I agree. This gets my adrenaline going too. This song makes me want to throw punches. I mean that in a good way. There's something so intense about this song, the beat is wonderful and raw. One of Puppy's best songs of their more current work. I was in love with this song from the first listen, & I'm still lovin' it!
I'm in love with Ogre-He's so creative. Has anyone heard WELT? That's bone chillingly industrial with his sexy creepy voice. Love this vid and the DVD.
this is my favorite skinny puppy song! I know some people hated on them for making their sound more mainstream/commercial, but I think this song is fire!!
This is good shit. Skinny Puppy is, was, and shall always be one of the best performance acts around. RIP, Dwayne Goettel. You taught me everything I know about electronic texture. I wish you were here to show me more.
They are awesome! For those who think they've " lost somethin' ", please give their newest "Mythmaker" a reallllllll good listen around 20+ times... or any of their side projects (Tear Garden, etc.)... Thanks & Groove on...
I saw them after they rebanded for Mythmaker, and they were fucking amazing live. Ogre was dressed up like a bloody catholic priest and sort of birthed himself from between latex screen and flicked fake blood from his fingertips on the crowd. He also wore of the coolest mask helmet things I'd ever seen. It had a beak. And it was metal.
@TenthBlackRose It warms my soul to say that I was saving my lunch money (I didn't get allowance) to buy my music ie Skinny Puppy "Cleanse Fold and Manipulate" and "Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse" on cassette, etc. LMAO (You know, when Moby Dick was a minnow.) :P When I see all these fans & people arguing over who's a bigger fan or who knows more about Ministry, SP, Nitzer Ebb, etc. I chuckle & smirk 'cuz I always knew I had good taste. v'''''v
@TheNineinchsnails She's not completely wrong, it started in the post-industrial era, Throbbing Gristle started doing their thing to take peoples mind off the depression of the industrial era. Hence Industrial Records - ergo Industrial music. Sorry, just a fun fact.
@TheNineinchsnails In a way it does, Throbbing Gristle, in more words said that all music before them had been 'agricultural' and not music for the post-industrial era, hence coining the term 'industrial' as their record label.
Yes, WTF is exactly what I said when I heard SYL's music. Haha. I haven't heard SYL's earlier music before, and now I see what you mean too. But still, it's a bit hard to compare artists of different genres.
i didnt get into skinny puppy until i heard this song really. Im a big RevCo/Ministry fan and i know the kind of history that Ogre has with Al and Chris but alot of his shit is just too spaced out for me. The Greater Wrong of the Right is a beautiful album though and it brings me back to the older KMFDM electronic style industrial, and that makes me happy :)
I somewhat agree with you, the first time I ever heard SP, was like, "Dude, this is lame". The 2nd time around though, I ended up liking them... pretty weird...
Shitloads of effects. Over the years there has been Chorus, Distortion, Reverb, Phaser, Pitchshifter, Flanger, Gapper and real time sampling. Hope that helps (ish)
Dude....how can you even compare SYL to Skinny Puppy? First of all, they aren't very similar, and second, SP is obviously much more original and better in general.
yeah, they basically suck now imo. ill give them the fact that they are unique... but musically, i can see this stuff on mtv going mainstream for like nin fans. definatley not the old stuff. oghr says his singing has gotten better since he first started... i beg to differ

Devil on Drums!
Master of Sounds!
He's so unbelievable perfekt!
"Davor ziehe ich den Hut"!!!!
I agree. I love their old stuff, but their new stuff is even more intriguing.
now this is much better. thanks.
Haters gonna hate. I loved their techier stuff after their comeback.
This is good shit. Skinny Puppy is, was, and shall always be one of the best performance acts around.
RIP, Dwayne Goettel. You taught me everything I know about electronic texture. I wish you were here to show me more.
I heard of Skinny Puppy from Repo! The Genetic Opera. I am so glad that I found both of them. =)

this band is alot better live than on record..
They are awesome! For those who think they've " lost somethin' ", please give their newest "Mythmaker" a reallllllll good listen around 20+ times... or any of their side projects (Tear Garden, etc.)... Thanks & Groove on...
I love how Ogre jumps down from that high place in the back. Best fucking entrance ever.
Back & Forth vol.1 is a legend, man. It doesn't exist. At least that is what I tell myself to feel better about not having it.
@foreverdawn6 I know. I came here from Repo too and I'm shock I have never heard of this band.
This pleases me:)
Yea his side project Ohgr is awesome! I hadn't heard of Rx tho, so thanks for the tip!
@TheNineinchsnails that was a nice thing to do man,but NIN are my favourite band of all time.
this is the shit! i saw one of the gigs on this tour.. it was so fuckin awesome!
I saw them after they rebanded for Mythmaker, and they were fucking amazing live. Ogre was dressed up like a bloody catholic priest and sort of birthed himself from between latex screen and flicked fake blood from his fingertips on the crowd. And at 0:53, Ogre lets us know that despite his appearance, he comes in peace. How thoughtful.
FUCK YEAH THIS RULES
I was at that show, and Ogre ripped a heart in half during this song, where is that part?
Come back to Vancouver Honey.
@TheNineinchsnails In a way it does, Throbbing Gristle, in more words said that all music before them had been 'agricultural' and not music for the post-industrial era, hence coining the term 'industrial' as their record label.
Discipline :3
I like the costume
how fucking good are they!
@DSCKSR Im honestly highly doubting that since all of Skinny Puppy are huge on Animal Rights and I dont think that they would actually do that.
i'm so there ! w00tx2
sounds about 100 times more bad ass live than on cd
maybe you're right. anyway, that was the best part of the whole show.
Yes, WTF is exactly what I said when I heard SYL's music. Haha.
I haven't heard SYL's earlier music before, and now I see what you mean too. But still, it's a bit hard to compare artists of different genres.
Key may make the awesome music, but Nivek provides the awesome theatrics and really completes the band
Obviously most of you don't realize this is from the dvd of "The Greater Wrong of The Right" Tour.
@TheNineinchsnails somebody i work with just asked me if i'm listening to techno.
Live it was awesome...they played ugly :D And many other ones ! Almost got towinged but was worth it !
I am too but that doesn't make this music any less bad
37 cd's? wow give me some lol'

Look into Nivek Ogre's side projects Ohgr and Rx if you like the newer Skinny Puppy sound, they're very similar.
I somewhat agree with you, the first time I ever heard SP, was like, "Dude, this is lame". The 2nd time around though, I ended up liking them... pretty weird...
ахуительно! всем респекты
what did u searh to find it?
*creams self*
can anyone tell me how Ogre makes his voice like this?
I must say the shows in the 80ties were also not bad,but it looks like that they have now much more money for the live shows.......
KORN: " I soo wish I was these guys!"
You sure that was I'mmortal and not Vivisect VI?
@TheNineinchsnails YOU'RE SO COOL
@TheNineinchsnails I have no idea who Jimmy Neutron is. I thought thought your :"laughed in her face" comment was a desperate attempt to seem edgy.
I met cEVIN key :D
@TheNineinchsnails lol I got ya, its cool
@CinemaAlliance except they are nothing like rob zombie and they dont suck
Shitloads of effects. Over the years there has been Chorus, Distortion, Reverb, Phaser, Pitchshifter, Flanger, Gapper and real time sampling.

@TheNineinchsnails its actually related to the industrial era Imaginary...
you laughed too fast...
@TheNineinchsnails & TheHteChyId
Actually you're both wrong. So I do believe a lol is in order.
a bit strange... but its all good!
@ Comments:
NIN/EBM, Industrial? Great satire. 5/5
Me thinks most of you SP newbies should look into a book, not Wiki.
Dude....how can you even compare SYL to Skinny Puppy? First of all, they aren't very similar, and second, SP is obviously much more original and better in general.
Demonic!!!
Agreed. But I think they are still far away from mainstream.
He really is wearing a dog gutted dog suit. (looks like German Shepard? and your a fools if you don't believe.
cry about it your poetry writing stereotype
