconds seems too short though, maybe 20-30 second bursts may work.
Apparently microwaves only make particles move faster, which heats up the matter. It does not contaminate the blunt, because nothing happens that wouldnt happen anyways. Eventually you'll heat it up much more when you light it, and if this doesnt make it toxic, either wont microwaving it.
no need to put your bud in a microwave... just put your bud in aluminum foil and heat it up on a stove for 10 sec each side for about 1 minute until you get popcorn smell... that would work better, in my opinion.
Used to get sensimilla of a old Jamaican guy... It was so dry and compressed you'd have to hold it over a boiling kettle and it would triple in size and become loose. Still tasted like burn grass and seed but it had a hell of a high.

To be fair, there would be zero danger in smoking microwaved bud. All a microwave does is heat up moisture. There's no nuclear radiation or anything, it's photons, the same stuff that makes up light.
Microwave was the only way in the 90s to cut solid /hash few seconds and it would cut like butter,if u went to far it would boil the oil and would taste so bad like burnt plastic bags I still sold it all 😂😂
I've tried drying an ounce broken up Indica bud in the household microwave - it works, and I use the technique to test a batch upon harvest. Power Level 1 (10%) for two sessions of an hour each, quarter of an hour apart. For Sativa, I expect maybe just the first hour to perhaps be sufficient.
ive smoked weed fan leafs by microwaving it dry and ive got a microscope and i can tell that the trichomes become more of an amber color and it does gets you high .. i also researched about this and some canadian weed companies actually use industrial microwaves to dry their buds .. so microwaveing is legit and even fan leafs got THC.
no lmao that isn't how it works. combustion alone is what's making your THC affect you, microwaving is totally unnecessary because you're combusting the weed when you're smoking it which negates any possible benefit whatsoever.
It works. Even with Ketamine. It's not decarboxylation. You're injecting high temperature that you can't feel (microwave radiation) making the molecule vibrate in a frequency you are not aware of but if you get it in touch with water, it will kick it away. I.e.: when it enters your receptors, it kicks out the water and makes a tighter bond. Stronger effect. It works for all drugs.

I’m in the United States and I’ve never heard anyone talk about thca unless they are referring to the farm bill in 2018 that made thca legal here. But a lot of people in the states don’t believe thca is a precursor to THC like in the shops

Personally I mainly vape bud. It putting out more flavor, it's cheaper in the long run and you'll be able to re-use the bud, if you vape with low degrees (The, cereal and so on).
This is a blunt thing. More about the wrap than the bud. Baking certain wraps with a lighter can change the taste, especially if you’re not good at it. But like I say certain wraps are prone to changing from the lighter. And if you're really bad at baking, or the bud is meh, you can end up evaporating terps, especially if they started out at low levels. Even if your J was wet and separating, spinning it round in the micro would do literally nothing. Just pull another paper and try again. I once broke a microwave, trying to dry a 0.3 bud to test it, after harvest. Shit sparked and my only concern was: "Damn, maybe it needed more flushing..." Then someone told me, microwaves, the older they get the more likely they are to do that with small amounts of liquid. Bud was dry enough and it was electric! As far as I know, I gained no super powers. However, there's been this dude following me around ever since. Always on about free, wireless, electricity... Mostly try to ignore him, till he sends his wife to peck at my head.
Put a plate in the microwave for 2 mins, take it out and then put your bud on the plate so you can control how much heat it gets and you won’t stink up the kitchen.
We used to do this when we were kids with our bars of solid. We used to put it in the microwave but only because it made it easier to chop up. In the end I used to use a band saw and all the dust that was left I put in a bag for personal it made skinning up effortless.

Yes, it would be called hash or resin as we used to call it. It came as a dark brown solid that would have to be heated with a flame in order to pinch a price of between your finger and thumb and crumble it into your joint.
Yup I have a machine specific to making canna butter I use a quarter ounce per stick put weed in oven at 240F for 40Mins weed is activated then mix it with your coconut butter then strain then you got your canna butter :)
I was rolling whilst watching this vid so popped it in the microwave for 15 seconds 900W and it just weakened the high is all I could say - didn't hit as hard as it did yesterday for sure. Tightened the joint a small but negligible amount and warmed it a couple of degrees max.
Take it from someone who has been smoking from before you were born - THERE IS NO RISK TO HEALTH FROM MICROWAVED BUD - microwaves are just radio waves and they do not stay in the bud just as the radio station your listening to is not stuck in your body. That said DO NOT microwave your bud as it will do little to nothing to improve your bud unless your bud is not fully dried. So the only time anybody would ever consider microwaving bud is a grower who wants or needs to test a bud / plant prior to it being dried properly. They may wish to do this to see which of their plants is best on a early test so if they have several plants which they have cuttings from and flowered those cuttings and therefore they will know which plant to take further cuttings from and which to just flower.
Many many years ago sketchy growers that were just in the game for the dough would microwave their bud to hurry up the drying process, the end result was not good.
I can tell you this much, when you've just taken down some plants but have nothing ready to smoke the microwave can be your friend. I learned how to get fresh chopped dry enough to smoke within an hour or 2. You can't just blast it if you want to actually enjoy it but you definitely can preserve the smell and effect if done properly although I would only ever do enough to get me through each day - I've never considered doing it as some sort improvement but I have often been surprised about how well it turned out considering I'd just microwaved it as an emergency measure. I resented buying it if I technically already had weed, especially when the only stuff available wasn't even up to much anyway.
That’s not good to do for many reasons, one when you speed dry your trapping a lot of chlorophyll in the plant which gives it that hay or grass like taste, also your not letting the terpenes open up which means your not getting the full affects, also micro wave causes radiation so really not good

I'm in the UK where things are more hit and miss - I could buy an eighth and it be amazing or terrible. When everyone only has garbage it doesn't make sense to pay for something when I have better options available. In an ideal world that would never happen but I don't live in an ideal world unlike you obviously do!

I stopped using the microwave a year ago and I will never go back. It’s really made food much better and after a week or two I didn’t even mind the extra time. Changing the food eat and the way I prepare it has made a huge improvement on I feel daily.

Number 1 drying your weed does NOT activate THC (as soon as I read this part of your comment I knew you were clueless lol), activating THC is done by decarbing it in an oven. However you need to have it within a pretty precise temperature to do so. Using a microwave would number one cook it from the inside out and you can't even control the temp, so it could over heat the bud evaporating the THC. LMFAO

If you were to decarb weed for an actual decent amount of time, it will make your high come quicker however your weed will lose potency when you light it up, putting a joint in the microwave for 11 seconds means that the high will come a few minutes quicker without losing any potency and the first few hits won't taste of butane so bad, been making edibles for a few years so I know that it's no where near as strong as decarboxylating cannabis for edibles.

From the technical point of view, there are absolutely no problems with microwaving stuff. As long as you meant that there might be some whacky things going on because of the rays a microwave produces. I can assure you there's nothing to worry about that. Then again, some stuff reacts weirdly in a microwave. Like grapes, for example. But you could also eat a microwaves grape without any issues. Putting bud in it actually just dries it out. I heard of people who wouldn't want to wait for their homegrow to hang and the just put their fresh cut buds in the microwave for a couple of seconds.

There could be be something to this though. Microwaves exite the water molecules to priduce the heat. So if some weed was finely ground up and a very small amout of water was sprayed on it and put in the microwave it may work. 11 seconds seems too short though, maybe 20-30 second bursts may work.

Apparently microwaves only make particles move faster, which heats up the matter. It does not contaminate the blunt, because nothing happens that wouldnt happen anyways. Eventually you'll heat it up much more when you light it, and if this doesnt make it toxic, either wont microwaving it.

ive smoked weed fan leafs by microwaving it dry and ive got a microscope and i can tell that the trichomes become more of an amber color and it does gets you high .. i also researched about this and some canadian weed companies actually use industrial microwaves to dry their buds .. so microwaveing is legit and even fan leafs got THC.

It works. Even with Ketamine. It's not decarboxylation. You're injecting high temperature that you can't feel (microwave radiation) making the molecule vibrate in a frequency you are not aware of but if you get it in touch with water, it will kick it away. I.e.: when it enters your receptors, it kicks out the water and makes a tighter bond. Stronger effect. It works for all drugs.

More about the wrap than the bud. Baking certain wraps with a lighter can change the taste, especially if you’re not good at it. But like I say certain wraps are prone to changing from the lighter.
And if you're really bad at baking, or the bud is meh, you can end up evaporating terps, especially if they started out at low levels.
Even if your J was wet and separating, spinning it round in the micro would do literally nothing. Just pull another paper and try again.

We used to do this when we were kids with our bars of solid. We used to put it in the microwave but only because it made it easier to chop up. In the end I used to use a band saw and all the dust that was left I put in a bag for personal it made skinning up effortless.

Yes, it would be called hash or resin as we used to call it. It came as a dark brown solid that would have to be heated with a flame in order to pinch a price of between your finger and thumb and crumble it into your joint.

Yup I have a machine specific to making canna butter I use a quarter ounce per stick put weed in oven at 240F for 40Mins weed is activated then mix it with your coconut butter then strain then you got your canna butter :)

Take it from someone who has been smoking from before you were born - THERE IS NO RISK TO HEALTH FROM MICROWAVED BUD - microwaves are just radio waves and they do not stay in the bud just as the radio station your listening to is not stuck in your body.
That said DO NOT microwave your bud as it will do little to nothing to improve your bud unless your bud is not fully dried.
So the only time anybody would ever consider microwaving bud is a grower who wants or needs to test a bud / plant prior to it being dried properly. They may wish to do this to see which of their plants is best on a early test so if they have several plants which they have cuttings from and flowered those cuttings and therefore they will know which plant to take further cuttings from and which to just flower.

I can tell you this much, when you've just taken down some plants but have nothing ready to smoke the microwave can be your friend. I learned how to get fresh chopped dry enough to smoke within an hour or 2. You can't just blast it if you want to actually enjoy it but you definitely can preserve the smell and effect if done properly although I would only ever do enough to get me through each day - I've never considered doing it as some sort improvement but I have often been surprised about how well it turned out considering I'd just microwaved it as an emergency measure. I resented buying it if I technically already had weed, especially when the only stuff available wasn't even up to much anyway.
That’s not good to do for many reasons, one when you speed dry your trapping a lot of chlorophyll in the plant which gives it that hay or grass like taste, also your not letting the terpenes open up which means your not getting the full affects, also micro wave causes radiation so really not good
