thanks so much for this video .... the right amount of talk ... and really showing up what the pedal do and sound ... in such a simply and really effective way .... Thank you so much .... it "Rocks" .... greetings from Portugal! ...
Mike P it’s great in front of clean or dirty. Personally , like with most dirt pedals, I prefer it into a slightly pushed amp so the boost side can drive the amp into a natural overdrive and the gain of the dirt side of the pedal blends a little better with the characteristics of the amp. It’s a great great pedal
It’s a good question. Maybe just to justify the price hike ? They’re definitely the same parts though according to Zvex. www.zvex.com/guitar-pedals/box-of-rock-vexter-guitar-effects-pedal-2020
Arnaud D I’d be tempted with the Friedman BE OD: ua-cam.com/video/wJvi1vqFGd4/v-deo.html Check out his gear list here: equipboard.com/pros/jerry-cantrell Note the great amps though, not just his pedals. The Friedman will get you closer to that hot modded Marshall sound.
That Tele... nice, dude. I always thought the BOR worked better with singles. Imo it gets a bit muddy and muffled with humbuggies. P90s tho - that's where it's at! Cheers. Good demo.
Thx dude. Absolutely agree that single coils sound great through this pedal. And I bet you’re totally right about p90s! It loves an open sounding pickup with some punch.
@@samgoffenguitar Yeah man. I have this hotrodded Epiphone SG with Duncan P90 "Buckers". Splittable, and being SDs, the single P90 actually sounds legit when you split (hey that rhymes) - and as P90 humbuckers they roar. When I'm using that guitar I just leave the boost side of the BOR on all the time and kick in the drive and various other dirts in front of it - makes everything sound better. Cheers!
Thx for the comment. I feel the demo gives a decent overall sound of the box:) but it isn’t possible to explore every sound possible of every pickup type and selection, there just isn’t enough time in the day, so there’ll always be something that isn’t perfect for everyone. I hope it was at least a little helpful tho;)
@@samgoffenguitar To be fair, I think people like me are in the minority, and I did like that you showed the variety of sounds you can get from this little guy! Also it's understandable I suppose, just thought a quick rundown of a couple chords on each pup would've been nice.

Nice demo✨🎶😎👍🏼
Hey thx for the comment. Very kind of you:)
Does this pedal best designed to be input in front of clean/dirty channel?

Why are the screen printed “vexter” series only a 2 year warranty and the hand painted have a lifetime warranty if they are the same parts?

@@mattgilbert7347 sounds absolutely awesome:) gotta love the dirt:)
Ben Gibbard of death cab uses this pedal!
It’s a great pedal. Seems overlooked IMO. Get them cheaper on eBay than you could :)

A beautiful pedal
Stormtrooper !
!! 😃
I hate when people demo gear and just use one pup. People like me who use the middle position as their main sound don't get the info they need...

I’ll try to do that in the future. It’s a good point. I do tend to go from neck to bridge :)
